Yes, we say one before every meal. When I'm by myself I may just keep it simple, thanking God and asking for his blessing on the food. But at dinner when my husband and I are together, he likes me to say the one that my mom taught us nine kids when we were young. "Father we thank Thee for this food, for all Thy love so great and good. Feed all the hungry ones in the world today and bless all those who with us pray. Amen"

Tip for thick batters: a cookie scoop (or ice cream scoop for bigger muffins/cupcakes) makes it easy to dispense into a muffin tin.

Good tip! ...when I make devilled eggs, I use a ziplock that I've oiled and cut a hole like a piping bag...I think, with a bigger hole, this could work for sticky muffin batter🤔😁
I was going to suggest the zip lock baggie too.
It needs to be the kind with the scraper inside (chefs call it a disher). They do work great!

Steven reminds me so much of my mom's brothers. Mom had 6 brothers and they all had that down home wit and a smile that was from ear to ear and hair line to Adam's apple. Needless to say when we got to see Mom's side of the family there was going to be some shenanigans amongst all the brothers and they always pulled everyone else into all the fun.

Keeping the paper cupcake liners in the original package will keep their shape. Also, a cookie scoop makes filling them super quick and easy.

I can't believe it's been 2 years already since Steven's dad passed. I absolutely love storytelling and this was a great one. Laughed so hard picturing it. 🤣 I make my steaks in the air fryer too & the 1st time I over cooked mine too. Cooks so quickly. Have a great week.
That story about your FIL was hysterical! I also lost my dad just a couple of years ago. One of our favorite stories about him was the time that we were having hamburgers for supper and after we finished eating mom looked in the skillet and there was still a hamburger patty in there. She was trying to figure out if she somehow made too many or if someone didn't eat a burger or what was going on. We finally figured out dad had fixed up his "burger" with his lettuce, tomato, onion, etc and forgot the hamburger patty! He ate the whole thing and didn't even notice! 🤣 We still laugh about that to this day.

Thank you for inviting us on date night, I really felt like I was sitting with y’all having a special date. We received an air frier for Christmas and haven’t used it yet, I know what I’m making! What a special date night from one of our favorite couples! I use butter on my steaks instead of olive oil. Such great flavor, whether grilled, iron skillet fried, or air fried. That dessert is so simple but my husband would love it! ❤️ Dying over the Stevens dad story. Literally laughing out loud! 🤣🤣🤣

I have a story about my Dad who recently passed away.
When my nieces were little they used to “do” Grandpa’s hair and put makeup on him. Well they did his hair one day and he later went to the grocery store and ran into an old school friend and they talked for awhile. My Dad got home and realized that he had two barrettes in the front of his hair the whole time and the school friend never said a word!! 🤣😂🤣😂. My Dad was hilarious and I miss him dearly. ❤️

Mandy, I just adore you and Steven. Y'all are too cute! I make my potatoes just like yours except I add in grated parmesan (yep that kind in the green shaker, no fancy pants here!) and a shake or two of Lawry's Seasoning Salt. And I just roast them in the oven for 40ish minutes at 400 degrees. So easy and delicious!

an easy way i found when it comes to those paper cups is old the cups in yor hand while you fill them then put them down in the muffin tin

Try putting the batter in a zip bag, cut off a corner, and squeeze into the cupcake linera, or even the greased tin.
I love your story about Steven's Dad. I have one about my hubby and my mom. We had only been dating maybe 4 months when Christmas Day came around. My mom went all out on the Christmas dinner. You name it she probably made it. Well, the day before she decided to make a veggie tray with cheese and all kinds of different veggies. She put pickled okra in the tray. The next day my hubby showed up. He went to try the cheese cubes that were in the tray. The pickled okra had pickled the cheese. My mom was so embarrassed because she wanted to make an impression on my hubby. We have been together 16 years now and we still talk about this every Christmas. Thank you for always sharing yalls humor and family with us.

Isn't it great when you remember a funny story about people who've passed. We all sat down one christmas for dinner (about 20 of us). My mum who was quite elderly at the time passed wind loudly and I just said MUMMMM, you know the way you do and she took me to task saying if I hadn't said anything nobody would have noticed 😂😂😂. It was that loud everyone heard it, we still laugh about it to this day. Great looking steaks Mandy, thank you for sharing xx

If you use a cookie dough scoop, you will find it very easy and non messy filling your cupcake paper liners.

Using a small scoop for the cake batter is so much easier. Also, if you spray the muffin cavities and press the liners down, they will stay in place.

Just wanted to share an easy tip . . . when making cupcakes, use a medium scoop. It makes the perfect size cupcake. Using the scoop is less messy when your cupcake liners are out of shape
Always spray your muffin tin and the paper liners and use a cookie scoop. Your paper liners will stay in place your muffins will not stick to the paper and with a scoop they were all the same size.
Three words! Ice cream scoop! If you use the style of ice cream scoop that has the spring action lever to empty it, it makes filling muffin pans a breeze! Even if you have the small cookie scoop style you can put two scoops into one regular-size muffin cup.
An easy way to fill muffin or cupcake liners is with an ice cream scoop. Perfect portion every time.

My sweet Daddy passed right before Stevens. One year we were at Myrtle Beach. I can’t remember the name of the steak house. I think it had an alligator on it. Anywho, Daddy believes in eating everything he got. No waste. He ordered teriyaki steak. He finished everything and started licking his plate 😂 the waitress came by and he said he wasn’t finished. She said oh yeah your done 😂😂😂. Bless him. Nothing like Daddy’s. They served my nieces kids meal on a frisbee. That’s gonna make me crazy. Thank you all for being our friends that we can count on a laugh and a good time every week. It means so much. I’m excited to try the air fryer steak! Thanks for doing that one!
