Deadshot 500 Republic at war was my favorite mod, especially on channels like XPGamers where he had 69 videos of a long running war against the Seppies.
The best SW game imo, the combat is so diverse. I’ve had it since I was 7 for PS2 and I’m still discovering new combos to this day, especially for Anakin and Cin Drallig. It’s honestly better than KOTOR. Also, Battlefront 2 2017 deserves at least 3rd. It’s quite shocking how good it is. Everything is available for free or with credits.
I wish that the cinematic trailers for the old republic were more like the game. I also want a game similar to Jedi: Fallen Order set in the old republic.

I totally get people refusing to return to BF II 2017. I thought Id never return either. But it really has improved way more than I ever expected. I was playing the original Battlefronts on original Xbox abd having a blast, but now BF II 2017 plays more like those games than it did at release when it played more like Call of Duty

ok Battlefront 2 made a mistake with the microtransations at launch, then they fixed it, but as a star wars game, i think it's very underated. The game is amazing, we get to play all star wars scenarios, play as any hero in any map of the saga, the graphics are beautiful, the gameplay is great. I don't get the hate
Knights of the Old Republic was a true masterpiece the greatest RPG ever. I spent many countless hours on the compelling storyline and character optimization
getting the old republic on my switch , with a crossplay to play with all other console . I would be done , ill just kept living on my bed with stimpack pluged all over my body and with my switch playing with my xbox friend.
Even though there has been MMO ported to consoles, those games mechanics could work for consoles, the old republic seems impossible since there are too many keybinds for a controller. Otherwise you will have to smash multiple buttons simultaneously just to perform a single move.

The lightsaber feels a lightsaber, kill enemies only by touching them, the lightsaber combats feel real, with only one right attack you can kill your enemies and be killed by them. The force Powers are much more incredible.
Renato In the clips he used alone you can see how underpowered the lightsaber is. Yeah against troopers it’s strong but as soon as you get to a boss you’re just slowly chipping down it’s health with an oversized glow stick. (Talking about fallen order not Jedi Knight btw)

Battlefront 2004 was literally the first shooter I ever had. I remember I always ran up the stairs in Rhen Car: Citadel as fast as possible to throw a grenade at Vader and knock him off the mountain so he would be trapped down there throughout the whole match.
The Old Republic MMO is one of my favourited of all time, so I do get a little hurt every time someone says its terrible. I agree, its quite underrated, far from perfect, but it’s always fun to play thru💙
I love swtor. I think a lot of people trash it because it is an mmo.although its pretty much a single player game in all but name.only things you really need other players for are pvp and operations.which are both optional.

Jedi Outcast and it's predecessor Dark Forces 2 were so great. I'd put them ahead of Jedi Academy. Also, Shadows of the Empire was lots of fun, as was Rogue Squadron.

@Gavin Blain well according to everything I can find on the ole google box clone wars is disney canon so Revan is canon. However I don't think his actual backstory was mentioned so the events of kotor aren't. Also maybe the dude who looked like revan wasn't actually revan.
I think they mean that it is titled as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, as opposed to Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. Perhaps implying that there could be further Star Wars Jedi: 'Insert Game Title' in the future as part of the franchise.
How dare you place Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga so low. Despicable. That game had the most content at launch of any of these games, and it is CERTAINLY better than Battlefront 2. LSWTCS didn’t need to pull a 180 like BF2 because it was just that great. It is one of the most accessible, faithful, and beloved games of all time

