Conclusion: nobody has real friends.
After years of being shy, rejected, judged by my fake friends, and feeling alone; I have finally found a real friend. I feel so lucky to have met her, she brings out the best in me and I am always happy when we are together. Thank you for being an amazing friend Lorelai! 💛

Well my friends don't laugh with me mostly they laugh at me. They just focus on themselves and ignore me. They lie all the time. They're always "too busy" to hang out. They always talk about boys even though they know i'm a lesbian and they make fun of my pride. They never listen to me. They think if i don't like something they say or do i'm being a bad friend. Well... seems like i have found fake friends🙂

i remember this one time, i was crying in music class, my closest friends asked me how i was and i said i was fine, but they knew something was wrong, so he stood there and encouraged me to cheer up! he made me smile and laugh. he is truly the best friends anyone in this universe could ask for; he has my back, he is supportive, and overall an amazing friend. he will always be in my heart, and i will always love him. ( he is the person in my pfp, and thats his goofy face 😂)

After having a horrible time with people my age,and fake friends, when I went in a new school, making friends or even talking to people was not what I wanted to do. But after a while, I eventually made one friend of a girl who wouldn’t stop trying to talk to me. After many years, we’re still friends and has helped me make more, so I’m really thankful that my friend didn’t give up on an angsty, scared young girl

This was me up until about 2 years ago. I tried so hard and did every thing I could to be a good friend but every time, I would find out sooner or later that they were toxic and the "friendship would quickly end.
But then I met my best friend (and because of meeting that friend, I was able to be reunited with my lifelong best friend that I've known since I was a baby!)
You'll find true friends one day, trust me. It may take a little while, or it may take no time at all. But once you do, life is so much better! Just keep on doing what you do are doing and you'll find some true friends soon enough! 😊

Remember that if your bestfriend doesn't do some of these doesn't mean they aren't a true friend, for example, me and my bestfriend don't encourage nor make much time for eachother, but we still care about eachother. Just remember, a real true friend will support you no matter what you're going through, maybe not in the best way, but they will make the effort to. Also remeber bestfriends will accept you even if they have second thoughts.

I just watched this video and nearly started crying. It instantly made me think about two special people in my life. The different paths we took in life separated us and we barely communicate, but every time we do, it's as if we'd never been apart.
If one of us notices the other one is feeling sad or anything like that, we leave everything else aside and care for one another, no matter how far we are apart.
I'm grateful for having two amazing friends like them.

My best friend graduated a month ago, and given that he’s a year ahead, I won’t see him in person for awhile.
Good thing we’ve made plans to meet up when we’ve both stabilized our lives!
I always struggled with this idea. In order to feel that void of loneliness, I tried to fill it with so many people. But it only exacerbated the feeling.
In reality, the principle of "less, but more" rings more true here than not.

I watched this and figured out that me and my best friend are all of these. Even today, we are the best of friends and always see each other when we can. I moved away about a year and a half ago and constantly go and visit my hometown. She never forgot me and always accepts who I am and is not afraid to say what she says. I love her so much and she has made the biggest difference in my life. I hope that everyone finds a friend as good as she is.
Im crying. My friend and I check every one of these signs. We've known each other for over a decade. She drove an hour once to spend a day with me during a really hard time in my life. Whenever we hangout we have sore throats afterwards because we've laughed so much. We both cry at the mere though of not having each other. I really hope everyone can find a best friend like her in their lifetime. Being able to share the hardest things with each other and being able to laugh at the tiniest and silliest things. Best friends are such a blessing.

I have good friends, but some moments shared with people I don’t know have a much stronger impact on me. For example, I was in science class once and my friend was off. We were doing an experiment with the people next to us so I joined a three with two other students who I barely knew at the time, and yet they treated me the same way they treated each other. They made me feel welcomed and valued in a way my best friends never could. They dont interact with me as much as that one lesson, but that memory will always stay in my head, because if us three make a better attempt to be friends we might end up closer than the people I label my best friends now.
Commenting this after a heart to heart with my friend. I didnt have a lot of people I could trust, and wasn’t able to kerp cobtact on top of that. As such, I developed severe abandonment issues. Thankfully, after telling my friend this, she affirmed that she's here to stay in my life, and I couldn't be happier. Thank you, Maria😌❤

