Number 1 should have been how short the game is because if you take out the exploring and the backtracking to the ship the story isn't really that long. My friend beat the game in 1 and a half days on jedi master at the start and turning up the difficulty to grand master halfway through to beat it exploring each planet to basically 100%, dont know how but he pointed it out to me and I agree kinda thought there would be more since the hype was huge and it was $80
WTF are you talking about?!?! It's the BEST poncho! Nothing better then rocking the pink poncho with a pink metal saber, pink blade and pink BD-1 and facing the final boss .
My pet peeves were: 1) highly inconvenient meditation spots 2) long respawn timer when killed by an enemy 3) enemies can disrupt your attacks but you can't disrupt theirs (unless you use the force)
Finally someone pointing out the biggest problem in this game: The Combat System. It is awful. It is clunky. In 90% of cases I have a feeling I am not in control of my own character. Every enemy in this game has faster attack animation than your own fastest attack and every enemy hit staggers you while your own attack do not stagger anyone. Do not get me wrong, I love SW and I love this game but the combat system is AWFUL. In what world parry/dodge commands do not cancel your own attack sequence? It is so frustrating to see an enemy to start an attack animation and then you realise that you have queued in your own attacks and they are slower than your enemies attacks and you can not parry/dodge anymore due to not being able to cancel your own attack sequence. OMG!
No lie, my friend and I spent an HOUR taking turns just to beat that motherfuckin ogdo bogdo or whatever it’s called. Realized 45 minutes in that you didn’t have to beat it for the story but by then it was personal.
I thought it was crucial to the story and after I finally turned down difficulty to beat it, I realised I didn’t even need to fuck with it and that, realistically, it was meant for later in the game anyway
And him saying, UNDERWATER, watchya got there buddy. While the same rummaging animation plays. I get that it's 'small', but this is a triple A title, and nobody thought to undo that?! Completely immersion breaking.
Yep this annoyed me too, major oversight by the developers. The BD-1 animation should of just been for the very first crate you find and the rest just let the lid open.
@@jhightower and it's really funny because they manage to get the Ninth Sister's cybernetic leg right (when this game was set after the comics where she lost it, something only comic book readers would notice) and had attention to detail on that...but they didn't see the whole underwater BD-1 thing lmao
Reaching the Mantis on Dathomir is pretty easy for me. It's Zeffo that is so damn difficult to find your back. I was just glad I was abducted by a bounty hunter and getting rescued felt like a shortcut back to the Mantis.
@@peanutpuppyboiprayforukrai1072 i got thats scomp link and got back without the ice caves by going through the empire bulding and it was so confusing, wanted to kms
Today is my second day playing the game. I died 4 to 5 times facing oggdo bogddo the frog. Then I realise maybe I could beat him. But I just skipped that part. Because of the intense forever time to respawn. I just moved on and ahead and skipped him. Sad
Me coming back to Oggdo Bogdo at the late game: “We meet again, at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you, I was but a learner. Now, I am the master.”
There is a glitch where you can go to the cave where hes at and just back paddle into the cave. For some reason he can't hit you if you back space into the opening behind him.
I’m a bit surprised that the zeffo map wasn’t on here. I’ve heard a lot of people complain about how complicated and hard to get around it is and i whole heartedly agree
Going down the slide on dathomier when you go down to the "pit" even when you try and lean into the turns Cal be like yeah no 4 tries later you finally make it
For real, we need a Sekiro style visual aid, whether for that situation or a case of being attacked off camera. Seems dumb to have the “unblockable” visual attached to an enemy.
Ya, that just about made me loose it. Every damn time I needed to use a stim, I had to make sure I had free time to spare. I get the challenge of it, but the Ninth Sister just about drove me to madness before I got the timing down! More than once I had to use Merrin's help to run away and use a stim with Malicos. Made me feel like I was in a Monty Python sketch! "Run away..." I waited for Oggdo Bogdo until after I had Force Pull... I took much pleasure in cutting off that damn tongue! Chew on me will ya!
When it comes to getting back to the ship, I don't actually mind having to run back. The biggest problem is getting lost along the way, we need a waypoint system in Jedi Survivor
@@roguerangerproductions It's not viable to have to check it and decipher it every two minutes. Especially when you can be attacked at any moment. Even GTA has a waypoint system. Games are meant to be fun, no one wants an orienteering simulator in their Star Wars game.
The most annoying thing *HAS* to be how long it takes to respawn. Also, I have a PS4 and the game *NEVER* lags out, unless I enter a new area on an elevator.
