Yes, Elon was miffed at the other bot companies seemingly copying Optimus after seeing progress. I think the video is mis-direction. Gen 3 is being developed. I agree. If self driving FSD cars are almost ready don’t you think the Optimus is also close.

@14:14 Why are GigaCastings being deployed? Because the quality is baked in. The parts are quick to produce and perfect every time.
No one seems to spot this, but on Optimus last reveal video scene on 4:06 on your video: there are no battery feeding mechanisms or people pushing new batteries into Optimus being remotely trained. I think this scene is somewhat "staged" or there was some other kind of training happening, for example situation ehere there is no battery feeded, a kind of fail-safe scenario ?
I don’t think you saw that correctly, there was a non Optimus robot removing batteries from one line and stacking them in the line that Optimus is removing them from. And they matched each others speed.
In fact all of this live training is “staged”. It’s designed to give Optimus different problems/scenarios to solve. It’s not designed to get folded shirts or battery’s in a box. The goal for Optimus is to perform a variety of tasks and learn like a child playing with blocks.
