@@shugo541 Those early amp demo videos were sooo good! My first video was probably Peavey 5150 - Metal or an Engl one. It's incredible to see how much amp sim has evolved over the years, especially if you started from Pod Farm!
This is the best sounding tone I've heard on the channel. Particularly channel 2, is so natural sounding idk how to describe it, a beautiful chug tone.
On the contrary, I always thought his playing is incredible while his tone is awful. So muddy with no midrange. For the longest time I thought it was just the way Boogies sound, until I learned more about it and realized it’s just the way he sets his amp up (extreme v-shaped EQ).
I saw your comment and HAD to say. I recently ordered the solar v in that color. It's easily one of the best guitars I've ever played. If you play, you should get one. I got the 2.6 and it's amazing.
This is like bringing a twin reverb into a contest called “will it blues” or “will it clean” though now I’m just imagining someone bringing a twin reverb into a cleaning contest among a bunch of windex, bleach and 409. It would still clean better.
Love the channel I watch every episode I'm a older Metalhead but I have got more out of watching your videos then taking lessons keep up the good work looking forward to a feared album and thanks for the sub and like Piledriver said if you're not a Metalhead you might as well be dead
Ola- your cameras going out reminds me of a time years ago when I got a new iPod and loaded Testament’s “Souls of Black” album onto it. I got about four songs in, and the entire iPod locked up and wouldn’t shut off. I had to drive it back over to the Apple store, and by that time the back of the iPod was hot to the touch. The souls, they were too blaaahck!
A local shop got a JP2C when they were first released. Nobody even looked at it for a year. They marked it down 25% to move it. They were $2500 at the time. I got it out the door for $2000 and change. I figured if I didn't bond with it I could get my money back. I didn't bond with it. No surprise. It's a Boogie. I gigged with a MKII C+ combo in the early 90s that I was lukewarm about. Nice tone but way too fiddly. Once I found a tone I liked I couldn't touch anything on the amp. JP2C was the same. Traded the JP2C for a powered Kemper toaster, remote and bag which is now my dream rig. Both of those retailed for $2700 at the time so a good trade for both people and I made out well. I just checked today and the JP2C is now $3450. Holy crap.
I was really hoping the video would cut out as you wrapped up and just your voice kept going :D Wicked sounding amp sir!! You know it's good when it makes the Ola make the faces of WOHHHHOOOAAAAARRRR
I had a Mark V. Sold it (like an idiot). Only piece of gear I’ve ever regretted selling. Two years later I found a used Mark V:35. Almost all the joy, much lighter and kicks a$$. Never selling it…
Camera killing chugg !! In the development video with JP playing the final prototypes at MB in Petaluma, they talk about how tight and resonant the amp is... the word they used is " Kugg... kugg".
I just picked up a JP2C and a Mesa 4x12 with V30’s in it and goddamn this amp is a beast! I don’t know which amp I like more, the JP2C or my Mark IV Rev A!
Was there ever any doubt?! Not in my educated mind!! Oh SHIT! The camera's & mic's couldn't handle the majesty of the Chugg's I dare say! Love this stuff Ola!!!!! Thanks man; you made my day!!🌞 (Gotta go do some riffing NOW! On my Solar A1.6 Artist series BOP!👶) V⚡
What is truly hilarious, is that he was making it chug the whole time at the beginning in channel 2. Everyone always goes straight to channel 3, and forgets that channel 2 on any amp mind you, is still there and useful
Thanks for uploading. I would much appreciate one where we can see the effects of moving each of the knobs as you dial it in... what's the range of presense etc. Thanks as always.
The metal gods couldn't handle the awesome riffage and drained Camera batteries to keep from imploding. The extreme chugging can change the world. Stronger harder faster ......boom !
God damn, the gain isn't even kranked up all the way on ch2 and 3? It sounds badass. The push\pull knob was nice. Got my 1st mesa, a Mk V 90w and roadster 4x12 6 months ago and fkn love it. I put an eq in the loop to get just a little more oomph but The JP is killing it all by itself.
the chugs were so brutal, they killed all the cameras.
Hi Ola, just realized I have watched you chug for more than 10 years now. Please keep on chugging.
Same. I think the first video i watched was the original ENGL Savage video, with Bosse and an HB 212.

Me too, since 09 or 10. I used to record guitar covers back in 08-11 with a shitty Nokia phone!
@@woodward_alanoh shit man. I probably should
The sound coming out of the cab is actually the word “chug”.
no 🧢
I put closed captions on and this is correct
It f...ng is.😈
Holy shit, this sounds so good. Brutal, chuggy tone with a lot of body.
THIS! /\

@@fondfarewell2 channel 2 and 3 are actually duplicates on this amp. He just has them set up a little differently
In the words of Jack Black: “Nobody can kill the metal.”
Always loved JP signature gear. Some people may think he's overrated, but you can't deny his tones are incredible.
On the contrary, I always thought his playing is incredible while his tone is awful. So muddy with no midrange. For the longest time I thought it was just the way Boogies sound, until I learned more about it and realized it’s just the way he sets his amp up (extreme v-shaped EQ).
@@singleproppilot I stand corrected then lol
@@singleproppilot steroid definitely destroy him. The old Ibanez era JP tone is top notch!
When the CHUG is fucking up your camera's focus; You know you've got it dialed.
one of the best tones ive ever heard. my god
This was the video John Petrucci specifically asked for in your interview! Go Ola!
It chugs so much that cameras keep dying, they can't stand it! 🤘 Amazing amp, amazing sound!
I was just now chugging with that same Solar model. The amp plays a big part in having fun but that kickass guitar is the main reason imo
So good. The GAS is almost painful.
Uh..u should really get that checked out. A colonoscopy perhaps.
Just fart my friend, let It Go!
You mean AAS amp*
What is GAS?
@@NGS2410 Gear Acquisition Syndrome - basically this is my dream amp
Probably the best amp ever produced. That’s the sound for Chanel 2!!!!! Mesa is the shit.

JP2C: The Camera Slayer
My Boogie Mark III Purple Stripe still going strong and will chug all day long. One amp I will never let go!

Nothing beats that mesa boogie mark series growl! Man...
No effort, no camera, plug directly into amp.
I love it.
That amp sounds killer. I can tell you totally dig it too because when it sounds that good, you seem to play effortlessly. Stay true to the CHUG 🤘😎
I love that tone!
That thing sounds like it's ripping itself apart but magically being reconstructed at the same time.