Same on PS4 Pro here. A few of the earlier sections became tedious after repeatedly dying and having to sit through that load (Oggdo Boggdo). Thought it might be improved w/ the patch that downloaded when I installed the game this week similarly to what Bloodborne patch did drastically cutting down the load times with an early patch. Maybe it’ll be fixed in the future, although what I read from the developers about it not having NG+ or much replay value it could be a moot point getting a load fix patch for people who have already played it.
sithis36 I hate those guys too. Their hitboxes are also pretty broken at times. Far too often have I seen my lightsaber ghost through them and get a baton to the face as a result.
My first encounter with Ogdo, was actually in a very civilized manner. The great frog approached me and in polite tone remarked: "Excuse me, sir, but it would appear that you dropped something". In the same polite manner, I responded: "Why, thank you, kind sir, but I do not see anything. What it is that you claimed that I have dropped?" After these words Ogdo smiled: "Your ass, sir. Let me hand it back to you!"
@Spooderman But he’s easy to beat if you know he won’t attack you if you stay in the entrance to his lair. Just tempt him over roll out attack and roll back over and over until he’s done
@@MikeCordeiro666 Might as well use the Force to breathe underwater while he's at it. Then I would've gotten those underwater crates on Zeffo in my first playthrough.
So I didn't struggle that hard with anything, I mean I died a bunch of certain bosses but I made it through. The WORST PART, THE HARDEST MOB, was definitely the little red rats that came in groups of 5 or 6. I hated those things so much.
@@matthewturner4028 what's your advice for night brothers? I just got the climbing tool that you need so I'm doing good but they still get me sometimes, like the undead night sisters are cake, the big ass thing you have to just parry to get a square finisher are cake but I still haven't found a good weakness other than force pull and slice em up or I just force pull and throw them at each other or push off the ledge as I let a burning rageful fuck you out from my gritted teeth 🗿
@@clouded_vision5517 I used a combination of two abilities for those guys. 1: the force pull (preferably the one that pulls multiple enemies) 2: when all enemies are in your face use the double lightsabers zone attack. (I think it’s L1 R1 but it’s been a minute.)
@@GSH1649 oh boy, don't get me started on that one. It took me 4 hours to find it, 3 or so to figure what puzzle I had to do as there were multiple and about another 1-2 hours to find my way out as Zeffo is a maze.
@@Reaper-wj2jw lmao who are you to tell me I’m bitching about a challenge the highest difficulty on this game wasn’t too hard, I’m just saying it was annoying cuz instead of walking through the map and seeing the world u focus on killing the same enemy 5 times in 15 minutes
When youre underwater and bd-1 "jumps in a crate" its actually bugged and the crate magically rocks back and forth as if hes in the crate when in all reality hes still on your shoulder.
Who would win? A young Jedi trained by experienced masters, growing stronger in the force every minute, and knows a good deal of lightsaber dueling. *or* Giant frog boi
CreatureCal option 3: Finn. A guy with zero training whatsoever who was a stormtrooper janitor but can apparently nearly yeet the head off of Kylo Ren in a saber battle.
good kisser if you are going to mention a character from the Disney trilogy and you use Finn? Like Rey wasn’t just a girl version of Aladdin who became top tier of the most powerful Jedi in all of star wars canon in 8 months of dicking around and having high school level moral dilemmas. At least in Aladdin he had a Genie to make him a prince.
that's one thing I hate is there hardly feels like there's ever any reward or loot. it's barely satisfying when you do beat an enemy, you fight more animals and dodge roll on the floor than using the force to fight sith or the empire. you have no choice or character arch between light side or dark side, the force powers are bland and unexciting. I really wish it was just a little bit more like force unleashed mechanics and pacing with the same tone and visuals of fallen order. I hate how on rails the game feels too even tho you freely traverse and return to location's to explore, still feels very on rails and not open world at all
@@mikec3201 I agree... The loot system is terrible... And combat can get frustrating at times... Also getting back to your ship is a pain in the ass... But I loved everything else about the game...
Apparently I'm alone in hating Cal's ability to properly aim his jumps - I've died a hundred times jumping out on a rod and landing next to it instead. Now I have to reconsider whether it's really Cal's aim or mine.
I feel like the animation for healing that screwed up almost all my boss fights in my first playthrough. I think that’s more frustrating than the spiders or the easiest Legendary Beast.
