Thank you 4lifesponge! Nice of you to watch and to offer support by way of comment. Much appreciated. There are so many people on TH-cam; it's hard to get peoples' attention. I do appreciate the views I get. I hope all is well for you these days. - Glenn
Another favourite of mine Glenn, America produced some brilliant tunes. Performed perfectly by yourself. Excellent start to the day for me. Look after yourself Glenn
Thank you Brendan! Nice to know you are still out there listening -- much appreciated! I'm pleased that you felt this came out okay. I hope you are well, Brendan. Take care -- Glenn
That was a beautiful performance in all aspects, Mr. Glenn. That's simply one of the great all-time tunes. I especially love your old Guild 12-string, and you are on the money with all the parts on every instruments and also vocally. Thanks for making these videos, and it's very cool that you include the chords for anyone interested in picking along--Tim.
Thank you Tim! I'm glad you like the addition of the chords. It takes a little more effort, but if it helps people, I am very glad to make this information available. And thank you for listening and for your kind comments. Much appreciated. Be well out there and enjoy the holidays! - Glenn
It's well worth the effort to include the chords. If I had had something like this when I was younger, I would be a much cooler guitar player nowadays, lol. Plus, the fact that you illustrate the chords as you play through them is absolutely invaluable. You're the best, Glenn.
Wonderful. Another seminal song by such a great artist. Superlative guitar work and I love your harmonies. Such a pleasure listening. You perform so many songs that are my favorites. I guess these are songs from our generation. Thank you for continuing to provide so much good energy to all of us that appreciate what you do!
Thank you Clark -- How nice of you! I really appreciate your kind, encouraging comments here very much. I did enjoy figuring out this 1975 #1 hit; it was fun. And the harmonies were fun, too. George Martin was the producer on this song and Geoff Emerick was the engineer, both who worked closely with the Beatles, so I think that's partly why the vocals on this original song were so strong. So I enjoyed figuring all that out and trying to duplicate the effect. I hope all is well for you Clark. Enjoy the holidays! - Glenn
@@glennwillow5124Wow, I did not know those facts. Thanks for sharing them. It all makes sense and really resonates now that you have helped provide this valuable additional context. Thank you!!
Very professionally executed and the little top corner chord shapes ... wish I had all your skills ... but I haven't the patience or heaps of knowledge ... I just dive in and give it a go then got to re-learn it all each time ... lol ... by the way did you also have a crack at the bass and drums ...???... anyway smashing singing, keep on rocking ... cheers
Thank you for your time in watching and in providing your comments! Much appreciated. I also did the bass and programmed the drum track -- I am not a drummer. I hope all is well for you. - Glenn
Hi Moosehead! It's great to hear from you! You've been a great correspondent over the years! I hope all is well for you and that you enjoy the holiday season! Thanks for taking time to watch and comment! Greatly appreciated! - Glenn
Hi Glenn. Flute player 86 here. How are you? Haven't talk to you for a while. Things are going well. Beautifully done. I'm working on some thing for Christmas for church. I'm a little nervous, but I think I'll do OK. Do you have a favorite Christmas hymn or Carol that you like to play? One of my favorite pieces to play on the flute that sounds absolutely gorgeous is It Came Upon a Midnight Clear. My mom has to have surgery on 22 December. Keep her in your prayers if you would.
Hi Amanda, It's good to hear from you. Thanks for listening. I'm sorry about the need for surgery for your mom; I will keep her in my prayers and you, as well. I think you will do fine on the flute for Christmas. I like most Christmas carols; it's a lovely time of year. You take care, - Glenn
Jeez. This cover deserves millions of more views. Absolutely fantastic!!! 🙌 thank you 🙏
