This guy is good you can tell by the fluidity of his movements and the assurance in his cuts. No surprises everything comes down nice and smooth. Job Well Done Boys #DGD
Great video, I'm yet to climb a pine tree, my two colleagues removed some dead from two pines in Cheltenham yesterday. I was envious being on the ground but we take the climbs in turn.. only fair. Again great video and be safe .
That's what I call teamwork. Everything fits perfectly together. Awesome rigging especially the big branch. Man I'd like to quit my job and work with you guys :D
Done tree work for ten yrs until a accident killed me mate and injured my other mate , as lucky but still think of that day , Massive massive respect to all who are into Arbo !
Would be useful for the 👎people to leave a comment !! as we don't know if it's the way the tree has been dismantled or the drone footage that you object to ..... come on stop hiding behind your down thumbs THANKS TO ALL YOU HAVE LEFT COMMENTS, ITS MUCH APPRECIATED ...ACE ARB WISHING YOU ALL A FANTASTIC 2017 !
You can definitely get two thumbs up from me I would love to see a real climber in action you are having very good luck with the fluid movement system about your body language excellent work brother excellent excellent excellent excellent
Hi Ace Arboriculture. Good to connect with you. I see you're a tree surgeon. I was one also. I am interested in what you do. I have a few small questions regarding tree surgeons and their struggles. I was wondering as a tree surgeon do you struggle with back pain?
Greg James - Hi Greg thanks for your comment, if you mean whilst a dip cut is put in, then it’s purely for work positioning. Easier than being tied in with strops and easier to set the rigging rope. 👍
Ace Arboriculture Ltd thanks for the reply. It's from 7:05 I might be wrong but it looks like you are starting the felling cut cutting the wedge out? I'm still learning after doing the 9 week tree surgery course at Merrist Wood and going back this year as I didn't pass my climbing test (spiking is hard!) 😀
Greg James - Hi yes you are correct the anchor point is above, however perfectly acceptable as just removing the gob cut on a sound stem. You will for obvious reasons be taught not to cut timber that you are tied into. Merrist wood is a cracking place to learn I’ve been there myself !. Keep plugging away at the climbing it will come with time ... good luck and stay safe 👍
Luc Fournier - hi Luc the reason for the small re direct was to stop the timber smashing in to the GRCS as the main rigging block is above. GRCS tend to be expensive to replace and of course the slabs are not cheap either. 👍👍
maybe poeple gave it a thumbs down because no secondary attachment point was used when operating the saw while taking the limbs. posting a vid when using bad practice is a bit irresponsible.
TheYakoobe ... well spotted ! but not on every cut. The video doesn't claim to be of educational purpose therefore not irresponsible. You are also incorrect. So ...... just for yourself and 'educational purposes', It clearly states in HSE AFAG401 Tree-climbing operations : Use supplementary anchors, unless the risk assessment identifies the need for the climber to be able to move freely, for example, where there is a risk of a cut section striking the climber. But thanks for you comment 🤗😝

Great team you’ve got there. Good grounds man are rare as hens teeth. It’s a pleasure to watch a climber that’s as fluid as this guy.
Nicely done, impressed with the groundworker's smooth rigging
Great bit of dance music takes me back . (Also great job on the tree!)

유튜버 중에서 입체적으로 영상 촬영을 제일 잘 했습니다 굿 👍
What was the reason for removal of this tree?

Good old Copper Castle, spent many a working day in East Devon. Nice tree though.

Nice shot and some big bits coming off.
Hey guys nice work watching this from North Devon 💪🏼 how many years training to get all your climbing tickets?
bear Smithy ..... doesn't really take that long to get the Basic 'tickets' ... just takes years of experience applying them 👍
Perfect work, Grat 🤝
Nice job. great video, what spikes are you using? seems to mee that they are very comfortable.! thanks
best bit of tree demolition i ever saw
brilliant work
Tree surgery is about safety and love of nature . . Preswick university awesome .
Great tree removal in The Shire.
One last question is the zigzag worth the £### or should the money go to 'er indoors LOL ?.
Paul Pirie - definitely and definitely not ! 😂
A zigzag is a great piece of kit I have been using one since February and would not be with out it now.
I'll pass on the chance of mechanical failure & stick with a proper hitch cord
Very nice
I still find it fun n'y I belive that you can prétention the load and à timberitch going up would have done the job thanks 4 all thèse great vid's
Great video! Just one question is why are you anchored above some of your cuts? I'm not criticising you I'm just very curious. Thanks
Greg James - Hi Greg thanks for your comment, if you mean whilst a dip cut is put in, then it’s purely for work positioning. Easier than being tied in with strops and easier to set the rigging rope. 👍

Was the forwarder (tractor) running on red diesel?
Ace tune
Great rigging!
Why? It's very basic. Capstan at the bottom of truck, single pulley at the top. The whole tree is a basic take down.
I want to climb for this outfit !
How much for the take down? A1 job lads
Tom Jepson wasn't too much 😉, however the traffic management was nearly 1K on top of the removal bill !
£1500 + Traffic management £1k
Song lyrics had me rolling 😂
Yeah nicely done, music didn't do it for me .
Good job good tune
Very good vid
Top notch
I like where he pinched the bar taking the top
😅
Nice work . 3 questions. 1, was the drone work legal? 2, was the climber using a zigzag ? 3, was the bollard a stein ? Once again a well executed job.
Paul Pirie 1.Most definitely 2. Yes 3. GRCS 👍
good' lucky no wind with the head tho'
do you have a lily camera drone?
it’s a Typhoon H ... Arron 6 rotors :)
Hi cool I'll look into this
are you on Facebook?
àt 2:58to 3:01 was it nécessairy to rig in such way I find it fun n'y 😉
I think he was trying not to chunk big pieces onto that blue sandstone below. That stuff is expensive
Luc Fournier - hi Luc the reason for the small re direct was to stop the timber smashing in to the GRCS as the main rigging block is above. GRCS tend to be expensive to replace and of course the slabs are not cheap either. 👍👍

Irgendjemand deutsches hier?
Eine Schande, so einen schönen Baum zu fällen! 😢