Can’t even tell u how many times i died because inputting the stim was so goddamn slow. I would literally have to run far away from the enemy to heal 😭
The worst is when the animation is almost over and you get hit again so it cancels it out. Back to square one. This was my biggest gripe with the game.
@@rimfirecommando I don't see either why BD-2 would think "oh so he just called for a stim, but before I could apply it he got hit. Surely he doesn't need one anymore now."
It’s super slow, I listened to the tip thing that said “slow down to heal.” Started doing that and it worked really well. Force slow and heal so you can move around again.
1. How long it takes to respawn 2. Not being able to pick a character 3. Not making it easier to return to the ship after completing a mission 4. Controlling where Cal goes when going down a slide 5. Merrin actually not coming with you on missions after she decides to join And the absolute worst...the fact that the game ended and doesn't go on forever
1. Is not really a problem game-wise as it is hardware, Consoles only have a hard drive boasting long load times. Get an SSD and you'll get 10 second respawn times. 2. I actually personally prefer having a linear character as it's not only easier for the story but also so I don't have to spend 1 hour in a character customization system, on a similar note I would've liked some more customization of Cal himself as I find even being able to change his hair for example would be a nice touch. The outfits that he has are meh... pretty much 2 options and then re-colors to go along with them. 3. I do agree with this but I also find that just being able to instantly teleport to your desired destination is un-realistic and un-immersive. Yet I would love to save time, so I agree somewhat... 4. lmao the amount of times I fell off because I could hardly control where he was going is beyond count I 100% agree.
@@benjamingavrilis71 true...but I wasn't saying necessarily teleport back after a mission...cuz that would kinda lame...but just make it easier somehow....like more clues on the map or something
With the long time to respawn, the absurd lot of puzzles and the slides is enough to be sure that i will never play that game in the hardest difficulty, that would take an absurd amount of time
they could atleast make a waypoint or make the player icon on the map bigger when you look around it you have a hard time finding your location because its to small on the map
For some reason, most of the monster type enemies in this game are designed in rounded shapes, like the giant frogs and spiders, makes it really difficult to spot when they're whirring up for an attack. I can deal with Stormtroopers easily enough but the giant bugs...now I know why people are afraid of spiders.
The worst offenders were the 5 on tomb of milkrull that are underground waiting to ambush you while u battle the electrobaton purge trooper!! They made me so mad!!!
@@charzzletw1n1ng31 actually that bit where theres like 12 of them only 3 or 4 actually come at u at once. Focus one. Use single blade to do more damage or if you're quick enough use the double to chip away at more than one of them but always roll

Sekiro being over 50 hours while I finished fallen order in 20 :/
For me the sliding sections have been most annoying. Just the lack of control and sometimes just not making jumps when it felt more like the games fault than lack of my skill
A hundred times this. Some of the icy slides were just the worst, combined with the wind effects and when you have to constantly use them in Zeffo because the lifts only get you up?? Like what the hell.
in skyrim there was always a door at the end of the quest that led u to the beginning of the map without walking the whole way back.. i definitely miss that.

I used to make fun of games that would add that. But it's sooo bloody useful. Running through the whole map (which isn't linear) is tedious. Worse so when you get lost
You forgot one more thing, this game is great for gamers who like solving puzzles. If you don't like puzzles this is not the game for you. I expected more fighting the empire instead of puzzles.
There really aren’t that many puzzles tbh, and they are usually pretty unique and fun. God of war has a way bigger problem with this in my opinion If you dont like platforming, this isn’t for you though lmao
I was perfectly fine with facing Ogdo Bodgo repeatedly, but that puzzle with the ball behind the bars at the start of Bogano was the bang of my existence
LOL i did that and was like omg who puts something like this in a game.. this whole game is a rat maze.. its to see what the rats (you and me) are capable of.. the game shares usage data with the developer.
Can’t tell me I was the only one who got her added to the team and then see the achievement/trophy pop for having a full team. Seriously? Just one new member?
Something i really dislike (or missed?) is the lack of loot. Like all you get is lightsaber parts (which is cool) and poncho colors. At some point i didnt even bother getting the poncho loot. I wish i could wear some jedi robe, armors etc.
Right! You feel underpowered the whole game, I will never understand why game developers power tap you until the game is almost over and then you're having the most fun.
For me it was that, and how it finally made you feel somewhat powerful when you finally did unlock them all, only to then make you feel like a pissant when Vader comes charging in. Granted, it IS Vader, but still, made me feel really small, and like everything I'd been through in this game was pointless.
