Chris Dawson was appointed CEO in April after joining the Arcimoto board of directors in August 2022. He previously worked at Tesla and joined the Arcimoto board when the company was floundering, suffering financial losses and teetering on collapse.

Sure. Blame Mark. All EV manufacturing startup valuations became insanely frothy at the same time. Investors stopped caring about financials and became mindless speculators. The dude did what he set out to do: Took a vision and turned it into reality. Sorry for your loss.
They need to but their facility in a central part of the US. That way more people have access to the companies products. I’m from ohio and we need a covered cycle/car. We have a lot of rain in Ohio and having a cheap form of transportation especially an EV. This can be a 4 season EV for people that cant afford a car this would be the best option.

Ill act ahocked it isnt selling well for an open air (qt best half door) vehicle withab 100 mole range and all for $23k. Honestly the range is fine for a commuter vehicle. If you could get that fiwn to 15k and ENCLOSE THE CAB! This company could be profitable

There's a desire and need for electric vehicles, but $20K is holding folks back. Especially when they can get a gas fueled Spyder for under $10K
about time..... still not sold that it will be successful, due to the design.
The design is truly beautiful IF you fully grasp the need for more sustainable transportation and how that must and will over ride any demands for comfort and excess. Most US drivers are still addicted to heavy over powered high speed steel caged climate controlled lounge couches which are an environmental abomination we have to change to survive. Motorcyclists understand the autocycle concept. This is called right sizing your ride.

@@agoodlife2 No we absolutely DO NOT. Such thinking is a big part of global warming. Americans are especially bad at abusing personal vehicles for too long and too short trips when we should be using public transportation and/or changing our lifestyles to be sustainable.
We have no right to steal more than our fair share of resources from future generations. The average daily trip is 3 miles with 3 empty seats and an empty trunk!
Price of new ICE cars averages $45,000, new EVs average $60,000 in 2023. In what world is the Arcimoto too expensive at $20K?? And in fact it is far more affordable to operate, with insurance at the low motorcycle rate of under $200/yr and no gas to buy. My power bill did not even notice when I started charging my new Arcimoto at home.
A billion motorcycle and scooter owners around the world all see the Arcimoto as a huge step up in comfort and safety with its roof, wrap around windshield, heated seats and safety harness.
You sound like a very unthinking and self serving person. Your 'good life' is at the expense of others and you will be remembered for that.
Problem is you pay $20k for a 3 wheel motorcycle. Expensive, even if an EV. I'd consider one around maybe $15k max, $10k would be perfect. Getting to that scale is the fun part - Tesla basically faked it until they made it.
@@sprockkets False premise. This is an autocycle selling in a market where EVs are selling for an average of $60,000 in 2023. Absolute bargain unless you are innumerate (math illiterate). Every year I save $865 on insurance by getting the autocycle rate. I have saved $1,780 in two years and that savings increases every year as rates go up. I no longer have the treat of a $3000 transmission or a $5000 engine blowing up. I now have no air bags or converter to steal.
Tesla is an abomination of waste and not a valid comparison - Each Tesla contains enough materials to make 3 or 4 FUVs! Tesla singlehandedly created a global battery mineral shortage by catering to selfish buyers who want heavy overpowered climate controlled lounge couch status symbols when they should be doing their part to live more sustainably. Teslas are driven with just one or two inside, and an empty trunk - that is the load the FUV takes while using a fraction of the energy and materials. Tesla took off because it got a $640 million government loan while Arcimoto never had such help.

As a 3-wheel vehicle, it is a motorcycle. 4 wheels means it is a car and subject to far more regulations and would have to meet crash standards that would cause the per vehicle price to be far more than double the 20K price.
