I really am starting to enjoy your videos thank you. Have you gotten something to hold your camera yet? Imagine driving with 2 hands 🤣 giving you a hard time brother
well I'm glad to have you, I can almost drive and watch the truck, not the phone and keep it fairly well centered, its like my right hand has evolved into a gyro of some kind lol I drive one handed at comps now, I'm just so used to it.
I like how this Diff is more beef up. I'm sure it will help out a lot with the better ESC and 8s motors. I can't wait till you do the 1650 mod. After that smaller gear then punch it to a higher number. That still let you harness its True power Super Mojave Mode.
When driving the truck at the end you said you didn't mention this to you guys but I did something? I can't make out what you said. I'm wondering if you put a locker in the rear?
Hi Joe. Your links are broken for the diff cases. And are they VITAVON Arrma 6S Kraton Mojave Fireteam Typhon CNC Alu7075 bulkhead Ar310854 red (I like red)? Thanks heaps. (Yeah, I have the Mojave EXB inbound)
So what's the secret with the shims on the arm has upper arms and lower arms taking them out to the easy part it's I don't know why I'm having such a hard time putting back in
@@ExocagedRC yes Upgrades the stock 5x11x4mm unsealed outer pinion bearing with an oversized 5x13x4mm sealed bearing and is included with the case - i like the look of the Vitavon one, but the price is just too high really - just ordered two of the HR ones
The price is actually about the same. HR housings come in two separately purchased pieces and the vitavon comes as you see it. Maybe 20$ difference overall.
Ive been through so many ring gears .have to change cases after while or you keep stripping 25 gears i love the arrmas but my only gripe , really jus my kraton that does it
Vitavon pricing is too high. Not sure how he's basing price point but he's at mid range 1/5 scale prices. Btw should have changed out your diff carriers to the arrma or hot racing aluminum ones while you had it apart great upgrade and will stop from melting the stock ones especially since your running 8s.
Well the diff cups are easy to change out when they break. I'm more worried about the center diff melting with the power its having to work with now, and about to be more...
Hi I have 2 of these on the way for my kraton 6s. I believe their the same cases as you have, are they the same size bearings as stock? I need to order some sealed ones. Would really appreciate your response :)
I just bought 4 more 5000mah Turnigy 4S directly from hobbyking a few minutes ago. $129 shipped for 4. Yeah Amazon is really screwed up right now. Best to avoid them until this crap passes over.
Cant recommend the Turnigys enough - either the Graphene Panthers or the Heavy Duty ones - both great Lipo's, have an unboxing and little review on my channel
I have these housings for my kraton 6s and am experiencing a tight rear diff when I fasten the bulkhead to the chassis. Is there any modifications you made or anything you did to avoid this? Btw I loved this video and was very informative, just ran into a slight problem when trying to install mine. If you or anyone on here can get back to me, any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
I have exactly the same on my Mojave and tightening it completely to the chassis my front diff stops.... I measured and the tolerances are different from the stock
From the video footage, Exocaged chassis is different from mine. I have the EXB version and the indentation in the chassis to let the diff spur spin freely is not so deep so it rubs there, and when the screws underneath are tighten is totally stops. My solution is to put 2 small nylon washers on the rear (inside) holes and use silicone tape cut in small slices to cover the tiny openings. I'll try and post results. This vitavon looks and feels great so I want to have it in there. Another solution could be to dremel deeper into the chassis to make room make that's permanent and I don't want to accidentally damage it.
I have been a long time subscriber and like your vids but I have asked you the same question in three different videos and no answer and I do see how you answer everyone else's questions.. sorry had to unsubscribe
I hope you receive this. The question was... in your past videos you've tested both the 1100 KV hobbywing and recently tested the Castle Creations MMX 8s 800 KV sensored system. In one of your videos you said you preferred the 1100 KV. Now that you have tested the full Castle system what would you prefer in your kraton 8s as that is what I have. Thank you for your time and your reply stay safe and stay healthy and keep making great vids
Glad I watched this video. Thanks for sharing these upgrades. Now I know what to look for on my Mojave.
Another great video. Exocaged RC can you please make a list of the bearing that are in the "Diffs" I would greatly appreciate it so much.
the only bearing thats different from stock is the outer bearing and thats a 5x13x4.
That thing has some get up and go I like it 👍🏾I jus now ordered the Optimus 3 chassis figured I'd go head and grab one before they're outta stock.
you're going to love it!
Im going try aluminum cases eventually myself , my kraton chassis so flimsy i need a real t2t brace or jus replace my chassis

Fun truck i have the db
1 of your 4 diff screws seems to be back off at 6:37

i find that the stock arrma bearings arent the best.. once change very good!
Can you do another video on the hpi baja 5b brushless pls ?
I don’t think I’ve done anything with the 5b
I enjoyed your video's

Great Video - do you know how these compare the the Hot Racing ones ? need to get a set but torn between these and the HR ones
well I haven't had the HR ones but I know these are very nice, does the HR ones have a larger input bearing?

This is why I went with metal cases. I have a buddy who can’t keep his gears alive in his Kraton 6S and I believe these are the same.

I think they are the same. You may need a couple larger bearings like I showed in this video.
Exocaged RC hi yea I’ve ordered the bearings. I checked with the manufacturer I just hope everything lines up ok

What do you think I should put in it I'm thinking max 6 and what castle 6s motor you think
Looks like a nice truck. In the 1/10 SCT trucks I always liked the Tekin 4300kv 550 size motor.
Bags of those gears 😆
Hi! Iz this compatible with typhon 6s?
Yeah I think they go right in but not 100% sure on that.
Only mod left is a Flux Capacitor!!!
😂
I would like to know what do recommend for the Mojave to keep it from rolling over on turns cause it is so top heavy?
I’ve found it’s easiest to just slow down and learn the truck.

$88 compared to $54 for the Hot racing. Worth the extra $70 for the pair?
That's what I was thinking. Price is extreme
So far I’ve had great luck with both Vitavon and HotRacing. I chose these and am happy with them
Wow but these are whole case where HR. Have buy cover right?
@@DSC1320 its not actually, bc the HR is only half the case for 54

Mike RR I like the 800kv but the way it’s geared I’d happily try out an 1100kv in there if I had one.
