I'm surprised you or no one in the comments have mentioned avoiding *static electricity* while building, which can damage components if you don't take precautions against it. Look into it, get a anti-static wrist band if possible; also, don't wear socks or stand on carpet while building and make sure the surface you're building on is safe (wood, for instance). Don't listen to people on forums that say stupid things like "if you didn't feel a shock, your components are fine". This isn't true at all; in fact, if one of your parts were to get destroyed in the process of building, you probably wouldn't feel anything. It's possible these people that write these responses on threads live in areas where it's very humid or they're lying or they simply don't know what they're talking about.

What are the dimensions for a "small case" vs a "good and big case future ready"? I was looking into the Corsair 200 R ATX case for ~$40 and a 550w bronze 80+ Psu for a i5 4690k and GTX 970. Will want to OC both cpu and gpu (SLI not gonna happen in say 8 months). Other than that ssd+ 1tb hdd, 8gb DDR3 1866 mhz ram, gigabyte Z97 SLI ATX motherBo. First time builder so I want to be vary sure before I buy anything. Please be welcomed to advise and suggest me I will appreciate it. PS: gtx 970 are out of stock and going out faaasst. pcpartpicker.com/p/VgfpvK That is what i'm interested in building, any tips? I'm on a tight budget and i don't need to like max all games so any cheaper alternatives for parts are appreciated. I would get that same graphics card from my friend for 50 bucks because he upgraded to an Nvidia gtx 960 or 970, not sure which.
Im really new to this so this is what i got. Im trying to at least get gta v on my pc in normal settings. I got the hp pavilion p7-1414 pc. A8-5500 6gb ram 1tb hard drive AMD Radeon HD 7560 D
ivobeek Well that's not really what you said, i quote you "the latest games like GTA 5 need 8gb ram" i do agree that the future games need more VRAM, but as of now 4 - 3.5 should be enough.
a 750W PSU can run a GTX titan Black. 800W is to much, just like what Jayztwocents said that GPU manufacturers are trying to minimize the amount of power that the GPU needs and it is because it can lessen heat in idle and load. I would say 750w is the recommended PSU in your *dont cut any corners portion. 750w is a future proof although 800w is surely a future proof.
I'm looking at buying an Ironside minion soon, what are your thoughts on that? I'm looking to be playing Minecraft, League of Legends, browsing TH-cam on it, and maybe some FPS like Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon. I'm gonna have 8gb of ram, F2 Chipset Motherboard, Intel Core I-5, I'm pretty sure it's a 500 or 600 watt power supply, standard Heatsink Cooling, and a 1TB Hard drive 7200RPM. I'm also probably going to upgrade to 12gb or 16gb of memory (it hold up to 16). The whole rig is gonna cost me about 700 dollars give or take. Do you have any suggestions on things I may need to upgrade before hand because I want to get a good PC but I'm really edgy and I can't find much benchmarks on it.

No this will only do good to your components, nothing will be harmed with more wattage on the PSU. The more wattage the better, leaves room for further upgrades in the future.

Well you'd only at most get about 80fps most on battlefield probs average 60 ish but GTA 5 no mods you'd get a decent 100fps probably lower but don't install to many mods coz they could lag you out so hard. But seems decent except I'd get Intel core i7 6600k if possible.
is it hard? do you think it is worth it for me, I am really scared that if I buy all the parts I could stuff up the build. An answer would be appreciated greatly ( I am only 13 and I have to use a Mac which I bought windows 7 on, but now it is getting old)
were talking 60 fps i am assuming well then that is going to be awesome i was litteraly a console gamer before this and right now i am feeling very accomplished
does graphics of any games depends upon monitor's resolution should buy my graphics card accordingly i ve a myth that is more gigs of cpu & gpu = better performance does it holds true

Man i've got a lot of things to learn about switching to gaming pc.
Thanks for welcoming me to your video.
Definitely good tips. You always have to think about what might be in the future.
My first PC, running as of 19/Jan/2014:
MSI Z97i Gaming AC Mini Itx
Intel i5 4690k
Kingston HyperX Fury 16gb (2x8gb) 1866mhz
Cooler Master Seidon 120V CPU Water Cooler
Gigabyte GTX 970 Mini
Samsung Evo 840 250Gb
SilverStone Strider Bronze 500w Full modular PSU
SilverStone PP05 Short PC Cable set for Modular PSU