MadMatt Gaming I agree and felt the exact same way. Felt like a badass during the entire fortress mission until Vader came in to the picture. He was untouchable and felt like the entire fortress was coming down on you. When I got to the elevator I truly felt like anxiety like if I was right there next to Cal trying smashing all the buttons trying to get the elevator going. Loved every minute of it.
Navigating Zeffo to get back to your ship the first time is my biggest peeve because you’re forced to go down into the ice caves to access three elevators that annoyingly can only be used to go UP.
Honestly never encountered that problem I think I just got lucky or maybe I’m just blind I remember going back and swing PLENTY of normal jest I missed that I swear I passed on the main story🤣🤣🤣
My cat is named Melon not having Jedi robes available was a mistake imo. You can’t even put it down to ‘the Jedi were massacred so he’s hiding’ since he’s yeeting a lightsaber around in the open
@@sabineschrocker7841 I like contrast when i costumize, so i think it would be cool to have anakin's robes which are black, with my lightsaber which has a chrome material and cyan lightsaber. Very dark on very light colours looks really cool to me. Like a black with bright red, green or cyan. Cyan is my favourite though. thankfully there is an all black poncho, so im happy with that.
I’d like to add to the point of killing your last enemy to get your XP back. I hate how the target is glowing yellow. It hides the unblockable red power move of the enemy if it immediately attacks you in that way.
Just an FYI for those that HATE THE FROG and dont want to loose experience points when you die...play on very easy story mode. I only fought the frog 1 time and I didnt loose any of my points when I died. I actually enjoyed the game more on easy story mode. Just an fyi to those who hate that frog. :0)
Hi, yeah, I’m the guy who went to dathomir first and spent 45 minutes to an hour fighting to a place I wouldn’t be able to go till the end of the game. It’s a great time.
I went there early for the dual lightsaber, got my ass kicked for an hour trying to get to it, then just decided to sprint through all the enemies, got the upgrade then dipped
Yeah, I legit thought it was an optional area of the game because of how it was originally presented, so I went there first because you always do optional stuff first, right? Still, even knowing the main plot sends you there eventually, it's worth hitting it early for upgrades you wouldn't otherwise get until much later.
I've 100% grandmaster difficulty no damage runned this game a couple times, and I can say for certain, the little rats are the strongest mini-bosses in the whole game
I just couldn't stand them telling me it was so dangerous. All I heard was it's so rewarding and I was right. You go up ten lvls quick get that sweet loot that someone already spoiled, and none of the enemies are hard. They hit hard but are either easy to dodge/party or go down quickly (spiders&night people) and I'm grandmaster. That frog was worse than all of those.
I hated the sliding, it wasn't intuitive at all. I move left and Cal goes flying of the edge you don't move at all and he slides right off. Or jumping at the end of a sliding section only to miss the rope and have to do it all over again. In my opinion the worst thing about the game.
True. I've had several instances where I've had to redo it because I fell in a pit that I didn't have time to react to, jumping to early for a wall and falling or missing the rope. Luckily that last one isn't a problem after you get force pull
I remember when I was first exploring Kashyyyk, and got jumpscared tf out by the big spider. I think I had a heart attack. And then I went back after I finished the game and still got jumpscared.
I’m horribly afraid of spiders and that moment legitimately had me cowering in fear for the entire rest of my time on Kashyyyk. When I entered that room, I expected an enemy to appear in the middle given the weird looking spot on the ground and the dead stormtrooper, so I walked straight into the middle… and nothing happened. I shrugged my shoulders and got the upgrade on the table nearby. Walking back out of the room is when that fucking spider jumped down on me from above . The idea that they could come out from the canopy at me is bad enough, but reading the description of the wyyyshok in the databank told me that they ALSO wait underground in small holes to jump out at prey. So, basically, even when there’s open sky above me, they can still fuck my day up. Every single time I was in any kind of jungle space I was on edge. Luckily the albino wyyyshok room basically told me what was gonna happen but there was that spot right before the giant zipline down into the lake where one jumped me and gave me ANOTHER heart attack. By the time I finished on Kashyyyk I had their spawns burned into my head and literally braced for impact every time I had to walk past. Funnily enough the Bane Back Spiders on Dathomir never really freaked me out anywhere near as much as the Wyyyshoks did. I’m praying Jedi Survivor doesn’t have giant fucking spiders… give me snakes instead, they’ll give me a heart attack but at least I won’t loathe looking at it while I’m fighting them.