Ashton Millis you should try kotor 2 modded with tslrcm. It restores a bunch of content that was cut due to short development time. It completely outclasses kotor 1 imo
nhlwillie 1 Of the whole game? The Order 66 scene really put the whole thing in perspective with the timeline and I really felt immersed. I also really like the final structural upgrade to the lightsaber (don’t wanna spoil it)
The story for force unleashed is so underrated. Amazing gameplay, amazing story, some of the best detail inside levels, one of the most perfect games out there
The Old Republic is a game that has the MMO anchor around its neck. If there was a way of making it singleplayer only without the tropes (silly hotbar combat, stationary respawning enemies, etc.), you would have an amazing game with hours and hours of story content, great voice acting, decent writing, and even more amazing expansions (sans Shadow of Revan)
Mods and cheatcodes made jedi academy another level. Massive stargate maps, spawning in 100s of jedi, playing as any jedi or sith, using so many weapons and being able to fly so many different fighters
(SPOILER TO THE VIDEO) I agree with KoTOR being on this list, though I was a bit disappointed that KoTOR II: The Sith Lords did not have the high ground. Revan's story is arguably one of the best stories in Star Wars, better than the Exile's (nonetheless the latter was great as well). But Kreia... she is the one with the most well-written character to me. Her motives, her teachings, even the way she talks - all of that is what puts KoTOR II on top for me. And maybe it is just me, but I believe KoTOR II characters to have more personality and depth. Of course, restored content is essential. But at the end of the day, KoTOR II would not have existed, if the first KoTOR had not been created, and I consider them both very interesting. P.S. Visas Marr is bae!
If Obsidian had managed to get everything they wanted into KOTOR 2 then it easily would have been better than the original. Where the original had amazing characters and story telling, it was also fairly black and white. KOTOR 2 on the other hand, lived in shades of gray. There were times where you could do the "right" thing and still feel bad (not including that beggar scene that Kreia uses to point out that sometimes helping people can hurt them in the long term. Having Kreia around even if she wasn't physically present allowed for her to always be available with her take on important situations. And while Revan's story in the first game is what's so highly regarded, now that I think about it, it's only through Kreia (who mentored Revan for a time) that we get glimpses into the character of Revan that we all know and love. Unfortunately, Obsidian had to make cuts to the game which they did fairly cleanly, but even if you didn't know they cut things, there are times where you can feel that things were only half implemented (like the voice lock on the nav computer that's mentioned in every log on Peragus and never again, or the HK droids that can only be resolved with the Restored Content mod). Then the character writing was much more in extremes in KOTOR 2. Where all the characters in the original were very well written (except for T3M4 but he was literally a brand new droid you purchase so he has no backstory), the new characters in KOTOR 2 are either extremely well written like Kreia or much less so like Atton or G0T0 (I'm not saying Atton is a bad character, I just think that there's a lot more to his story than we ever could possibly get out of him. He is trained in Echani fighting styles and to resist Force techniques, this is explained by his story as a Jedi Hunter in the service of the Sith. Let us know more about that!). And I feel I had to distinguish between new characters and old because several characters from the first game reappear in the second. T3M4 and HK47 obviously, but even Canderous makes a reappearance as Mandalore, and all the returning characters are incredibly well done. Sorry for the rant, but at the end of the day, KOTOR 2 isn't the game it could have been, but it still deserved better than an honorable mention
@Liam Waite More time would not have improved the game, it would only have given Chris Avellone and company more time to bloat the game further because they fall victim to feature creep and over-ambition. The story was already a humongous mess that seemed to fumble on getting from point A to point B, no need to let it get even more out of control. And to be honest, the game could have benefited from not worshiping Revan every waking moment. They should have also trimmed the cast of characters and villains, because there was too much going on and not enough time to explain anything without cryptic ramblings from the enlightened centrist witch of the crew. KOTOR 2 reminds me a lot of TLJ, which is funny because TLJ took a lot of inspiration from KOTOR 2.

I recently revisited battlefront 2 on ps2 and the difference in gameplay quality definitely shows if you think its nostalgia that makes you love the playstation 2 battlefront more its not its the fact its a better game period maybe not graphically but technically it actually gave the feeling of actually experiencing the star wars universe.

I love the class stories, but a lot of stuff after and including Knights of the Fallen Empire is pretty meh. I’d have to say that my favorite is Imperial Agent, cliche, I know, but it’s just so fascinating to me. However, I will forever deny any KotOR references within Swtor. Those are a disgrace to the characters. Otherwise, it really is an interesting game.