Its incredibly small, awesomely tidy and quite spacious (thanks to Smallest MODULAR PSU from Silverstone with dimensions 140x150x86 and Short cable set that reduces extra and unneeded cable length inside case), runs real quite and actually beast of a machine!
Love it!
P.S: I'll be getting 2TB SSHD next week, run out of money for now. And running on 17" Dell Monitor from like 2007 due to financial obstacles, lol))))

Dude you wont be able to with that :/ save up for another few months
A minimum for GTX 680 SLI is 750W, why dont spend an extra £/$20-40 on a 750w, then you are ready for anything.
thx this will help for my first build

Will I be good with a gtx 760?
Thanks :)

does this seem fine? am i missing anything?please tell me your honest opinions
(estamated price is around 900 u.s dollars).
ghetto logic what is your price limit
jacob spanjers about 1000$
this should be capable of maxing most games idk what you could upgade with 100 more
pcpartpicker.com/p/VgfpvK That is what i'm interested in building, any tips? I'm on a tight budget and i don't need to like max all games so any cheaper alternatives for parts are appreciated. I would get that same graphics card from my friend for 50 bucks because he upgraded to an Nvidia gtx 960 or 970, not sure which.
Im really new to this so this is what i got. Im trying to at least get gta v on my pc in normal settings. I got the hp pavilion p7-1414 pc.
A8-5500
6gb ram
1tb hard drive
AMD Radeon HD 7560 D
Im really new to gaming on pc but i know that the latest games like GTA 5 need 8gb ram
n00b alert m80s stand back
+ivobeek They defiantly DO NOT. 4 - 3.5 is far enough for the modern games today.
+niels nielsen for the games today yeah but in like 2 years it wil definitly be like 12 or maybe even 16. Thats what i would do.
ivobeek Well that's not really what you said, i quote you "the latest games like GTA 5 need 8gb ram" i do agree that the future games need more VRAM, but as of now 4 - 3.5 should be enough.
Great vid, thanks.
built my first pc thats worth 2 g's, was nervous as all hell building it for 6 hours
When haswell processors come out could you do a best bang for your buck pc build around £1200
How much would I need to spend on cpu and gpu to play shooters
Should be fine most go over the top with power supply wattage 600w will power most even some double card setups .
I have gt730 4gb d3 and want 2 buy amd kaveri.
Are they bot compatible with each other? ?
Haf 912 case. Fx 6300. Asrock 970 extreme 3. Radeon 7870. 8gb ram. Corsair 500w. Sound good ?
a 750W PSU can run a GTX titan Black.
Thanks, had to sub
A graphics card?
Myles Rowlands Nvidia GTX 550 1gb
If you going into fps games get a 750ti.
Thats good maybe upgrade the graphics card and 12gb or ram is more than enough especially if you arent going to edit or upload.
What keyboard is that your using?
800w in a Budget Build, 430w is plenty for many budget builds
Does anyone know why Pre-built gaming pc makers build such low psu's in their machines?
Cheaper?
what do you think of the build i want to do for my first build amd fx8350 black , asus m5a97 r2.0 , asus radeon r9270x dc2t 2gb ,in a haf 912 advanced ,kingstone hyper x 8gb 4gbx2 ,wd black 1tb,cooler master storm devastator combo keyboard and mouse, lite on ihas124-14 dvd burner , logitech g430 7.1 headphones, psu cooler master g650m,asus vs247hr23.6 ,its going to work out about 1000 euros .
gonna build a itx build :P first time also :p
Are you taking your gaming pc to uni?
Can you use Microsoft Word with a gaming pc
Ofcourse! It's still a Computer, it's not a console.....
You just need to buy Microsoft office first and install. DONE
Thanks
if you're not trolling then yes you can do anything on a gaming PC that you can on a normal PC
I have never built a PC, I opened up the one I have now just to see what it looked it like and I was like WHAT THE HELL IS THIS
Nice Bro
Will a 750w PSU be good enough for a MSI GTX 970 SLI?
980Ti is better
+Chris Stansfield One 980 Ti is enough
i was wondering if i should update the bios or just leave it as it is

ShinyPeachCraft ? what do you mean what should you get first?
The specs like case mb gc and stuff
ShinyPeachCraft There is no point in buying the pieces one at a time, you need all the components for the pc to run..
Well what's your budget?
I have 1200$ available for a gaming setup (PC+monitor) and thats not even really enough here in Canada because everything is so damn expensive vs USA websites!
Ikr!!! I'm Canadian too and there was a $1000 American gaming of build that ended up costing me $1400 with Canadian costs and tax/shipping... That's not including the OS either :(

habs4life41 I used pcpartpicker as do most... It's a great website for setting up a build.
This was the build I used... There is almost a $200 difference between american and canadian pricing :( ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/HPttTW

Hey guys im building my first pc should i go with a gtx 780 to 780ti?

