EA is the most spoiled game developer in the world. They have so many good IPs and they fuck up so many of them or just try to suck all the money out of the playerbase. They always talking about create live service in a game but just want to collect all the money and do very little of the work. It's not even hard, release the game as it is and offer cosmetics and battle passes like other games so they can get the user engagement. Nobody is dropping 4.5k so they can play the full game. BF2 had the potential of being one of those titles people would still be playing 10 years later if it was any other developer. EA games are lucky to last 2 or 3 years with 10% of the original playerbase. It's a great redemption but still a sad ending it seems. I'll probably play this until it finally dies out.

I'll never forgive EA for pulling the plug on this game, there was still so much they could have added and so many bugs they needed to fix. Hell I'm a Battlefield fanboy and I was way more hyped for future Battlefront content over the next Battlefield game. I had friends and coworkers that have never even watched a full Star Wars movie that was playing and enjoying the hell out of this game and that really goes to show how great it was becoming. Such a damn tragedy for killing it too early.

Have you heard the tragedy of Darth BF2 the wise? Its not a story E.A would tell you. A consumer legend, BF2 started out like galaxy of heroes, but grew into a legend so powerful, the only thing it had to fear was its past taking it down, which of course, it did.

Free radical has a 98% completed bf3, which if ea was smart(they're not), they would finish, remaster and release the game. You could travel between space and land seamlessly in galactic conquest
My favorite memory is playing Geonosis for the first time. I was the clones and was the first in the at te. I remember having a blast and playing it many more times. I also Denver the beta. So much hope. I have been here the entire time and to bf 2 I say: It was a pleasure, my friend.
My memories with Battlefront 2 are still being made as I’m relatively new to the game. Battlefront 3 should be B2 remastered adding loads of new content. That’s what I would do if I were in charge.
@Hayden Richards You're right. Yoda and Mace didn't teach him at all. It was all Obi Wan. Like in Empire when Obi Wan said Yoda was the jedi who taught him, what he REALLY meant was eh I saw him around sometime. Or maybe it was all just bad writing and retconing. I guess we'll never know.
And also reminders of how terrible Battlefront 2 used to be. Lack of communication, lack of content, and Broken characters. Thankfully it got far enough that most characters were brought to a balanced state.
It's BS that EA cancelled a game that had one of the best comebacks in video game history, and a huge fanbase. Nobody could have lived up to BF2's legacy. I hope they either make Battlefront 3, or make another surprise update to revive Battlefront 2. Rest In Peace, Star Wars: Battlefront II. 2017-2020.
I'd much prefer more updates, tbh. Still remember how much stuff from the first one is missing in the second that I really wish we still had... (IE: *All* those nice maps, Death Star Battle Station, Scarif Infiltration, regular Cargo, all the different blasters, etc.) If they do end up making BF3 I think it'd better have everything 2 has now *at minimum*
There is no way that cyberpunk had a worse launch that BF2 lol. It is receiving more hate because people expected it to be perfect, but on systems that can actually run the game it is receiving universally high reviews. It's just the consoles that cant run it where there is controversy. BF2 was universally hated at launch, no matter the platform.

Star Wars The Old Republic mate go check it out solid game and you just need to buy the subscription once to gain full access to everything that is offered. After that cancel and you have the whole game with so much content you will literally faint at the sight.
Best Swbf2 memory actually was quite recent i was playing luke and my homie was a heavy gunner and i would just stand there blocking shots while he stood behind me mowing people down with his Gatlin gun it was so epic
The value of CO-OP can't be understated. As a casual gamer, I gave up on BF2 as Galactic Assault lacked any sort of ranking system, so I'd just go join a game and die the whole time. CO-OP allowed me, and I think a lot of other casual players to really get into the game, and also level up their classes and heros. I only wish Starfighter CO-OP could have been a thing. It's even harder to level up starfighters.
I remember grinding during the solo update and I was so sad that the game was dead. Then in November last year I redownloaded it and I was so happy to see it was brought back to life. Rip battlefront

It's a shame really that the beginning was a disaster and when DICE began to resurrect this game, EA is killing it. Poor decisions on both counts - bad start, poor timing to end it. I wish that DICE could at least made GA, HvV and other maps for single player before ending the live support. Would have been great to be able to continue to play this game even when the servers shut down.
I swear if they DARE to shut down the servers, they release it too early when its incomplete, they stop supporting it when it has tons of plans into the future... EA is the worst company change my mind
I love battlefront 2, it’s one of the few games that I’ve 100% completed, I’ve unlocked all the achievements, milestones and cosmetics. I think I’ve played over 1000 hours in total since launch.
I had the game since launch. But I played it once and put it in my drawer till the grievous update. I got back on and been playing since. One of my favorite games. Now every time I show or tell my friends about this game they get interested. A shame the potential cut

live service takes work and you can't make all your money within 9 months of release. EA can make money on the IP, they just don't want to go that path or are incompetent.

