I just watched this video and nearly started crying. It instantly made me think about two special people in my life. The different paths we took in life separated us and we barely communicate, but every time we do, it's as if we'd never been apart. My best friend graduated a month ago, and given that he’s a year ahead, I won’t see him in person for awhile. Good thing we’ve made plans to meet up when we’ve both stabilized our lives!
This was me up until about 2 years ago. I tried so hard and did every thing I could to be a good friend but every time, I would find out sooner or later that they were toxic and the "friendship would quickly end. But then I met my best friend (and because of meeting that friend, I was able to be reunited with my lifelong best friend that I've known since I was a baby!) You'll find true friends one day, trust me. It may take a little while, or it may take no time at all. But once you do, life is so much better! Just keep on doing what you do are doing and you'll find some true friends soon enough! 😊
I watched this and figured out that me and my best friend are all of these. Even today, we are the best of friends and always see each other when we can. I moved away about a year and a half ago and constantly go and visit my hometown. She never forgot me and always accepts who I am and is not afraid to say what she says. I love her so much and she has made the biggest difference in my life. I hope that everyone finds a friend as good as she is.

I have good friends, but some moments shared with people I don’t know have a much stronger impact on me. For example, I was in science class once and my friend was off. We were doing an experiment with the people next to us so I joined a three with two other students who I barely knew at the time, and yet they treated me the same way they treated each other. They made me feel welcomed and valued in a way my best friends never could. They dont interact with me as much as that one lesson, but that memory will always stay in my head, because if us three make a better attempt to be friends we might end up closer than the people I label my best friends now.
Exactly why I watch because it’s not a human normally speaking, it’s a person speaking in the calmest manner possible and it’s also not a skit. It’s an animation which is better than what I’ve seen in a while.

Im crying. My friend and I check every one of these signs. We've known each other for over a decade. She drove an hour once to spend a day with me during a really hard time in my life. Whenever we hangout we have sore throats afterwards because we've laughed so much. We both cry at the mere though of not having each other. Recently I learned my best friend has some views that I don’t agree with generally, but I worked through my thoughts on his views and I’ve come to a conclusion that someone’s views don’t change a friendship by any stretch. There was something like that with my best friend a year ago. We barely talked for a year, she was going out with friends she knew for 1/2 months. But I reconnected with her and now our friendship is even stronger. Sometimes you have to let the person for a period of time, maybe some months. Than try to connect with them again and be active. If it doesn’t feel like before, maybe it wasn’t meant to be and you have to let them go so you can find the right people.

Watching this, I thought of my friend who I've known since childhood. I can tell her anything and she listens without judgment. She even gives opinions and suggestions without hurting my feelings. Recently, I told her about another childhood "friend" (I use air quotes cuz based on this video, that person isn't a real friend) who hurt me by saying something awful. We were walking around our neighbourhood when I told her this and when we were near a bakery, she's like "lets go inside!" and I've NEVER told her that I tend to eat sweets when I'm upset. The thing was, I didn't have money (cuz we were only going for a walk around the neighbourhood), so she said we'd come back another time so I could get something. But she still bought two croissants and then told me that I should get the free sample that the bakery had cuz I couldn't get anything. She knew exactly how to make me feel a little better even without me telling her and even went around the issue when I didn't have money. It was amazing and I love her ❤
My best friend was standing on my shoulder the whole time I watched this, she’s my pet budgie. I realized she is truly a real, good friend, whenever I’m sad she’s here to nibble my hair and cheer me up, she understands me and has been with me ever since she was a baby, she’s always making me laugh with her antics, falling into my cups of green tea or climbing up a phone wire. My best friend Julia and I have been friends since we were born (our mothers are best friends and went to school together) and I'm so lucky to have her she's is the best friend I could've asked for and even though we never went to the same school we were always close. I'm only 11 days older than her (we are both 18 now) and at this point she isn't even my friend anymore ... she is my sister. We couldn't be more different in some ways but we learned to appreaciate that. She is the truest friend imaginable and I'm so thankful to know her.