@@HS-mn6jc The first spider I encountered was up the upgrade area for your droid. I stepped in the middle and got caught in a web, then when I was trying to escaped it, the spider comes out of nowhere and attacks me. It was so annoying killing it, just as annoying as security droids
darkness The problem with that is it takes away from certain parts in the story, that I won’t spoil rn, to keep those elements in they kinda had to make it so u can’t fast travel. At least they have shortcuts
Cal in my personal story stop wearing ponchos because he was sick of hiding and his poncho was a representation of hiding, also he looks rad without it
Okay I agree so much with number 10 like I spent an hour trying to find the mantis on the second mission (I was stuck in the first tomb for most of the time). I also went to dathomir right after and I spent like 5 minutes there before saying “I’m out” I think the big spiders on kashyyk are the worst enemy tbh
Good god this. I was dissapointed that we didn’t get a rancor fight on Dathomir, even as an optional boss. I mean the planet is the homeworld for the species for pete’s Sake! And all we get are those offbrand rancors instead?
Something I didnt like is how short the story line was. 5 Planets didnt take long to defeat. I was hoping for more planets and more adventures, with more enemies. Also, the fact that once you collect the one crystal, you had all them all. I felt lead to believe that you would have to search and different colored crystals. (Kinda was hoping for black lol) All the points you mentioned in the video were good, and were true. However all in all, it was a super fun game, and I really hope they come out with another one.
The thing I absolutely hated were those damn Shock Troopers. I always get so frustrated fighting them I just Force Slow then roll behind and Super Force Push them off cliffs. Literally the only enemies I hated in the entire game.
My least favorite thing is the absence of a stealth type mode or attack other than the attack from above. Jedi are masters of stealth and we see it a lot in the movies so why do I have to charge in to every battle? Why do I have to face every single stormtrooper head on.
I kept reaching for a "crouch" button that didn't exist, especially when there was a low wall that I could have easily hid behind or a corner I could've covered.
BoredMillenials EXACTLY, then I remember that I only have the option to slaughter my enemies all together. I take the L and force dash attack to at least take out one before the madness
Same lol, i got so frustrated. I got stuck on the damn night brothers for like an hour because of the respawn time, but i milked it got a ton of skill points and the double saber so🤷♂️
i went to there right after bogano i think so i could get the double bladed lightsaber... i spent like 30 minutes just constantly trying to dodge the nightbrothers while they swing their huge axes at me just so i could get it
At this point I'd pay for a different outfit. Shouldn't have too but here we are. They should have done an AC odyssey or GoW gear system. Damn shame , this could have been a great game instead of an ok game.
Decepticon_ CK yea this game is great. With that being said I pretty much never used the ponchos cuz I didn’t like them, but this isn’t something that brings down my enjoyment of the game any. Customization is extra that isn’t required to make a good game. That mindset is why we have companies like EA taking advantage of people dumb enough to pay real money for a virtual outfit
Theres numerous times i clicked the stim like 6 times before it actually shot out to me. Multiple times costing me the fight and having to respawn and fight all over again
Right? They should do it like Souls - you drop whatever you’re doing to estus/stim. The developers were probably trying to be helpful (except the glitch where the “stim please” voice plays and nothing happens), but I prefer to drop block/attack/whatever in priority of heal.
I went to Dathomir immediately after Bogano because it sounded cool. But I didn't have double jump so I could only clear it till I reached the Stranger. But luckily I got my hands on the dual lightsaber and that made the game even more fun.
I definitely thought the sliding was going to be on this list. I believe it was the worst movement mechanic I've ever played. I LOATHED those sections.
In the Bogano vault, it would've been so cool to fight the Inquisitor Cal you see in the mirror instead of breaking it. To just see him come out of that mirror, and see a health bar come up labelled "CAL KESTIS". It would work for the story, with Cal confronting his own inner darkness.
just about every time I go to use a stim in combat, Cal will say "I need a stim BD," but instead of getting a stim, I switch to double-bladed lightsaber. So the game registered that I pressed up on the D-Pad, but actually reacts as if I pressed left. The only time it doesn't do this is if take a second and make sure I press directly up. It seems if I press up but it's even slightly diagonal it knows I asked for a stim but it decides to say "Nah, fuck you."
Question... everytime Cal days "BD I need a stim" should you get health regardless...? Because so many times hes said it but he hasn't managed to finish the animation because an enemy attacks or something and so the health doesnt heal.