When the 2015 battlefront was released, I got bored of it quick, I was excited for the beta, knew about the pay to win and decided not to buy the game, I bought it about a year ago soley for the campaign and just started playing multi player today, and I'm loving it, I feel I've missed out on a lot but the game is well populated and I'm still enjoying it. Just because they stop releasing new content for a game that should have been completed DAY ONE, does not mean the game is cancelled or dead. The game is dead when no one plays it anymore or the servers get shut down.

EA wanted to focus on their own Franchise of Battlefield.... and because of that they Cancelled Battlefront 2 and took the Dice creative team so they could work on the next battlefield game. Hence why battlefront 2 was cancelled when it was just getting good.... so in short EA can go screw themselves for cutting off support for a game everyone was loving.

Definitely, my favorite memory is finally getting the game at the beginning of May in 2018 because I had to save up to get an Xbox. I never had a gaming system like Xbox or PS before and only played Battlefront 2015 a couple times with friends, so this was the first game that I have ever owned. Playing through the whole transformation was an experience I will never forget. They have truly made a beautiful game and were so close to fulfilling everything I wished to see in the game. It should not have ended as it did. Thank you Ozzy for all the great Battlefront content you made for us. I really hope to see the live service come back up or the next battlefront come soon so you can start making more content on the series.
Good times...I remember pre ordering battlefront one and me and my friend played allll day. It was so fun. We bought all the season passes with cloud city and everything. Then battlefront 2 came and the same thing happened. There were ups and downs but it was always my favorite game Becuase I didn’t care about “pay to win” or not enough content. It was about Star Wars. The galaxy I like so much. A quote That i think captures this feeling was “Cars didn't drive on it to make great time. They drove on it to have a great time.” I really just want to thank them for even making this game. A beautiful video - I remember all of this like it was yesterday. Still one of my favorite games based on how much they fixed it and Star Wars. The hype that came back in 2019 was BEAUTIFUL, it made me so happy to see content creators coming back and the player base being back at the top.
I remember I was playing HvV with a couple friends and we managed to set up 1v1’s in a corner of the map on Yavin 4, the lobby timed out after we were in there for like 3 hours
I remember when the beta originally dropped, playing on Naboo with those fantastic graphics was an experience that I can't quite put into words. It was like playing my childhood.

Honestly I grew up playing both new battlefronts in high school and it’s really sad to see that so much couldn’t be brought to the game, but I enjoyed playing it with friends who gave me great memories I’ll have for a long time to come. So I’m all I’m grateful for all these games gave me despite all the setbacks
My friend and I started playing battlefront 2 in the summer and it is amazing after only playing for a few months. The only time we get upset is when we get destroyed in heroes vs villains by max players. Other than that the game is amazing. Both of us are stunned because they’re not updating the game. I’m positive that there’s many people like us who just got the game and love it and are just not finding matches or in awe that it’s not getting updates. Great vid

this game in the new console generation is honestly one of the most overlooked experiences, i got my series s and got a few games, halo monster hunter, this, and fallen order. and this game is the most fun and impressive thing ive played. SMOOTH AF visually amazing multiplayer that genuinely feels like experiencing star wars battles (especially in 1st person camera)

Through all the highs and lows, this still became one of my favorite games of all time. Here’s hoping to an even better Battlefront 3 someday!

My favorite memory is playing Geonosis for the first time. I was the clones and was the first in the at te. I remember having a blast and playing it many more times. I also Denver the beta. So much hope. I have been here the entire time and to bf 2 I say: It was a pleasure, my friend.
My memories with Battlefront 2 are still being made as I’m relatively new to the game. Battlefront 3 should be B2 remastered adding loads of new content. That’s what I would do if I were in charge.

It's BS that EA cancelled a game that had one of the best comebacks in video game history, and a huge fanbase. Nobody could have lived up to BF2's legacy. I hope they either make Battlefront 3, or make another surprise update to revive Battlefront 2.

There is no way that cyberpunk had a worse launch that BF2 lol. It is receiving more hate because people expected it to be perfect, but on systems that can actually run the game it is receiving universally high reviews. It's just the consoles that cant run it where there is controversy. BF2 was universally hated at launch, no matter the platform.

Imagine an open base star wars that’s multiplayer. You could travel to different planets and buy and customize your own ship, and choose what you do. That would be sick
Star Wars The Old Republic mate go check it out solid game and you just need to buy the subscription once to gain full access to everything that is offered. After that cancel and you have the whole game with so much content you will literally faint at the sight.