The fact that I always devote to every friendship, but it falls apart. I always encourage and I'm there for everyone during their hard time, may not be the best in advices and a shoulder to cry on, but I'm there to listen and look out for you. I have a friend, and they are that golden friend that everyone wishes for. He actually respects my ptsd, along with my extreme anger issues, always stands up for me, and he is honestly the only person i can actually speak my feelings to. Like honestly, he feels like a therapist sometimes. And while we do have arguments every so often, we always end up making it up in the end. And honestly, he is nicer then my goddamn parents. He also genuinely respects me and doesnt push me to do things i dont want to. I’m always just so anxious that one day, if he decides he doesnt want to be friends anymore, my life would be basically ruined. Update over a year later: We don’t talk as much anymore but we do still talk quite a bit. I’ve expanded and now I have a group of 1-2 other people who we play with. While we do live in very different timezones (he moved a 2nd time), we still have the chance to talk for a few hours every so often. I don’t have much else to say, but yes we are still very good friends.

Thank you for posting this. I really needed it. Right now I'm dealing with something with my best friend at school. Earlier last week, I couldn't taste. And I decided to let my friend know just incase she started showing symptoms of covid-19. Unfortunately, I thought that I could trust her to not tell anyone. Well, I was wrong. Since she's diabetic she has to check her blood sugar, so when it was almost the end of the day, I was in my 9th hour class, Math, and my teacher gets a call from the nurse. She told my teacher that I needed to go down to her office. I started to panic a little bit because I didn't know why I got called down. The nurse explained to me and said since I couldn't taste I would need to get tested. Now if I got tested without my parents permission, there would be a problem between the school and my parents. Now the nurse called my mom and asked if it was okay if I got tested. She said yes, and I got tested. Unfortunately, it came up with a slight red line. The nurse said that it was just the beginning of covid, and I would have to quarantine till the symptoms went away. Now that I have been home for 2 weeks now, I'm starting not to trust my best friend, because this is the 3rd time she's snitched on me. I just wish that she would have kept her mouth shut. She's been ignoring me for 2 weeks now. I go back to school on Monday, I'm afraid to go back because I'm afraid it'll happen again.

I just watched this video and nearly started crying. It instantly made me think about two special people in my life. The different paths we took in life separated us and we barely communicate, but every time we do, it's as if we'd never been apart.
If one of us notices the other one is feeling sad or anything like that, we leave everything else aside and care for one another, no matter how far we are apart.

This was me up until about 2 years ago. I tried so hard and did every thing I could to be a good friend but every time, I would find out sooner or later that they were toxic and the "friendship would quickly end.
But then I met my best friend (and because of meeting that friend, I was able to be reunited with my lifelong best friend that I've known since I was a baby!)
You'll find true friends one day, trust me. It may take a little while, or it may take no time at all. But once you do, life is so much better! Just keep on doing what you do are doing and you'll find some true friends soon enough! 😊

I watched this and figured out that me and my best friend are all of these. Even today, we are the best of friends and always see each other when we can. I moved away about a year and a half ago and constantly go and visit my hometown. She never forgot me and always accepts who I am and is not afraid to say what she says. I love her so much and she has made the biggest difference in my life. I hope that everyone finds a friend as good as she is.

I can relate...
I have good friends, but some moments shared with people I don’t know have a much stronger impact on me. For example, I was in science class once and my friend was off. We were doing an experiment with the people next to us so I joined a three with two other students who I barely knew at the time, and yet they treated me the same way they treated each other. They made me feel welcomed and valued in a way my best friends never could. They dont interact with me as much as that one lesson, but that memory will always stay in my head, because if us three make a better attempt to be friends we might end up closer than the people I label my best friends now.