Easily the best SW game ever made with the TSLRCM and even without that its still one of the best games every created. Its underrated and I always feel people don't understand it because its too complex and mature for them. Regardless it grates me when none of these SW TH-camrs ever mention it.
I’m suprised bounty hunter hasn’t made the list. Some of the enemies were op and there wasn’t really a free roam, or way to explore very much, but the story mode was absolutely phenomenal. You should consider playing it. I don’t know when it came out but it was in PS2
When Jedi Academy came out it basically felt like a huge expansion pack to Jedi Outcast (the game looks very similar graphics wise, most of the weapon are carried over directly, etc). But Jedi Outcast was awesome, so I couldn't really complain about a game that just gave me a new story and more options within the same framework.
Simon Z Kotor 2 is great, but LucasArts ruined it, you have to have a true appreciation for story telling-and a pc-to enjoy that game to the fullest Seriously, Kreia is to this day one of the most complex and amazing characters in video games, once again Obsidian has proven its worth
EyeAr WeeTawTed kotor 2 is my second favourite game of all time for those reasons, I personally prefer the story of kotor 2 over the first one but also the characters (especially kreia, visas, bao-dur ect.) are so much more complex and interesting! I did another play through of both games a couple months ago and in kotor 1 I would only talk to my party when the game told me to but in kotor 2 every time I walked on the ebon hawk I would have a conversation with someone.
Honestly, the in-game stories seem very stale. I don't know if I've become almost dis-associated from the game after playing it for tens of thousands of hours but for the most part I found the in-game stories to not match the level of incredible story-telling the trailers pulled off.

Fallen Order made me fall in love with Star Wars again. I lost it after The Last Jedi but this game got me right back in. I knew it did because as soon as I ingnited my lightsaber for the first time, a smile filled my face like I was a kid again. Just amazing...
Republic commando was AMAXING! I remember being stuck on a level and have never passed it till this day. Remember repeating g it and knowing every single thing like the back of my hand and still never got it and Jedi academy I just replayed on my switch and had a blast mainly due to all the memories.

Even though there has been MMO ported to consoles, those games mechanics could work for consoles, the old republic seems impossible since there are too many keybinds for a controller. Otherwise you will have to smash multiple buttons simultaneously just to perform a single move.
Biggest issue is the hero engine which sucks ass

The lightsaber feels a lightsaber, kill enemies only by touching them, the lightsaber combats feel real, with only one right attack you can kill your enemies and be killed by them. The force Powers are much more incredible.
Renato In the clips he used alone you can see how underpowered the lightsaber is. Yeah against troopers it’s strong but as soon as you get to a boss you’re just slowly chipping down it’s health with an oversized glow stick. (Talking about fallen order not Jedi Knight btw)

I remember I always ran up the stairs in Rhen Car: Citadel as fast as possible to throw a grenade at Vader and knock him off the mountain so he would be trapped down there throughout the whole match.

How dare you place Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga so low. Despicable. That game had the most content at launch of any of these games, and it is CERTAINLY better than Battlefront 2. LSWTCS didn’t need to pull a 180 like BF2 because it was just that great. It is one of the most accessible, faithful, and beloved games of all time

The Old Republic is a game that has the MMO anchor around its neck. If there was a way of making it singleplayer only without the tropes (silly hotbar combat, stationary respawning enemies, etc.), you would have an amazing game with hours and hours of story content, great voice acting, decent writing, and even more amazing expansions (sans Shadow of Revan)

Mods and cheatcodes made jedi academy another level. Massive stargate maps, spawning in 100s of jedi, playing as any jedi or sith, using so many weapons and being able to fly so many different fighters

I agree with KoTOR being on this list, though I was a bit disappointed that KoTOR II: The Sith Lords did not have the high ground. Revan's story is arguably one of the best stories in Star Wars, better than the Exile's (nonetheless the latter was great as well). But Kreia... she is the one with the most well-written character to me. Her motives, her teachings, even the way she talks - all of that is what puts KoTOR II on top for me. And maybe it is just me, but I believe KoTOR II characters to have more personality and depth. Of course, restored content is essential. But at the end of the day, KoTOR II would not have existed, if the first KoTOR had not been created, and I consider them both very interesting.

