Oh yeah. The plane irons in Magnacut are absolutely killer!! I did a batch of those once and probably will again as long as I can get the materials. Magnacut just showed up yesterday and the scrapers are getting made as we speak!

Great video! Couple of questions: is that an Eclipse (clone) honing guide? Any mods/tweaks to it? I've been struggling to consistently turn a burr freehand on my 'nicer' steel tools ie A2, PM-V11, MagnaCut. It's either so small I can't see/feel it, or just not there. Maybe an issue with my freehand technique - but I don't seem to have any issue with less 'exotic' steels (old Stanley, etc.) With a honing guide (Veritas MkII) I can pull a burr pretty easily even on the fancy stuff. I've seen/heard a lot of people say A2 doesn't get a burr like O1... but you obviously don't have any issue. Thoughts? And lastly, do you have a video anywhere showing your freehand honing technique? Thanks!
