- This site is The Factory in Manchester. It is built on the site of the ITV Soap Opera Coronation Street.
The land was acquired after filming for "Corrie" was moved to Salford Quays.
This facility is a performance/exhibition space with many different configurations of the whole space being available to artists and performers.
Although I wasn't on site for a long period of time I did enjoy the job.
Manchester is an incredible city. I've always been unappreciative of it's weather but the place is brilliant.

Good stuff again Tony 💪 ive had it last week where 2 parallel cables both lined up perfectly, cable Jesus was in a good mood that day!
How sad am I- got you in the background whilst filling out an EICR. An inspiration my man.
Hahahahaha brilliant stuff.
👌🏻, happy new year mate all the best for 2024
15:35 ... the original 300lbs gorilla, nice one AvE, we found him! 😂
I’m a lighting programmer and there’s a good chance I’ll be using that power at some point in the next 10 years.
Worked on Granada studio tours when I was a apprentice in about 87-88 pipefitter don't boo me, had to push the bottle trucks down coronation Street everyday them cobbles were a bastard!!
As always the chain pull saves the day!!
2:40 That's more like the standard setup of a stage you don't usually see 😁 There's lots of space behind the curtain to hide all the mysteries the audience is not yet to see 😅
No wonder you have a new Van Pal as Salford Quays makes vehicles disappear by Magic
They could have at least fixed the panels down for you. Done some rockin
Apparently they were "getting round to it"!! I bet they're still not fixed.
@@jointechcabling9103 we aren’t allowed to gland anything until it’s been fixed and pull tested. But every site differs in their operations.
Not much scrap on that one Tony
You would think they would make the top of
Cabinets easy to take off, or use panels that can be inserted 16:09
Regarding the comments about the cabinet not being fixed to floor I suspect that is on purpose to give them wriggle room when man handling the cable into place
I’m a 16 years and counting cable tech in BC Canada.
I’m just curious the average cost of running one of those cables. I almost went into electrical but ended up in data and then cable. Helped an electrical team once when I was doing data run some of that big cable into an electrical room at the top of a commercial high rise in downtown Vancouver.
Enjoying your content 👍
They are quite expensive to buy and install. As for the exact cost I don't know because I don't buy any materials, I only supply labour to connect them. Usually there's a gang of 4-5 people to pull them from A to B. Then there's the cost of buying the bloody big thing, I wouldn't know where to start.
I've been to Vancouver it was a lovely clean place as I remember. We went downtown and then to the big park on the waterfront. It was 27 years ago though.
These not fixed to the floor ? 17:03
Tony have you seen the bull bars the Americans use to bend big conductors??? Do you think this type of thing would help you??
I've seen them. I don't need them yet as I've still got a little bit of strength left. I might think about them when I start to struggle.
14:34 😍🤑
Constipation Street
That cabinet at 14mins need properly fixing to the floor/wall
Terrible isn't it. I asked the question but got little in the way of a reply
@@jointechcabling9103 They're probably hoping the cables keep it in place 🙄