Best Swbf2 memory actually was quite recent i was playing luke and my homie was a heavy gunner and i would just stand there blocking shots while he stood behind me mowing people down with his Gatlin gun it was so epic
The value of CO-OP can't be understated. As a casual gamer, I gave up on BF2 as Galactic Assault lacked any sort of ranking system, so I'd just go join a game and die the whole time. CO-OP allowed me, and I think a lot of other casual players to really get into the game, and also level up their classes and heros. I only wish Starfighter CO-OP could have been a thing. It's even harder to level up starfighters.
I remember grinding during the solo update and I was so sad that the game was dead. Then in November last year I redownloaded it and I was so happy to see it was brought back to life. Rip battlefront

It's a shame really that the beginning was a disaster and when DICE began to resurrect this game, EA is killing it. Poor decisions on both counts - bad start, poor timing to end it. I wish that DICE could at least made GA, HvV and other maps for single player before ending the live support. Would have been great to be able to continue to play this game even when the servers shut down.
I swear if they DARE to shut down the servers, they release it too early when its incomplete, they stop supporting it when it has tons of plans into the future...

I love battlefront 2, it’s one of the few games that I’ve 100% completed, I’ve unlocked all the achievements, milestones and cosmetics. I think I’ve played over 1000 hours in total since launch.
I had the game since launch. But I played it once and put it in my drawer till the grievous update. I got back on and been playing since. One of my favorite games. Now every time I show or tell my friends about this game they get interested. A shame the potential cut
Honestly, the current biggest issue with the game is the map rotation and lack of a server browser. Who really wants to play on Kashyyyk every time when the game has soo much content now

I really wish that they either kept updating BF2 or made a 3rd game. There are so many more things that have been added to Star Wars that would be great. Bad Batch, Clone Wars Season 7, more planets, and more in the future.

live service takes work and you can't make all your money within 9 months of release. EA can make money on the IP, they just don't want to go that path or are incompetent.

Just started playing last week. I never gave it a chance cause of all the bad press but I played 2015 battlefront and the ones when I was a child religiously. The game as it is now is one of the greatest games of all time imo.
2020 started to really go to shit once EA ended Battlefront II’s Live Service.
When he talked about the graphics, imagine what Battlefront 2 would look like on the PS5 it would look awesome.

When the 2015 battlefront was released, I got bored of it quick, I was excited for the beta, knew about the pay to win and decided not to buy the game, I bought it about a year ago soley for the campaign and just started playing multi player today, and I'm loving it, I feel I've missed out on a lot but the game is well populated and I'm still enjoying it. This video was awesome my guy! Your channel will progress much further, you've got that passion for it

Just because they stop releasing new content for a game that should have been completed DAY ONE, does not mean the game is cancelled or dead. The game is dead when no one plays it anymore or the servers get shut down.

COVID-19 is to blame
EA wanted to focus on their own Franchise of Battlefield.... and because of that they Cancelled Battlefront 2 and took the Dice creative team so they could work on the next battlefield game.
Hence why battlefront 2 was cancelled when it was just getting good.... so in short EA can go screw themselves for cutting off support for a game everyone was loving.

Definitely, my favorite memory is finally getting the game at the beginning of May in 2018 because I had to save up to get an Xbox. I never had a gaming system like Xbox or PS before and only played Battlefront 2015 a couple times with friends, so this was the first game that I have ever owned. Playing through the whole transformation was an experience I will never forget. They have truly made a beautiful game and were so close to fulfilling everything I wished to see in the game. It should not have ended as it did. Thank you Ozzy for all the great Battlefront content you made for us. I really hope to see the live service come back up or the next battlefront come soon so you can start making more content on the series.

Summer 2019 was just one of the best times of my life
Good times...I remember pre ordering battlefront one and me and my friend played allll day. It was so fun. We bought all the season passes with cloud city and everything. Then battlefront 2 came and the same thing happened. There were ups and downs but it was always my favorite game Becuase I didn’t care about “pay to win” or not enough content. It was about Star Wars. The galaxy I like so much. A quote That i think captures this feeling was “Cars didn't drive on it to make great time. They drove on it to have a great time.” I really just want to thank them for even making this game. Honestly I grew up playing both new battlefronts in high school and it’s really sad to see that so much couldn’t be brought to the game, but I enjoyed playing it with friends who gave me great memories I’ll have for a long time to come. So I’m all I’m grateful for all these games gave me despite all the setbacks

My friend and I started playing battlefront 2 in the summer and it is amazing after only playing for a few months. The only time we get upset is when we get destroyed in heroes vs villains by max players. Other than that the game is amazing. Both of us are stunned because they’re not updating the game. I’m positive that there’s many people like us who just got the game and love it and are just not finding matches or in awe that it’s not getting updates. Great vid

this game in the new console generation is honestly one of the most overlooked experiences, i got my series s and got a few games, halo monster hunter, this, and fallen order. and this game is the most fun and impressive thing ive played. SMOOTH AF visually amazing multiplayer that genuinely feels like experiencing star wars battles (especially in 1st person camera)
