It's almost like I forget about Tim holding down that deep base floor so that everyone cam build on. And Adam keeping that timing and flair. Man, am I amazed.
My favorite live performance is “Home Free How Great Thou Art Kearney, MO”. There is a story that comes with this performance. It was an outdoor show unfortunately after just 3 songs a thunderstorm with lightning interrupted the performance. They told us to wait under the pavilion (which was up a hill) and if the storm passed, they would finish the concert. Sadly, the storm did not pass. At one point we saw 5 guys climbing that same hill to join us under the pavilion. They told us the concert was cancelled because the storm wasn’t going to pass in time but if we were quiet they would sing us one song-no microphones-no amps. Just their 5 voices. th-cam.com/video/BP6UqZ5jnqE/w-d-xo.html
As always the guys did a fabulous version of this song. I wouldn't expect anything different from them. They are amazing! The ending sounded like a nod to "Kiss From A Rose" by Seal. Also like the cute video that goes along with it. A lot of people have covered this song. It was first done by "Lonestar" in 1999. Bonnie Tyler did a cover in 2003 & Boyz II Men in 2009.
They never disappoint. They take an already gem of a song, polish it up and put their own magic into it and make it shine even brighter. Love everything they do and this is no exception. If you didn't know better, you'd swear they have a complete band backing them up. Amazing.
Congratulations my friend Missy!!...I have seen your reactions to Dimash, the best male singer of the world (In my personal opinion)...Now I want to invite you to meet, who is considered the Fourth All Time Vocal Trinity (with Whitney, Mariah and Celine) and one of the Best Female Singers of the World...The passion and dedication when Dimash is performing a song can only be compared with the person who has influenced him to sing leaving everything on stage: His idol, the queen, the incomparable, the Goddess: Lara Fabian.....Lara is the best female singer and performer of the world...She is a lyric soprano with a amazing vocal range and incredible breath control...She speaks and composes in 5 languages and sings in more than 15 languages....That's why she is the inspiration for Dimash and several singers around the world...You can see covers of her songs on TH-cam made by singers of the stature of: Dimash, Diana Ankudinova, Polina Gagarina, Forestella, Julie Anne San Jose, Sissel Kyrkjebo, Floor Jansen, Diana Navarro, Giulia Falcone, Morissette Amon, Gabriel Henrique, Rimar, Katrina Velarde, Cakra Khan and others...Please react to her songs, all masterpieces, in LIVE versions, because Lara is more impressive when she sings live, so you can see why she is the idol of Dimash...Try to do it in this order and almost all songs are from the same Lara’s concert “From Lara With Love” in Montreal 1999, one of her best works: 1) Je Suis Malade (Singing in French)...2) Caruso (Singing in Italian)...3) Je T'AIME (2002 Live version in Paris Singing in French)...4) Perdere L'Amore (1999 Live version Singing in Italian)...5) Adagio (1999 Live version singing in english)...6) Broken Vow (1999 Live version singing in English)...7) You are Not From Here (1999 Live version singing in English)...8) Quédate (1999 Live version singing in Spanish)....9) Ti Amo Cosi (2019 Live version Singing a trío with Dimash and Aida Garifullina)....I hope to see you first reaction soon and if you don't mind, I'd like you to mention me as the person who recommended reacting to Lara...Here you have the link of her amazing performance of the song “Je Suis Malade”....th-cam.com/video/eHSyk4SGtuY/w-d-xo.html
Loved your reaction. Thx! Lead #2 is Austin Brown, our southern Georgia boy. Very southern. Love this song; it's so beautiful, and I love how they incorporated snippets of Seal's, "Kiss From a Rose" in the bridge and ending. Just gorgeous! They have absolutely mastered harmony. Their chord choices and arrangementts melt my heart. ❤️ My favorite live performance will always be this one because there was a big surprise in it and just a lot of fun... Well, I'm obviously biased, but this is my favorite so far, shot just 2 weeks ago (as of this post), on Home Free's summer tour. "Fishing In The Dark/Boondocks" mashup: th-cam.com/video/7Oic2fJls9Q/w-d-xo.html
I love Home Free. You’re right, their harmonies are outstanding. And the beatboxer is amazing. I love their concert at St. Andrews Scotland (2016). They don’t have Chance singing with them yet they have Chris Rupp. (He is the founder of Home Free with his brother Adam, the beatboxer)and he left the group later in 2016 and Chance joined then. But the reason I love that concert is that they are close to the audience and it’s so clear (the one filmed by Kim Ball). It doesn’t matter which song. I like them all. Maybe their version of 9 to 5 (by Dolly Parton) because they all do beatboxing in the middle of the song and it’s great. Enjoyed your analysis. Try Helplessly Hoping, Brothers in Arms, In the Blood, What We Ain’t Got. I subscribed.😃
This one is from a few years back, but I still LOVE it! ❤😍 I think you'll really like it since you like their harmonies. Doesn't get much better than this! "Seven Bridges Road" (The Eagles cover), from 2017. th-cam.com/video/UBH7hIWHrDU/w-d-xo.html
They are amazing. Rob doesn't display a southern twang because he's from here in Minnesota. Austin is a good ole Georgia boy. For a live performance that is better quality than a fan phone one, I recommend this version of Go Rest High On That Mountain: th-cam.com/video/gxrblK9vfvQ/w-d-xo.html or this version of their original Dreamer which is a collab with Texas Hill and so does have some keyboard and guitar th-cam.com/video/lEC3m-zpUuM/w-d-xo.html

A few words about Nightwish (Floor Jansen), Angelina Jordan, Dimash and more. Alan Dean Foster, the famous American fantasy and science fiction writer who applied his writing talent to such hits as Star Wars and Star Trek, maintains a music section on his blog. "There are many good singers, fewer great singers, and a very small number who are unique singers. Diana is a natural dramatic contralto. This is the lowest range for a female singer. She is also polyphonic. Roughly, this means that when she sings she often sounds like more than one person singing at once. As you can imagine, the combination is extraordinary. So too is her full range. Singers at age 14 can do things that astonish us. Witness the careers of Jordan and the Dutch prodigy Amira Willighagen. But even when included in this company there is something special about Diana. I love the performances of the two singers I just mentioned, but they are (perfectly) controlled and measured. Diana is more akin to a force of nature. One of the most common descriptions of her performances is “shamanistic.” Some of this has to do with the remarkable timbre of her voice, some with the sheer intensity of her performing. In this she is closer to Floor Jansen. With both women you can see as well as hear the intensity, the emotion, contained with both the lyrics and the music. A duet between the two would be something magical." I would also like to draw your attention to this young vocalist Diana Ankudinova.
Alan Foster writes further:: "Her first two-minute performance on the show (all the initial performances are brief) is of a very dark version of Elvis Presley’s “Can’tHelp Falling in Love.” I’m not sure what you anticipate hearing, but I guarantee it won’t be anything like what you expect. The show’s production values are also outstanding. Two things I noticed immediately when comparing this performance to Diana’s previous ones: first, her control shows the results of ayear’s worth of professional voice training, and second, as she matures her power is becoming fully unleashed. When someone says she blows you away, it carries a literal meaning. " Alan's full article on Diana is posted in my Community section.
