He should still be on our sidelines as our head coach, hopefully Mayo does Great most definitely though but Belichick should still be the coach, he could have let the General Manager go, but stayed as head coach

Nobody loves Bill more than I do, but he and the Patriots needed a fresh start.
Who knows... maybe his coaching style just won't work for this new generation. Doesn't take away from the fact that he had probably the greatest 20 year run in sports history.
Brady and Belichick were both great, but they made each other better.
Belichick was possibly the only coach who wanted to draft him at all. He also was probably the only coach who had the balls to keep him in and keep Bledsoe on the sideline.
So it wasn't all Brady. It's totally possible that, without Belichick, almost nobody outside of Michigan would remember him. Bill gave him the chance to blossom.

@@moheganson _ How is the greatest GM in NFL history and the greatest coach "horrible" and "mediocre"? That makes no sense. He made no names into Hall of Famers. Brady was a lowly 6th rd pick. Malcolm Butler made millions because BB gave him a tryout. Edelman. Slater. He's drafted 6 or 7 other Hall of Fame players beyond Brady. He invented the Cap Era recipe on how to build teams over and over and over. He was so great, the Jets owner hired a commissioner to try to slow him down by making up stories to feed the media to take draft picks. It's how Pats fans knew Deflategate was also a framejob. It's so awkward watching you people years later still look like complete fools, just riddled with jealousy. We can only imagine how many more rings they would have had without Goodell's shenanigans hiding behind the owners' cheating from 345 Park Ave. It's the stuff of legend. Yet, you claim he's "mediocre" or "horrible". You may want to reach out for form help from a professional. You people need it. This is like saying Red Auerbach was mediocre or horrible. I'm thankful I was alive on this planet during the time in history when I got to witness the Brady/Belichik duo from start to finish. Before Brady/Belichik, it was Breaking News whenever the Patriots actually made it into the playoffs. Of course, we never expected the Pats to actually get to the Superbowl, but it was still fun that they made it to the playoffs. That all changed during the Brady/Belichik years. The playoffs were just assumed. And getting to the Superbowl became an expectation during those years.

The Patriots are the standard for which every professional sports franchise should strive to achieve success. There will NEVER be another 20 years of excellence like that NEVER!!! I’m so Blessed to have been a fan to witness it all.

It was Bill who drafted Tom. It was Bill who kept Tom on the roster as the 4th QB his rookie season. And it was Bill who made the decision keep Tom as the starter once Bledsoe was healthy enough to play.

And it was also Bill who scared Tom for his job after subpar postseasons (elephant in the room) for years and years where it looked like it wasn't going to end, byt drafting Jimmy Garoppolo. That's where Brady's daddy started running his mouth in interviews, but the genius of it by BB actually scared Brady from being traded by being better, getting back under Center more, using a FB, and spreading the ball around so the LaFells, Amendolas, Hogans, etc, got touches to get back to being the better postseason Brady of yesteryear (2001-2004). Give me old school pre Giselle Brady all day long. That's what BB wanted Brady to get back to, and to stop checking out of the run all the time and throwing almost exclusively from the shogton. Brady wanted it, it didn't work in the postseason, so BB addressed it. Genius. Greatest draft picks in history: BB for a 1st, Brady for a 6th and Garoppolo for a 2nd. Truth. BB worked with Garoppolo daily and Brady knew what that meant. It's what made Brady do what he did at the end, but it still yielded 3 more rings for the fans. Without BB drafting Garoppolo, no way a 2nd dynasty is formed. No way.

And as a Die Hard Colts fan we definitely hated Belichick and Brady but my God we definitely appreciated their skills I watched every single game that was not against the Colts I watched every single game that was against the Colts of course but just to watch those guys and how they commanded the game and work together as a team was just amazing and I knew it was going to be a struggle for the coast to win I knew it was going to be a struggle for the coast to get that that freaking Super Bowl we needed but again I just appreciate both the coach and the player Tom Brady man just amazing competitors I had nothing but high respect for all of the players ❤❤super Colts fan out

Even Though Bill Made Some Bad Decisions Towards The End Of His Tenure With The Patriots,He Would Always Be Remembered As The Man Who Drafted The Greatest Player Of All Time In Tom Brady Along With Building Up Those Rosters Each Year To Keep Us Competitive.

Amazing reception and warranted fully. As a Brit who got into the NFL late it was incredible to witness the Patriots era with Belichick and Brady. I started to really root for the team as the years of their triumphant period took centre stage. Maybe something that will never be repeated in the sport ever again. Kansas Chiefs are good but this New England Patriots time was built from the grass-roots up with the manager, coaches and quarter-back fully in sync with other top players like Gronkowski locking in too. Some periods of life are unique forever.

The greatest thing about Tom Brady was not his arm, his talent, or his IQ, or even his prep though he was great at those things. No, the reason Tom Brady is the GOAT and has 7 rings is because when the game was on the line, when it was 4th down, and you needed a first, Tom would almost always deliver or at least delivered more than any other quarterback ever. Tom may not be the GOAT skill wise at the position though he is definitely top 3, he is the GOAT at winning. Idc how skilled someone else is, if I had to bet my life savings on a win, I’d bet on Tom Brady.

When the game was on the line and you needed a first down, Mac Jones would almost never deliver. He will never ever become the GOAT at winning. Idc how unskilled someone else is, if I had to bet my life on a loss, I’d bet on Mac Jones. It’s said that absence makes the heart grow fonder. If so, then BB must have become really fond of Brady these last two seasons.
