The endgame PVE in current NW is M3 dungeons. Mutated dungeons. All dungeons get mutated and it cycles which ones are mutated every week. There's a fair bit of variation. There's also competition for clear times and high scores but most people don't bother with that. M3 dungeons drop a max of 700 GS items and probably still do after the expansion so they will all become mid-end game content and there will not be much reason to do them anymore. You can do M1's to get the artifacts.
@@EmmaEquinox its more Amazon makes nothing from the game after people buy it, unless people decide to buy microtransactions(they all look bad). playstation will constantly gain sub fees from the ps players to play the game, thus earning more money over time than amazon will
Most people interested in mmo's will likely already havea PSN. They are very likely be playing games like Diablo 4, perhaps destiny 2, warframe and/or other mmos. Some of them are interested in competitive pvp games and might also play Overwatch and Call of Duty. They most likely have a background in pc mmo's like World of Warcraft or play MMO's like Final Fantasy or ESO on playstation. The type of PS5 gamer that does not have a PSN subscription most likely is interested mostly or exclusively in single player games like Baldurs Gate 3 and will most likely to be looking forward to Dragon Age 3 and similar games. They are most probably not interested in playing games like Throne of Liberty or New World Aeturnum. I therefore don't think that playstation will make a lot of extra money on New World unless the game becomes a break out success like World of Warcraft once became and thus convince an entire generation of single players to dive into an MMO.
I put 800 hours in New World back when it came out, so far I have put 30 hours in Throne and Liberty and to me, the game is miles a head of what New World tried to be. During the open world PVP events that spawn occasionally, and the massive amounts of skill effects on the screen there is no rubber banding from my perspective whether that is a solo fight or 15 people taking a group out.
When I played New World at launch, I knew it would go the same way as GW2, which was quite lacking in endgame content at launch, but it had good systems to build upon. The only question was would New World last long enough to become appealing. Only now, 10+ years later has GW2 finally have enough content and refined it's systems for new players to enjoy the game long enough that they get distracted by other games before reaching end of the content, so they leave with a positive impression.
All I got from this was there is a new extraction full PVP zone with the best supplies and you will be targeted by 10 console users with muskets and auto-lock on if you dare to even try to extract.
dude, i get the frustration with NW.. i have also been with it since luanch.. but, alott of what u are saying isnt true anymore. i think u havent played NW for quite awhile. And also didnt try the beta. of course im hoping that alot of the fixes in the new game doesnt mean that there are now other issues, like usually the case with AGS. But if u liked the og idea of NW, i really think u shud guve the freshstart servers a go on oct 15! specially since it seems like u havent played for a long time. yes i do still agree with alot u said, and i also wish amazon had used the time and rss for content and overall endgame concept, instead of redoing the leveling and MSQ (which are linds the smallest parts of the game, i did it in days). but at least there is new content now, and if the servers are popping with console playas as well, and the servers now can run very well with 4k pop etc (even wars on the beta had improved performance) no more rubberbanding, even when in high pop areas etc. maybe then, and with a huge influx of new playas, NW will finally start to be the game it shud have been 3 years ago, when they launched it too early.. lets hope/cope.. btw., i cant stand seeing the NW dev team, and scott and lydia, without feeling an anger in me, i so wanna punch scotts face lol. i think u havent even exp all the bull we have been fed over the years now ha
I totally disagree that if they wanted to make it better they would have doubled down on pc. I think they wanted to eventually put it on console from the beginning and when they player base dropped abruptly and never really came back in massive numbers they pitched this plan to Amazon like 2 years ago and that's the only reason it wasn't shut down in 2022. If the console launch goes well and they decide to give it a real development budget they will start pumping out good sized end game patches each season.
u kinda invaluate the few true things u siad, with all the stuff u are saying that is just wrong or outdated.. and then u do this "if its like this" and proceed to give a negative take.. but then dont even check if its like that or not..(and in most cases it wasnt/isnt) i get it bro.. NW and AGS are like a toxic GF, and u still hanging around keeping an eye on it, even tho u know she bad..lol

funniest thing to think about, you need a psn subscription to play new world on ps5, playstation will make more money of new world than amazon
Eh, I dunno if the crossover between people already having a PSN, and people getting PSN just for this, is really gonna be all that much.

Musket isn't hitscan anymore. I'm not saying there's no problems with target lock, but that's a massive difference.

p2w aspect ruins it for me
the target lock was on pc, you can see the keybinds of pc during those parts

New world should have dynamic world leveling. Basic creatures should level with you.
Server sizes are now 4500, but that aimlock trash is also on pc and pretty much put my whole friend group off the game completely

I'm not. I'm actually genuinely impressed by it and wish I had it in me to be more like him.