There was something like that with my best friend a year ago. We barely talked for a year, she was going out with friends she knew for 1/2 months. But I reconnected with her and now our friendship is even stronger. Sometimes you have to let the person for a period of time, maybe some months. Than try to connect with them again and be active. Watching this, I thought of my friend who I've known since childhood. I can tell her anything and she listens without judgment. She even gives opinions and suggestions without hurting my feelings. Recently, I told her about another childhood "friend" (I use air quotes cuz based on this video, that person isn't a real friend) who hurt me by saying something awful. We were walking around our neighbourhood when I told her this and when we were near a bakery, she's like "lets go inside!" and I've NEVER told her that I tend to eat sweets when I'm upset. The thing was, I didn't have money (cuz we were only going for a walk around the neighbourhood), so she said we'd come back another time so I could get something. But she still bought two croissants and then told me that I should get the free sample that the bakery had cuz I couldn't get anything. She knew exactly how to make me feel a little better even without me telling her and even went around the issue when I didn't have money. It was amazing and I love her ❤
My best friend was standing on my shoulder the whole time I watched this, she’s my pet budgie. I realized she is truly a real, good friend, whenever I’m sad she’s here to nibble my hair and cheer me up, she understands me and has been with me ever since she was a baby, she’s always making me laugh with her antics, falling into my cups of green tea or climbing up a phone wire. I never had a true friend once in my life
My best friend Julia and I have been friends since we were born (our mothers are best friends and went to school together) and I'm so lucky to have her she's is the best friend I could've asked for and even though we never went to the same school we were always close. I'm only 11 days older than her (we are both 18 now) and at this point she isn't even my friend anymore ... she is my sister. We couldn't be more different in some ways but we learned to appreaciate that.
She is the truest friend imaginable and I'm so thankful to know her.

I always encourage and I'm there for everyone during their hard time, may not be the best in advices and a shoulder to cry on, but I'm there to listen and look out for you. But I've never got that back, it's like I'm always being ranted on, and never been the one consoled...they rarely talk to me nowadays and ignore when I text them, but whenever they need something, they'd text me back, and me being the soft person I am, i can't ignore them..
I have a friend, and they are that golden friend that everyone wishes for. He actually respects my ptsd, along with my extreme anger issues, always stands up for me, and he is honestly the only person i can actually speak my feelings to. Like honestly, he feels like a therapist sometimes. And while we do have arguments every so often, we always end up making it up in the end. And honestly, he is nicer then my goddamn parents. He also genuinely respects me and doesnt push me to do things i dont want to. I’m always just so anxious that one day, if he decides he doesnt want to be friends anymore, my life would be basically ruined.
Update over a year later:
We don’t talk as much anymore but we do still talk quite a bit. I’ve expanded and now I have a group of 1-2 other people who we play with. While we do live in very different timezones (he moved a 2nd time), we still have the chance to talk for a few hours every so often. I don’t have much else to say, but yes we are still very good friends.

I found my real and true friends at my worst. We will lose some, but during your darkest times, the people who really care about you will support, help, and be with you no matter what. I am thankful that I already found them. They may be busy, but true and real friends will be there for you through good and bad times.

Thank you for posting this. I really needed it. Right now I'm dealing with something with my best friend at school. Earlier last week, I couldn't taste. And I decided to let my friend know just incase she started showing symptoms of covid-19. Unfortunately, I thought that I could trust her to not tell anyone. Well, I was wrong. Since she's diabetic she has to check her blood sugar, so when it was almost the end of the day, I was in my 9th hour class, Math, and my teacher gets a call from the nurse. She told my teacher that I needed to go down to her office. I started to panic a little bit because I didn't know why I got called down. The nurse explained to me and said since I couldn't taste I would need to get tested. Now if I got tested without my parents permission, there would be a problem between the school and my parents. Now the nurse called my mom and asked if it was okay if I got tested. She said yes, and I got tested. Unfortunately, it came up with a slight red line. The nurse said that it was just the beginning of covid, and I would have to quarantine till the symptoms went away. Now that I have been home for 2 weeks now, I'm starting not to trust my best friend, because this is the 3rd time she's snitched on me. I just wish that she would have kept her mouth shut. She's been ignoring me for 2 weeks now. I go back to school on Monday, I'm afraid to go back because I'm afraid it'll happen again.