If Obsidian had managed to get everything they wanted into KOTOR 2 then it easily would have been better than the original. Where the original had amazing characters and story telling, it was also fairly black and white. KOTOR 2 on the other hand, lived in shades of gray. There were times where you could do the "right" thing and still feel bad (not including that beggar scene that Kreia uses to point out that sometimes helping people can hurt them in the long term. Having Kreia around even if she wasn't physically present allowed for her to always be available with her take on important situations. And while Revan's story in the first game is what's so highly regarded, now that I think about it, it's only through Kreia (who mentored Revan for a time) that we get glimpses into the character of Revan that we all know and love.
Unfortunately, Obsidian had to make cuts to the game which they did fairly cleanly, but even if you didn't know they cut things, there are times where you can feel that things were only half implemented (like the voice lock on the nav computer that's mentioned in every log on Peragus and never again, or the HK droids that can only be resolved with the Restored Content mod). Then the character writing was much more in extremes in KOTOR 2. Where all the characters in the original were very well written (except for T3M4 but he was literally a brand new droid you purchase so he has no backstory), the new characters in KOTOR 2 are either extremely well written like Kreia or much less so like Atton or G0T0 (I'm not saying Atton is a bad character, I just think that there's a lot more to his story than we ever could possibly get out of him. He is trained in Echani fighting styles and to resist Force techniques, this is explained by his story as a Jedi Hunter in the service of the Sith. Let us know more about that!). And I feel I had to distinguish between new characters and old because several characters from the first game reappear in the second. T3M4 and HK47 obviously, but even Canderous makes a reappearance as Mandalore, and all the returning characters are incredibly well done.
Sorry for the rant, but at the end of the day, KOTOR 2 isn't the game it could have been, but it still deserved better than an honorable mention
@Liam Waite More time would not have improved the game, it would only have given Chris Avellone and company more time to bloat the game further because they fall victim to feature creep and over-ambition. The story was already a humongous mess that seemed to fumble on getting from point A to point B, no need to let it get even more out of control. And to be honest, the game could have benefited from not worshiping Revan every waking moment. They should have also trimmed the cast of characters and villains, because there was too much going on and not enough time to explain anything without cryptic ramblings from the enlightened centrist witch of the crew. KOTOR 2 reminds me a lot of TLJ, which is funny because TLJ took a lot of inspiration from KOTOR 2.

I recently revisited battlefront 2 on ps2 and the difference in gameplay quality definitely shows if you think its nostalgia that makes you love the playstation 2 battlefront more its not its the fact its a better game period maybe not graphically but technically it actually gave the feeling of actually experiencing the star wars universe.

I love the class stories, but a lot of stuff after and including Knights of the Fallen Empire is pretty meh. I’d have to say that my favorite is Imperial Agent, cliche, I know, but it’s just so fascinating to me. However, I will forever deny any KotOR references within Swtor. Those are a disgrace to the characters. Otherwise, it really is an interesting game.

Easily the best SW game ever made with the TSLRCM and even without that its still one of the best games every created.
Its underrated and I always feel people don't understand it because its too complex and mature for them. Regardless it grates me when none of these SW TH-camrs ever mention it.

I’m suprised bounty hunter hasn’t made the list. Some of the enemies were op and there wasn’t really a free roam, or way to explore very much, but the story mode was absolutely phenomenal. You should consider playing it. I don’t know when it came out but it was in PS2

When Jedi Academy came out it basically felt like a huge expansion pack to Jedi Outcast (the game looks very similar graphics wise, most of the weapon are carried over directly, etc). But Jedi Outcast was awesome, so I couldn't really complain about a game that just gave me a new story and more options within the same framework.
And learning the lightsaber forms and getting a second lightsaber/staff saber to completely change the play style as you go through

Seriously, Kreia is to this day one of the most complex and amazing characters in video games, once again Obsidian has proven its worth
EyeAr WeeTawTed kotor 2 is my second favourite game of all time for those reasons, I personally prefer the story of kotor 2 over the first one but also the characters (especially kreia, visas, bao-dur ect.) are so much more complex and interesting! I did another play through of both games a couple months ago and in kotor 1 I would only talk to my party when the game told me to but in kotor 2 every time I walked on the ebon hawk I would have a conversation with someone.
I feel like star wars empire at war should at least be an honarable mention.

SW:ToR should be much much higher. For an mmo it has insane story. It's better written than many single player RPG's.
Honestly, the in-game stories seem very stale. I don't know if I've become almost dis-associated from the game after playing it for tens of thousands of hours but for the most part I found the in-game stories to not match the level of incredible story-telling the trailers pulled off.

Republic commando was AMAXING! I remember being stuck on a level and have never passed it till this day. Remember repeating g it and knowing every single thing like the back of my hand and still never got it and Jedi academy I just replayed on my switch and had a blast mainly due to all the memories.
