Stark difference between agencies in how they treat their vtubers even as a guest. Nijisanji is basically survival of the fittest while Phase treat theirs with utmost respect.
Not sure about “utmost” but they definitely treat them with far more of it and dignity too. More of a family with lots of roasts.

niji is publicly traded, phase and vs are both private. niji has to maximize shareholder value :p every single penny saved is what makes em the bucks. some companies provide snacks for meetings... others dont even hand out water... really depends on the managers and expense policies.

When we get stories like this it reveals more about sakana's character, when he paid for artist tables it was more public and obvious PR move, Mint did not have to share this so its more of a private interaction and stuff behind closed door is way more telling of how a person is.

My bet on Kotoka is that she'll be doing JP-dominant streams. She'll try to follow Meloco's steps because realistically that's the fan base to appeal to grow with.

That’s just it after the initial drama it could have gone away if they had stoped shooting themselves in the foot but then they challenged the community and tried to gaslight. That lead to a push back and the contract leaked which caused Niji to overreact and start a witch hunt including harassing artists who had a do not contact order on the company to get harassed by Niji lawyers, this actually happened and I caused more shit to fall on them. Since the termination Niji has just been making bad decision and they keep making everything worse.

@@dragb9284 obviously it isn't a one for one, but the point that is shared between them is a number of people will ignorantly overlook issues they perceive do not affect them directly. Fact is, there is still an unreasonable number of people supporting Niji EN.
The Japan branch is almost completely untouched by the EN drama, despite it still being overlooked and managed directly by Niji main headquarters. It's a sad truth that some people just don't care what happens to other livers and will still keep throwing their money at Niji EN regardless.

It could be, honestly I wouldn't be too surprised as it feels a bit like the ceo just wants people to play her already excising lore characters (technically nothing wrong with that in and of itself, but if you're too harsh it might be a bit too limiting). Either way it could also be a case of a small corpo not being able to help her grow bigger. She's by far the biggest one and if it doesn't pay enough for her to get where she wants in life then maybe she wants to go back to being indie and take her audience with her.
I don't really view Riifu leaving as a red flag, it seems more like a general disagreement between her and the ceo and there's a whole bunch of stories floating around and not a whole lot of fact.
Kiki on the other hand was a bit weird.
I don't think Eien is going to last tbh, their second gen had a pretty solid number when debuting, but it hasn't grown a whole lot after that. Eien also doesn't really fill any niche. Originally it seemed like they were supposed to be a bit more of an adult agency. With more freedom for the talents to be lewd or simply not being seiso. But that never really went anywhere and ironically enough Vallure is filling that niche for them. They just don't really have a focus or a brand.
How anyone can listen to how Niji operates (corporation), and still stomach supporting them is baffling.

It's hard to break from a fandom you're already in, and a lot of people either rationalize it or just don't care because they just like the show, or the community.
It really hurts when they tell such storys it makes me hate Riku Tazumi even more becaurse he didn't treat them withh respect and dignity.
Niji is just a rent-seeking shell pretending to be what the other agencies are. I fully expect someone there to see this and decide that buying donuts for the office once a month will "fix the problem." Talent can have some (one) if they're visiting the office.

To be fair most of Nijisanji staff and managers have been pointed out to be $7 an hour Intern Highschool and College kids running shit "hands on" rather then being supervised and trained for their work credit like A-Chans assistant in Hololive
Hololive staff,on the other hand are Adults and foodie as are the Hololive girls coming into the studios so there is always
a pot luck buffet going on there and things like Karone accidently ordering 12 cases of 24 bags of popcorn from Amazon and leaving 11 of the cases at the Studio to share with everyone else,(Did anyone say they would miss A-Chans baked goods she used to bring in come to think of it?🤔)
I got pissed off at Nijisanji before the whole Selen situation for two reasons major reasons, and Kotoka is one of them:
1. The lie that "anyone can join" - every single Nijisanji member had a relatively sizeable following before joining (either a few thousand to a dozen thousand, and up to 400k subscribers in Vox's case); so no, you can't just apply and get in that's a lie - you need to have been streaming for several months at least
2. The amount of JP talents they have is massive, and the EN talents can essentially be worldwide, but instead of choosing people who would actually speak English they put 2 JP persons in the same generation, because of favoritism towards JP even in the EN branch
I was glad for Kotoka and Meloco, but they should not have signed up for EN (I get that Meloco was on an exchange program so she has no other choice because you have to be in JP to sign up for JP) or rather Nijisanji should not have accepted them
And now we see how Kotoka just used EN to get in as JP. Comes back after 6 months and speaks more JP than English. I personally like the language and study it in my free time so I understood a bit of what she was saying, but I think it's very disrespectful to any EN fans - especially since she wasn't translating just saying "I spoke about this" - and the people who were trying to get into EN but couldn't because she hijacked their spot.
So I don't feel any sympathy for her whatsoever. If her mental health issues were brought upon by her business in Niji, they are well-deserved. Especially what with how she backstabbed Zaion.
Isn't that fine for her though? She's doing what she can to get into a space that she's dreamed of, I respect that. Niji pumps out new talents non-stop so their business practices aren't exactly moral either
This is mental. Like people don't lie when searching for a job. It's even recommended to lie. Yes, it sucks, but that's reality. I completely agree that it should have been someone who would stream 80% (at least) in English. I could understand that you'd be disappointed in her. But to actually wish her ill because of Niji doing a bad job selecting is psychotic. People like you are probably one of the reasons why she even had to take a 6 month break.

I think the way kotoka could comfortably speak Japanese without excluding others is to speak with a translation (a good example is oga who speaks Japanese but has an English translation subtitle as he goes) which could solve people getting upset cuz they like watching her but they don’t understand the language…

00:45 If the desk is too low or the chair is too high, there are ways to take care of. Computer chairs usually have some sort of mechanism (usually a lever under the seat) that unlocks the height, if you put weight it it goes down, without weight it goes up. And if she doesn't got an adjustable chair, then would be worth looking into getting some strong boxes or books or whatever to raise her keyboard, screen etc to a comfortable level.
So does it really count of Kotoka being on a break? She would make appearances/ do collabs on other channel but she just hasnt streamed on her own channel

But honestly the Kurosanji CEO and management being stingy to buy some food, for 3 girls that are recording for hours, is the least of their problems. Don't get me wrong, Riku is a prick for doing that, I still think taking away the one-in-a-lifetime opportunity (possibly a MGS collab) was way worse.
I also want to say based Yagoo, for allowing todays Mint + Kiara collab, as Yagoo should know who Mint is as well. So allowing this could hinder some collabs between Kurosanji and Hololive/-stars in the future.

I still have livers at Niji that I support and watch....one of them being Kotoka so I'm glad to see her back. That said, hearing what Mint said just makes me sad for them. I mean, like I said in the comments of the Rainbow Retirees clip, in the last four months Mint has received better treatment from TWO companies that she was never a part of than she did from the company she literally worked for for 3 years. That's just wild.

Nothing she could say would appease those people. At this point it's just people hoping for another scandal in Niji. I'm not below laughing at Niji, nor do I watch Kotoka, but this just feels like a witch-hunt based on assumptions. It's also hypocrite for anti-niji people to go after Kotoka. Because they are just as bad as niji. Neither cares for the actual person's wellbeing behind the vtuber, and both use them as tools for their own goals.
Even if she was involved. I doubt anyone would actually want to believe that she might have made an innocent mistake. At the moment no vtuber in Niji enjoys the benefit of the doubt, one misstep and they'll get destroyed. It's not a nice position to be in, for anyone.