My main critiques of this game: -I absolutely hated the purge troopers. Even when I switched to Story Mode, they were a nightmare. -I despised the sliding sections, especially when the checkpoint puts you back on the slide instead of before it so you have no time to chill or go somewhere else -I hated just about all the puzzles, especially that stupid ball puzzle. Most of BD-1's hints didn't help a single bit. -The fact that the game doesn't tell you which paths are mandatory or optional. I kept finding myself finding multiple paths, going down one path first thinking it was an optional path for collectables, and accidentally finding the main path which made me miss out on whatever I would've found. -When I was trying to 100% the game, there were some sections where I had everything but the game still didn't consider it fully explored. I had to look at comments of guide videos to find them. -The fact that parkour fails take away some of your health (if I remember correct, that was fixed in Jedi Survivor). -The fact that the map isn't very clear on where crates, databank entries, and secret bosses you haven't found yet are. -This is just a little me thing but I still hated it. I kept going through one section and dying/ having to restart without saving out of being unlucky over and over again and going down a very long path to it because the save point is very far away. Edit: After replaying the game with increased difficulty, I just discovered a few new things I hate. -Animation cancelling. Sometimes, I'd be ganged up on by enemies and lose health. I'd naturally ask BD-1 for a stim. However, for some stupid reason, if Cal gets hit or even moves too much, it's cancelled and he doesn't get healed, usually resulting in him dying. Why do I have to let the animation happen to get healed? I literally press the button for request and Cal says a stim line but it doesn't work because I get hit. Even if the animation or line is interrupted, I should get healed since I had stims left and pressed the button. - The stims weren't the only thing with that problem. Sometimes, I'd go in for a stronger lightsaber attack but I'd get interrupted because it takes longer than regular lightsaber attacks. I wouldn't mind that as much if you got to keep some of the force from the failed attack. -I also didn't like that (some of) said stronger lightsaber attacks could be blocked/parried by enemies. I figured that those attacks would be my own red unblockable attacks because of how all the other enemies had that and it'd be nicer if they'd all be like enemies' red attacks. -I wish we could run or at least walk faster when on the Mantis and also skip cutscenes. -I also would've liked if the game had fast travel. Thankfully, Jedi Survivor does.
It is a hologram, given by BD-1, which wouldn't really be able to project under water. Now if we had some sort of helmet/goggles/space eye patch, then we could see it in a 3d sort of form. That would be cool to go in first person when we use it underwater.
@Cyrell Cainglet i hope you like wasting time trying to find out where to go with hardly any action while doing so its the worst star wars game i ever played
Yeah, I love that animation though, my favourite part of the game. Gives me the real Star Wars feel when you look out the window and see the ship jump into hyperspace.
A good thing it's that the game gives you tips for defeating enemies, like for the ogdo you can use force pull and cut his tongue, or for the nydak on dathomir if you parry 3 attacks you get an insta execution
I’m surprised by the “walking back to your ship” trouble, because tons of older games gave you a short cut or made it significantly easier to leave the level after you beat it. Ratchet and clank games come to mine when an elevator or a fast travel path open up.
@GhostFZ 62 The shortcuts only cut out so much of the travel time. The map is cut up into roughly 3 layers and there are multiple different regions to each layer. The shortcuts only cut out travelling through a few regions in a layer. Ratchet and Clank maps were circles, basically. You would get to the end of the map and there'd be an elevator or teleporter to take you back to your ship. In Fallen Order, you'll still have a fairly long walk back to the ship.
Chedo no the shortcuts save a huge amount of time, plus the route back to your ship usually leads you to chests full of customization options. Why is anyone complaining about this, a game thats not completely linear like everyone wanted? Wooooow
@@N0RB1TCH - I missed a chest at Witches' Horn in Dathomir. Had to go through multiple different areas to get there, and then I had to go back through a few more areas just to get to my ship, all while using every single shortcut available since I explored all the planets already. Took like 10 minutes to get to that one chest and I knew exactly where to go.
My main complaint is... “if I wanted a snowboarding game, that is what I would buy”. There is one set of curves on the 2nd planet I may have died 30 times.
Am I the only person that literally never once struggled with sliding? It was so easy. I mean, I'm used to Ray Surfing in Super Mario Galaxy, which is basically this but with worse handling, so that probably helped, but still. What exactly was so hard about it? You make small adjustments to keep yourself on the slope, avoid making hard turns, and jump with decent timing. The only slope that I failed more than once was that one in the second Zeffo tomb, and that's just because of the vines... which are actually terrible.
