In Failguard instead of learning upon their numerous mistakes, they decided to keep all of them and also take away control from us over our teammates. Like, I really don't understand why they' thought that a person who really liked combat system in first 2 games would enjoy this... thing.

11:09 when you start the story, the oldest Sylvari have only been alive for 25 years, most of them less than that, that is why they have a simple almost overly positive mind. It's also why they really have no culture of their own, and not a lot is known about them like natural life expectancy.

Never had thoughts like that for GW2 story tbh, even Zaithan fight, even IBS. However, MSQ of FFXIV is absolutely that way. It’s physically painful to watch another hour cutscene about Alphenaud having immense pain and suffering from hitting his pinky toe or something like that.
