Most zoom/online meetings bore me to tears and I abhor the 'I'm just waiting a few minutes for everyone to jump on' line. For several years I have wished that sentence and action could be erased from every meeting. I am punctual and most times, early. Having some connection time before the official start of the meeting actually helps attendees become 'in tune' with timeliness especially if there are some nuggets that they have fear of missing out on. I believe that changing how we do online meetings is critical at this juncture in time. Train for thumbs up meetings before we 'condition' the world for boring, thumbs down meetings. I'm sharing this video with my Network Marketing upline, including several 7 figure earners who can share the video with their teams. Thank you for the 7 tips. Everyone of them hits the mark.

Hey There, thanks so much for commenting! I love that TH-cam allows us to be in dialogue as opposed to a purely one-way interaction! As a small thanks for connecting, here is a free sample of a new prototype “fill in the blank” style question deck we are currently working on: weand.me/2020/10/29/what-are-some-really-good-icebreaker-questions/ Happy connecting! Looking forward to seeing you in the comments section of other episodes 😊

Always great tips. I shared this with my colleague Ruth who is facilitating virtual sessions for women business owners instead of in person sessions now.

Love all of this- seems like such a no-brain to bring visuals to the teaching and the mood, but we don't do it often enough. I especially like the idea of being intentional with the first and last experiences of the meeting. Thanks very much!!!

Ha! YES! The only type of fluff I like is marsh-mellowy and goes on a sandwich. Glad you found value in the video. I share daily/weekly videos on the channel and I try to only create content I would be interested in watching. Every video title is an exact question that somebody has asked verbatim. And I try to give the answer justice always in less than 5-12 minutes.

Chad. This is soooo good and helpful. Love bringing the live objects you use the SURPRISE effect here..I even think if you send them to break out rooms or if they are watching a screen share, when they come back you can surprise them with a hat, the nose, a visual something that will make them smile.. This is SO WELL PRESENTED.. Clean, to the point (you dont make us waste time).. will pass on to many friends.

I've extracted some of your suggestions and will be using in a webinar on Dec. Breathe, Break and Resist: New Realities in the World of Informatics sponsored by HIMMS - IT healthcare folks. Description: How are you managing stress and prioritizing your mental health due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic? More than ever before, the global workforce has become “digital” post COVID-19. This live event will focus on the new abnormal reality of living in the informatics/digital world and beyond as we all seek to prioritize the mental health of ourselves and those around us. Together, we will learn how to increase the awareness of mental health needs and priorities, discuss strategies for improving our “digital” work-life balance and share how to create a digital divide assessment for employees. THANK YOU