+Neil Mc Cann I'm still saving up lol xD
Me too but for my second time building a pc
Google extreme power supply calc you may be surprised by the results
Not sure if this is a good build or not i was on a budget so any comments, complaints or guidance is most appreciated. Here is what i had on offer-

Memory- 16GB High Performance DDR3 1600MHz (2x8GB)
Graphics Card- NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX 970 4GB GDDR5

Nice that's a really good build but the only thing I would recommend is a 750 or 850 PSU so you have extra room for overclocking and upgrades :)
Connor Craigen Thank you for the feedback buddy i will make sure to incorporate that into my build cheers :)
Hey
Would you review Metro last light?
Can u help me please. What kind of computer do I need to get.And hard drive.
+Lashawn Hampton what do you mean
I need help on getting the right 🎮 monitor.I love LG is they the right computer to play games on.I'm looking at 34".
would a 700w psu cover a radeon 7850 and a amd fx 6300???? not oc
Is the NZT PHANTOM 410 a good case? I'm space conscious.
might want to sli
750w will be more than enough for SLI/Crossfire
Say one more time: Please, please, please, pleaaaaseee...
800 watt is too much for 1 graphics card... SSD are not needed, get rather a caviar black if you're on a budget
If tou are not going to have 2 or more gpu's than dont buy over 500w you ask why? Its not just about money, it will bring up more heat and nothing else
Why should I not get SLI ready MOBO's
can somebody please list me the parts i should choose with a budget of £650/$800, one that games at 1080p on high/ultra settings for majority of games and that loads very fast
800w is overkill 600w is plenty!
I'm a PC noob trying to save up for a monster PC I got 1200 so far

I'm inexperienced in this field. Can someone tell me if buying an 800W PSU when I only need is 450-550 will this damage my components?
No this will only do good to your components, nothing will be harmed with more wattage on the PSU. The more wattage the better, leaves room for further upgrades in the future.
where tf do I get all the parts and how tf do I know how to put it together.
pcpartpicker.com is a good place to
Yeah PCPartPicker.com is good and just watch fuck-tons of tutorials on building pc's and what components fit what and bullcock like that
Fuck!

Is this a good rig for gta 5 with mods and games like cod waw, battlefield 4 and triple a games coming up?
Well you'd only at most get about 80fps most on battlefield probs average 60 ish but GTA 5 no mods you'd get a decent 100fps probably lower but don't install to many mods coz they could lag you out so hard. But seems decent except I'd get Intel core i7 6600k if possible.
Do you have skype?
took me like 6 hours for my first PC
is it hard? do you think it is worth it for me, I am really scared that if I buy all the parts I could stuff up the build. An answer would be appreciated greatly ( I am only 13 and I have to use a Mac which I bought windows 7 on, but now it is getting old)
Harry Pirrit sounds like me. lol
I'm getting a CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Ultra GUA2000W Desktop PC b I'm wondering will this be able to play DayZ, Battlefield on Medium/High settings ?

pcpartpicker.com/user/xyzqsrbo/saved/#view=FGZKHx
jacob spanjers also does the motherboard support sli because i was thinking of in a few years upgrading to another gtx 970 and use sli
yeah
ok i put the new ram on there i think i am not going to do sli anymore but thx one more question can it run games good?
were talking 60 fps i am assuming well then that is going to be awesome i was litteraly a console gamer before this and right now i am feeling very accomplished
honestly i dont care if i have to lower a few things considering i was playing on a 360 before and my tv and one of the old huge back ones xD
260 liked
does graphics of any games depends upon monitor's resolution should buy my graphics card accordingly i ve a myth that is more gigs of cpu & gpu = better performance does it holds true
