      I was really intersted in gloves, i hate when my hands freeze. Question...Do you fit the GH5 and the Canon with all lenses in the bag? or are you always vlogging so you don't put the GH5 in the bag?

    Honestly, this time around, considering your destination and the cold, wet weather, I thought the "software" was more interesting than the "hardware" tech. :-) Thanks again for an interesting video.

    Trying to get camera gear into carry-on is always a challenge! This is especially true when packing for a dive trip and trying to get cameras, lenses & the housings into a carry-on (but I found a way to do it). Have fun in Iceland with BvS & remind him I want a filter kit!

      Hey Greg - I’ve been following you on your TH-cam channel since around May or June last year. You’re videos are great! With you and Nellie, Brendan and Jodie, all the channels crossing over the way they do, it’s a bit like watching characters in a reality tv show! All of you have inspired me to reinvigorate my personal photographic efforts for this year. First step has been to start my Instagram account. Who knows, maybe TH-cam in the future...? Looking forward to some great images and videos from Iceland! Keep up the fabulous work!

    I just can't wrap my head around how you can manage to live out of these small bags. I really need to up my game when it comes to packing for trips.
    The Software-Side is really interesting 'cause we hear all about hardware in every other channel. It would be wise for outdoor/travel/nature-photographers/videographers to invest in high-quality soft gear instead of yet another lens or technical gimmick. Next week I'll hit my local outdoor store!
    Have fun in Iceland!

    I'm pleased to see that you are using the 5DmkIII. I bought mine the day it was launched. It has been the mainstay of my photography business and in addition has made a number of great short films. I love it. I have the same lenses in my kit except I have the 35-105L instead of 35-70. I find that that is a more useful lens given its wider range.

    Hey Greg, Looking forward to seeing your content from Iceland! I appreciate you doing this video. Its always good to see what gear is used by professionals especially when space is tight. It really shows what is necessary to get the job done. I have a question about your 5dmk3, I currently own the Nikon D750 with is virtually the same as the 5D and I am wanting to get a camera for video. My question is what you are going to do when your 5d mk3 packs in? Do you like having a dedicated camera for photos and one for video or do you see yourself maybe getting a camera that suits both? I am trying to decide whether to sell my D750 for a hybrid camera like the A7iii (I'm not heavily invested in Nikon glass) or keep it and buy something like the GH5. What would you recommend? Thanks!

      Me too!!! Honestly some don't even look at the backpack, they just assume it's a personal item. I'm always set up in a way that I can check the rollie case though. No neither meet the weight allowance, but when does your luggage ever get weighed at the gate?

    can you tell how well (if at all) the Lumix 7-14mm can handle the weather? I'll start and save up for an Ultra-wide-angle lens for my Lumix system but sadly they are all very expensive. The Lumix 7-14mm is the cheapest but also the only one without weather sealing.

    Quick question for you about batteries. I'm going up Kilimanjaro next week, and I know that cold batteries lose charge quicker than warm ones, but what about storing them? They won't lose charge by just being in my bag so long as I warm them up before using them, right?

    • @gregorsnell
      @gregorsnell  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dude awesome!! I summited Kili in 2012, its a beast. What route are you doing? Depends on your batteries. Sony dies quicker. Canon and Nikon last longer but you still want at least four. Best to keep them in your jacket pocket or pant pocket to keep them warm during the final days especially.