Just another heads up: minor gameplay spoilers, if you care.
Hi
Number 1 should have been how short the game is because if you take out the exploring and the backtracking to the ship the story isn't really that long. My friend beat the game in 1 and a half days on jedi master at the start and turning up the difficulty to grand master halfway through to beat it exploring each planet to basically 100%, dont know how but he pointed it out to me and I agree kinda thought there would be more since the hype was huge and it was $80
gameranx I’m playing the game on story mode is it’s too easy I sometimes die but after unlocking the force abilities the game become easy.

It is inevitable.
You made my day man with that comm :D
Hilarious. Job well done. I literally, in a literal sense, laughed out loud. (+)
I'm having flashbacks already... Damn that frog. 😂
Oggdo Boggo was a hero he was trying to save us from the pink poncho
WTF are you talking about?!?! It's the BEST poncho! Nothing better then rocking the pink poncho with a pink metal saber, pink blade and pink BD-1 and facing the final boss .
DarthTach you have my mind
But bogdo was a pretty annoying boss
I dont care i love the pink poncho he's so cute
I hate all the ponchos, think there silly but my completionest self makes me collect them anyway.
accidentally starting an elevator that takes forever to reach its destination
and then realising you have to go back up the elevator because you don't have the right abilities to get through a door
This is the worst! I just went and cooked myself a 3-course meal whilst I waited to go back up and down again
Dear GOD this is always frican painful.
Especially the ones in the zeffo ice caves. They go up, but not down
And going through the horribly tedious sliding mechanics back down...
My pet peeves were:
1) highly inconvenient meditation spots
2) long respawn timer when killed by an enemy
3) enemies can disrupt your attacks but you can't disrupt theirs (unless you use the force)
Yup. Gave the game a 6/10. It's highly overrated
OMG!
Just saying, if you are fast enough, then during their unblockables, you can hit them cancel it out. Works sometimes though
Sounds like a skill issue to me
You can interrupt the enemy’s attacks even if it’s an unblockable just gotta use the overhead slash for the unblockables
Me after running away from the Ogdo Bogdo and coming back a few missions later: My powers have doubled since the last we met Bogdo.

When i finished the game the first thing i did was to go and f*ck ogdo bogdo
No lie, my friend and I spent an HOUR taking turns just to beat that motherfuckin ogdo bogdo or whatever it’s called. Realized 45 minutes in that you didn’t have to beat it for the story but by then it was personal.
HAHAHAHA SAME AF
It was so easy tho took me like tries
I thought it was crucial to the story and after I finally turned down difficulty to beat it, I realised I didn’t even need to fuck with it and that, realistically, it was meant for later in the game anyway

Seems like no one else has picked up on the underwater chest animations, where BD1 stays on your shoulder whilst rummaging in the crate.
They might have had too little time to start polishing all that little stuff, I’m not sure though

Reaching the Mantis on Dathomir is pretty easy for me. It's Zeffo that is so damn difficult to find your back. I was just glad I was abducted by a bounty hunter and getting rescued felt like a shortcut back to the Mantis.
Hmm imagine getting abducted by bounty hunter while fleeing dathomir, now that's a rescue

Joaquin RP It’s pretty bad, but it’s not horrible. I noticed it’s a lot shorter in the middle of boss fights.
So true
Same on PS4 Pro here. A few of the earlier sections became tedious after repeatedly dying and having to sit through that load (Oggdo Boggdo). Thought it might be improved w/ the patch that downloaded when I installed the game this week similarly to what Bloodborne patch did drastically cutting down the load times with an early patch. Maybe it’ll be fixed in the future, although what I read from the developers about it not having NG+ or much replay value it could be a moot point getting a load fix patch for people who have already played it.
The wildlife is deadlier than every type of stormtrooper combined.

Oh my, that's the most annoying thing on the sliding parts.
Broseph or ziplining when bd doesn’t do the thing
Happens all the time ur not the only one
There will be something to eventually help you with that
1. How long it takes to respawn
2. Not being able to pick a character
3. Not making it easier to return to the ship after completing a mission
4. Controlling where Cal goes when going down a slide
5. Merrin actually not coming with you on missions after she decides to join
And the absolute worst...the fact that the game ended and doesn't go on forever

Hi, yeah, I’m the guy who went to dathomir first and spent 45 minutes to an hour fighting to a place I wouldn’t be able to go till the end of the game. It’s a great time.