Watching this, I thought of my friend who I've known since childhood. I can tell her anything and she listens without judgment. She even gives opinions and suggestions without hurting my feelings. Recently, I told her about another childhood "friend" (I use air quotes cuz based on this video, that person isn't a real friend) who hurt me by saying something awful. We were walking around our neighbourhood when I told her this and when we were near a bakery, she's like "lets go inside!" and I've NEVER told her that I tend to eat sweets when I'm upset. The thing was, I didn't have money (cuz we were only going for a walk around the neighbourhood), so she said we'd come back another time so I could get something. But she still bought two croissants and then told me that I should get the free sample that the bakery had cuz I couldn't get anything. She knew exactly how to make me feel a little better even without me telling her and even went around the issue when I didn't have money. It was amazing and I love her ❤
I love these videos! Now in college I have an amazing group of friends!!!! I have held on to people from over the years and I have always had a lot of friends but the reality is I have cut a lot of people off!!! The thing is I had friendships over the years that were a complete waste of my time and situations where it was so not a friendship I was being bullied!!! But I just couldn’t admit it to myself!!! You know it when you have found real people and the people that are meant to be in your life will be in your life and nothing will stop them from being in your life!!! There are times I’m with my friends and I just smile and feel like crying tears of joy because I think back to all those times I was disrespected and couldn’t be my true goofy loud and extroverted self. Or people wouldn’t appreciate it my friends all appreciate it and embrace it and I can have fun with them!!! You don’t want to waste your time with people who don’t see your worth and don’t love you for who you are and start drama!!!!

Thank you for posting this. I really needed it. Right now I'm dealing with something with my best friend at school. Earlier last week, I couldn't taste. And I decided to let my friend know just incase she started showing symptoms of covid-19. Unfortunately, I thought that I could trust her to not tell anyone. Well, I was wrong. Since she's diabetic she has to check her blood sugar, so when it was almost the end of the day, I was in my 9th hour class, Math, and my teacher gets a call from the nurse. She told my teacher that I needed to go down to her office. I started to panic a little bit because I didn't know why I got called down. The nurse explained to me and said since I couldn't taste I would need to get tested. Now if I got tested without my parents permission, there would be a problem between the school and my parents. Now the nurse called my mom and asked if it was okay if I got tested. She said yes, and I got tested. Unfortunately, it came up with a slight red line. The nurse said that it was just the beginning of covid, and I would have to quarantine till the symptoms went away. Now that I have been home for 2 weeks now, I'm starting not to trust my best friend, because this is the 3rd time she's snitched on me. I just wish that she would have kept her mouth shut. She's been ignoring me for 2 weeks now. I go back to school on Monday, I'm afraid to go back because I'm afraid it'll happen again.
I realised today that my best friend is actually my true friend ❤️ I nearly yelled at her before, luckily I knew she was just trying to be my good friend ✨

It's very special when you sit in quiet and talk without speaking... Its amazing when you have it! Its a miracle, something nothing can replace... Especially the feeling that they understand you while you are doing it... That friendship type is something you never give up without a GOOD reason, not just from gossip.
The fact that I always devote to every friendship, but it falls apart. I always encourage and I'm there for everyone during their hard time, may not be the best in advices and a shoulder to cry on, but I'm there to listen and look out for you. But I've never got that back, it's like I'm always being ranted on, and never been the one consoled...they rarely talk to me nowadays and ignore when I text them, but whenever they need something, they'd text me back, and me being the soft person I am, i can't ignore them..
I thought about my best friend when watching this, this whole list got checked off, I’ve known my best friend since 2nd grade and he is the best thing to have ever existed in my life and I love him dearly. We live in different states which is very hard to deal with but when I come to visit it’s all worth it. We’ve had some ups and downs and even cut each other off once, but we rekindled and are now even closer. I’m so proud of him and I’m so glad I can call him my beloved best friend.

No offence to you, but maybe you are? Sorry but I am just trying to look at things from a different perspective. People grow and change, maybe the bond/quick wasn’t there anymore with your bestfriend. Maybe they are growing up while you are still stuck in still an immature mindset. It’s always good to look at yourself and maybe have a think IS IT you that might of been the problem? That is a step in becoming mature in itself. I am friends with this one person and to me they’re the best friend I’ve had in my whole life I’ve never been the happiest with someone but I remember when one day they literally said “I wish I had a best friend” that simple sentence broke me completely it felt like all the times we spent together meant nothing to them, all the times they made me happy, all the times we laughed together, all the times they told me something that bothered them was just a lie, a joke and it hurts it really hurts, I know it’s just a simple sentence that couldn’t mean much, but as someone who’s never had a genuine friend or someone to actually call their friend, it really hit me. It felt like to them my existence didn’t matter, but everyone is just the same no one will ever care for me. It just hurts soo much cause with that happening I don’t want to get close with anyone anymore. You can laugh with people and feel happy but at the end of the day can you really call them your friend? But honestly this was just me dumping this out cause I don’t have anyone to consult this with.

