"Basically, the reason why I wanted to go with this artist as my 'new' mama is because I really wanted to make them proud of me as one of their newer vtuber children. Because I felt that I wasn't really able to in the past, and I didn't really have a lot to give to them in the past to show my efforts, or accomplish much, or even be a good vtuber child.
And I really wanted to accomplish so much more, and have them see all these sponsors, and merch that we'll be getting in the future with their design to make up for not having much in the past or being sort of a little bit of a disappointment... so that's why I really wanted to go with them as my mama, because I wanted to like make up for everything. and I really really love all the stuff they've done, and they've always been super super duper supportive and I just really want to make them proud of me."

"Happy End"? No my friend, the story isn't over. The chapter of Selen may be finished, but the story of this vtuber is not. We've made it through the exposition and passed the turning point where the protagonist sets out on their journey. Doki still has many chapters ahead of her, so look forward to the rest of her journey.

Reminder, this girl was schizo even back then that another holomem overlapping her stream, she became angry and ranted to her fans on her PL, Cover just did a good job managing her till the firing.
It's 2 years later that her marital affairs, slander accusation of dv on different sites of her ex-husband, her suing everyone including random people for petty things, she even dragged Delutaya in it that the general population started distancing themselves from her and her lolcow behavior, all of it is of her own doing.

I think the biggest chad move she can make right now is actually get herself into Apex as a playable character. Her reveal already included gameplay of it, and she’s been a big name online recently, so it’s perfect.
Now. I can definitely understand the tweet being a final PSA to not use her name as ammunition against Niji haters and Niji itself. I’ve seen the animation, and while it DOES admittedly feel satisfying knowing that her two biggest backstabbers are getting what they deserved, it IS in poor taste to try and depict her as someone who rubs it in to those who wronged her in the past.
I can enjoy the animation while also knowing that yes, it’s wrong. It’s a cold satisfaction that exists over a buildup of hatred for Niji and their actions, but at the same time, Doki also faced a buildup of stress and harassment that led to her almost taking her own life.
I’m just glad she’s recovered and doing way better than what Riku and his crappy company could ever be.
That or having the actual game with the dragoons being made into a real parody game

Honestly I feel like Vtubing as a whole sans Niji is going through a small renaissance right. Indies as a whole are absolutely THRIVING right now, the algorithm keeps recommending me so many new and incredibly talented individuals both big and small, I feel like there are networking efforts going on behind the scenes that are helping small creators get out there more and get their own spotlights. Meanwhile on the corpo side, despite some unfortunate circumstances, Holo keepa trucking as strong as ever, with even Stars EN seeming to have gained a solid foothold after their shaky first years, Vshojo seems to have cleaned up their game and are absolutely playing to their strengths, Phase is stepping into the big leagues as their talents keep showing how fun, unhinged and endearing they are. Idol seems to be getting their shit together, too. Other small corpos are being appreciated for their skilled talents and production values.
I'm guessing Niji imploding was a wake-up call for a lot of people in the Vtubing sphere that were settling into a quiet, safe status quo last year. Corpos realized they weren't immune, that they had to show that they had standards and avoid stagnating into mediocrity. And audiences finally realized corpos aren't the end-all, that a streamer is just as special whether a big company backs them or they're on their own.
All in all, I think we're in for some good times in the near future.

To be honest, she is an exception. A lot of indies however good they are still remained relatively unknown and not get much popularity and funding to begin starting big projects.
The best F you Dokibird shows to Nijisanji is to succeed without them. She's really demonstrating that an agency needs to provide something in order to be worthwhile.
Her success shows the failings of agencies, inspires people that they can recover from even their darkest moments, and exposes people for who they really are in how they react to her.

I can't believe it hasn't even been six months and Doki has already taken back everything that is rightfully hers, and is so far and away ahead of where she was a year ago. I love her model and I think the reveal is the BEST VTuber reveal to date, hands down, but I will admit I'm gonna miss Retro Doki. I know she said we'll still see her, but I know it'll be less and less as time goes by. I freaking love that model and its accompanying artwork, and I hope it returns someday with an updated model. Seriously, I can't imagine how much that model and trailer cost, or how long it took to create. Good for her, and much love toward Doki.

Doki's an optimistic workaholic, and for a person like her, being successful is the only middle finger she needs to give Niji, and being negative or dwelling on the past would only waste time and bring down her mood. She wants to move on with her life and not let Niji define her, and wants people to think of her as "Dokibird" rather than "Selen Tatsuki". Not just for branding purposes (Doki's a sharp businesswoman, let's not forget that), but for her own IRL sake as well.
And yet, her "supporters" do nothing but bring up Nijisanji for 4+ months.

I 100% support Doki not wanting the past being brought up during her streams, but that doesn't mean Niji shouldn't be forced to change from their evil business practices. I get this vibe from a few people about F Niji when it comes to Doki's successes. I would like to reflect on her statement, though, which partly says, "I just want to focus on being happy. I'm not here to spread negativity...." I don't at all get the impression that Doki want to f Niji. Instead, I see it as someone who lost a great deal and is now reclaiming it, and yet is doing so without bitterness. I don't get to watch her regularly, but the streams I've seen and the messages I've seen all point to her finally getting back what makes her happy and then some.
She wanted to come back to prove to herself that she was still her and that Kurosanji couldn't take away that from her, and finally reclaimed that part of herself that Niji took and some interest. Doki got sniped from the skies continuously and told that she'd never fly as high as she once did and she said 'Bet'. Now her wings are back, scars and all and Kurosanji can Cope, Seethe, and Mald. Success really is the best revenge and Doki is getting a lot of that.
