There's always some cool place to hit! ;-) I'll mix it up more on the next vid, too.

The idea of abanico is a quick reverse half strike. And most arnis master can show.you a fancy quick multiple abanico. Deadly art if you can apply it perfectly.

Yep, they're great stuff. I show fairly slowly in this basics video so people can see. Abaniko just means fan - it can be a half strike, or a all the way through or a 360 degree change (as in pilantik).

You can make more power of striking if you move your hips

Absolutely - syempre naman! I cover that in another video in which I make my circles much bigger (th-cam.com/video/PhJGRypuUX8/w-d-xo.html). I normally have rather tight hip motion coming from my internal arts training (which you can clearly see - I just watched it again to be sure). Circles will also naturally get smaller over time while at the same time growing more powerful.

You are fortunate that your son is also interested in studying with you. Don’t take that for granted I couldn’t get my son interested in this kind of broke my heart a little because we could’ve shared so much through the martial arts but he just wasn’t interested and I couldn’t forcing him