I found my real and true friends at my worst. We will lose some, but during your darkest times, the people who really care about you will support, help, and be with you no matter what. I am thankful that I already found them. They may be busy, but true and real friends will be there for you through good and bad times.
Its taken me abt 12-13 years before i realised ive found a true friend to me, i thought my previous "best friends" were the best ppl in the world. However, once we all had moved up a school, I met someone that pretty much allowed me to be myself, through the good and bad times. Whenever almost the rest of my group just neglects me in my time of need, this true friend tries their best to cheer me up; And it's a good thing that I can count on such a good friend, especially since at that point, nobody else rlly accepted me for who I was. Im glad to have them as a friend :)
The sad thing is, all of these traits define me, but not my "friends".

Throughout my life I've had my fair share of toxic friends who just end up leaving me with nothing and nobody, all alone. I thought I had found the friends who would stay with me for the rest of my life but for the past month and even more this past week they have started ignoring me and my closest friend, just talking with each other, I'm lucky we were four and that I wasn't left all alone. They are slowly starting to act like they don't card about me at all, but they say that they care but then just leave me sitting there all alone. Me and the other girl they started to ignore are really good friends and I really think she is the one true friend I have and I am just so happy I have her as she is just amazing in every way.
I'm not ashamed to cry in front of her, she's always there to make me smile💜

Recently I learned my best friend has some views that I don’t agree with generally, but I worked through my thoughts on his views and I’ve come to a conclusion that someone’s views don’t change a friendship by any stretch. We see each other as brother and we always call each other brother/bro. I’m so grateful he’s part of my life regardless of beliefs and/or views.

I was a true friend, I cared for my friends, I would make jokes to cheer them up. I would always be there for them, and I didn't judge them for what things they liked. I was a pretty nice friend.... but then in Middle School... I lost my friend. I still don't really know why. They still were in the same classes, and they still were in the same school. It's just all the sudden they weren't hanging out with me anymore, and when I would talk, they would tell me, "Shut up". Even if I was barely talking. I still miss being their friend... 😔

There was something like that with my best friend a year ago. We barely talked for a year, she was going out with friends she knew for 1/2 months. But I reconnected with her and now our friendship is even stronger. Sometimes you have to let the person for a period of time, maybe some months. Than try to connect with them again and be active. If it doesn’t feel like before, maybe it wasn’t meant to be and you have to let them go so you can find the right people.

I have met my true best friend about 2 years ago, she always stayed with me, she stayed with me at my worst and helped me trough everything, she litterally gave me the motivation to stay alive, she shows all of theese sighs and I'm beyond glad to have been this lucky to have met her, she accepts me for who I am, I am not be the best person but I'm. Seeing these comments gives me a hope that I will find a true friend someday and to those Im happy that you find your true bestie! I had almost 6 years known 2 bestfriends in middle school and one them I have a closer frienship but things went the other way (she betrayed me)... but I know its for the good even it did hurt. I also found some of my friends used me and stuff but I do have some good friends from middle school. I rarely talk with my other bestfriend now as we went to different highschools. Im doing better, I learned things and Im grateful for the memories I had despite :)

A few months ago, after 5 years, I finally found a real friend. To be honest, they’re just being a decent person, but i’m not completely sure what a good friend is since all my friendships have been toxic, so they seem perfect to me. I really hope our friendship doesn’t end up being toxic too.

I've had a "best friend" for over 4-5 years and then my other 'friend' came along and took her away from me so it was yesterday when they both texted me saying they don't want to be my friend because i have other friends and have problems in my social/family life. Turns out being their friend weighs my down and i couldn't thrive while i was with them.
Moral of the story is to make new friends but also make sure they have the qualities u want in a friend!

Thing to remember with friends:
-Quality over quantity. It doesn’t matter how many friends you have, what matters is if they’re true to you.
-Time & Relationship means nothing. It doesn’t matter at all if they’ve been your friend for long, it matters if they’re real or not.
-Stand up for yourself. If they feel toxic to be around, they’re most likely not deserving of you, and they’re probably the ones you should leave. Toxicity meaning like calling you names, telling you jokes about serious topics which aren’t funny, and pulling down your self esteem in general. Most of the time you notice this by listening to them calling you a party pooper and all that stuff and they force you to do stuff you don’t want to do.

My best friend Julia and I have been friends since we were born (our mothers are best friends and went to school together) and I'm so lucky to have her she's is the best friend I could've asked for and even though we never went to the same school we were always close. I'm only 11 days older than her (we are both 18 now) and at this point she isn't even my friend anymore ... she is my sister. We couldn't be more different in some ways but we learned to appreaciate that.
She is the truest friend imaginable and I'm so thankful to know her.

She body shamed me, she insulted me, she hit me, she ridiculized me, and also she was so popular, so everyone thought she was doing awesome. Idk why I said this in past when it's literally happening right now.