But you did get an awesome upgrade... which could have been gotten easier if you went to zeffo and then back to bogano.
I did the same thing, got my ass kicked to Tatooine by the night brothers
But the double blade was worth it
I went there early for the dual lightsaber, got my ass kicked for an hour trying to get to it, then just decided to sprint through all the enemies, got the upgrade then dipped
I cant believe how long i spent trying to get that through that shit
Yeah, I legit thought it was an optional area of the game because of how it was originally presented, so I went there first because you always do optional stuff first, right? Still, even knowing the main plot sends you there eventually, it's worth hitting it early for upgrades you wouldn't otherwise get until much later.

I’m surprised all the sliding wasn’t on this list, it was ok at first but it quickly got on my nerves.
I hated the sliding, it wasn't intuitive at all. I move left and Cal goes flying of the edge you don't move at all and he slides right off. Or jumping at the end of a sliding section only to miss the rope and have to do it all over again. In my opinion the worst thing about the game.
Yep. The slide on Dathomir, after the sacrificial pit was pretty much my last “let’s see if there’s something FUN to play” straw.
Y'all are just mad because you suck at games
@@d3viantj3st3r7 omg yes summed it up perfectly thought I was the only one

It's EA bud. Ask and Ye shall receive. For a low price of $9.99. You can have this mask!
At this point I'd pay for a different outfit. Shouldn't have too but here we are. They should have done an AC odyssey or GoW gear system. Damn shame , this could have been a great game instead of an ok game.
Decepticon_ CK this is a great game what are you talkin about. Just because of some outfits don’t change that
Decepticon_ CK yea this game is great.
Is it me or whenever I ask for a stim it doesn’t come sometimes especially when I’m about to dir
Theres numerous times i clicked the stim like 6 times before it actually shot out to me. Multiple times costing me the fight and having to respawn and fight all over again
This should've been number one. I HATE this
Right? They should do it like Souls - you drop whatever you’re doing to estus/stim.
The developers were probably trying to be helpful (except the glitch where the “stim please” voice plays and nothing happens), but I prefer to drop block/attack/whatever in priority of heal.
yeah i was just standing still asked for stim and after and keep fighting i notice i still have 2 stim left xD
I always douple hit the stim for it to come
I went to Dathomir immediately after Bogano because it sounded cool.

I loved the reveal where you first shine the red lightsaber, really caught me off guard
Sounds like the Couruscant DLC for The Force Unleashed.
You can do exactly that with the new battle simulation mode
New update just came out let's you do that!
The new update allows you to face off against...I mean die while trying to fight Inquisitor Kal.
Cal: *Almost out of health* “I need a stim BD!”
BD: “I think you had enough.”
Cal: ._.
That happened to me once... I didn’t like it
You obviously used them all up.
NightAngel867 no there was a glitch that didn’t allow people to get stims even if you have them
@@NightAngel867 r/Woooosh
just about every time I go to use a stim in combat, Cal will say "I need a stim BD," but instead of getting a stim, I switch to double-bladed lightsaber.
My main critiques of this game:
-I absolutely hated the purge troopers. Even when I switched to Story Mode, they were a nightmare.
-I despised the sliding sections, especially when the checkpoint puts you back on the slide instead of before it so you have no time to chill or go somewhere else
-I hated just about all the puzzles, especially that stupid ball puzzle.
One thing I hated was not being able to use the map underwater
I think that was the idea. You had to use a little foresight to navigate underwater.
It is a hologram, given by BD-1, which wouldn't really be able to project under water. Now if we had some sort of helmet/goggles/space eye patch, then we could see it in a 3d sort of form. That would be cool to go in first person when we use it underwater.

A good thing it's that the game gives you tips for defeating enemies, like for the ogdo you can use force pull and cut his tongue, or for the nydak on dathomir if you parry 3 attacks you get an insta execution
Never seen those tips
I’m surprised by the “walking back to your ship” trouble, because tons of older games gave you a short cut or made it significantly easier to leave the level after you beat it. Ratchet and clank games come to mine when an elevator or a fast travel path open up.
It actually does give you a lot of shortcuts, you open door and put down ropes to climb up places you had to go around
When you get the Nightsister on your ship, could of been the perfect time to get "Magical" Fast Travel

@@themindfulmoron3790 yea, i didn’t think it was that hard either, and I actually found it quite fun
