Pac-Man 2 isnt actually a sequel because it is known as Hello! Pac-Man in Japan, so it is different. Also, The reason why Pac-in-Time is a reskin of Fury of the Furries is the Skweeks characters from the Fury of the Furries (and the Skweeks series) aren't popular outside Europe, so Kalisto approached Namco to use Pac-Man in their game and make it sell in USA and Japan. Pac in Time is also released for MS-DOS and Game Boy. The SNES port of Ms. Pac-Man is published by Willams Entertainment and developed by Tengen (SNES conversion by Digital Eclipse software).
Pac-In-Time also has an unreleased Game Gear port that has an essentially complete prototype you can download

Another interesting thing about Pac-Man 2: The SNES version has Ms. Pac-Man in the arcade while the Genesis version has some other, exclusive game in its place. I want to say it's Jr. Pac-Man or something, but I've never played that version.
Personally, I feel that Pac-Man 2 is the best of these 4. It's just so entertaining to play, pissing off Pac-man and finding all the ways you can fuck him over. Always good for a laugh.
That being said, I could probably write a strategy guide with everything I know about the game.

Pac-Man 2 is one of my favorite games ever. It's definitely weird, and it may not be for everybody, but there's just something about it that clicks with me. I have all sorts of memories playing the shit out of that game as a kid.

Playing Pac Man 2 at a babysitters apartment one night is one of my earliest and most vivid memories. I spent years looking for the game only to find it a couple years back. I haven't had a chance to replay it, but just seeing it here brings me back to that moment in time. Chamber of Reflection by Mac DeMarco always transports me to that night with the blue glow of the TV and the carpet as thick as grass. It's such a weird thing to remember out of all the memories I could have kept instead.

Pac-Man 2 was one of my favorite SNES games as a kid. It was also funny as hell at times, like when you shoot the hot dog stand vendor and he squirts a bottle of ketchup in Pac-Man's face or when you go into the instrument store (while Pac-Man is angry) and tap the drums, causing Pac-Man to break the drums with his fists and then get yelled at by the store clerk. There are so many other utterly hilarious moments, but I don't want to give any more away. For those of you who haven't played it, just check it out and see for yourself. Chances are, you are going to be laughing A LOT!

I forgot all about The New Adventures. I used to rent it from Blockbuster all the time back in the day. It was super difficult figuring out what you had to do to progress but there was a nice sense of accomplishment once you did figure it out.

Thanks to this video, I actually gave _Pac-In-Time_ a try...and I really liked it. The rope item is finicky for sure, but practising with it on early stages can really help out. The game is what I'd expect more or less from a 16-bit Pac-Man platformer.
Pac Man Championship (if I remember correctly) for PS3 was the absolute best mix of classic PM with updated mechanics. Might even be the best (gulp) PM game of all time. You gotta try that one out.
I love Pac-Man 2. I like point and click games in general, but Pac-Man 2 is so unique and original. There's nothing quite like it.

I would avoid the Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance versions of Pac-Attack/Pac-Panic because the Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance versions of Pac-Attack/Pac-Panic do not have 2-player modes. I would also get Ms. Pac-Man for the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis/Sega Mega Drive as well.

I played Pac Attack a hell of a lot of time with my friend. I can definitely recommend it to any Match Block Puzzle game fan.
I guess years of being chased by and being forced to consume ghosts has made Pacman skittish and mentally unstable.

No it’s not. Pac-Land from 1984 was, but Pac-Man 2 (which came out 10 YEARS later) was not.
Lets Have A Discussion Seeing as how it has Chomp-Chomp, a character originating from the cartoon, I think it’s safe to say that the cartoon had a pretty big influence on the Pac-Man series. And I’d say that’s a good thing, seeing as how we got masterpieces like Pac-Man World 2.

I never played any of them as ak kid I seen the cartridge at a local flee market or other places they have Pac Man 2 and Pac In Time but never got a chance to play any of them until now. Pac Man 2 is so random just point and click things with the slingshot plus this should be made for like a PC. Pac In Time well sorta cool but longest game of all just to collect all pallets and others, it plays very well with all the stuff you need to move on each level I really like the rope thing it's helpful to get through stages fast. The other games Pac-Attack and Ms. Pac-Man? Those two games I already played as a kid when Namco Museum but realized that version for Pac-Attack is a Genesis version I thought it was some sort of like they only port on Super Nintendo which at the time I only grew up with Super Nintendo not the Genesis. So yeah these games are great but Pac-Attack is one of my favorites and very addicting puzzle game I even played the Puzzle Mode which almost close to 100 level but stuff in 73 or 74 it was getting harder and harder. Still the best game I ever played. Ms. Pac Man oh yeah that is more fun my mom got me into it and tried to get the highest score but takes lot of times to avoid ghosts and eat more pallets in the game.
All of the Ms. Pac Man games are no good from the perspective of arcade junkies because the play is always significantly slowed down. In the arcade Ms. Pac Man becomes more like a football simulator once you get good at it, as you're now completely reliant on faking and juking out the ghost at top speeds during later levels.
I had Pac-Man 2 for Genesis. I picked it out of the blue because of its funny cover but I had NO idea what I was getting. It's so surreal seeing others who actually played this game XD

Pac-Man 2 was very difficult as a kid. I'd pop it in every now and then, but, would usually get frustrated.
One time I do remember figuring things out, and getting very far. I can't remember if I finished the game or not.
Maybe I'll give it another go soon and see if I can't finish it now.

I LOVE Pac-Man 2 / Hello Pacman. Maybe because I was the perfect age to remember the old Pacman cartoon feom the 80's but was still young enough to appreciate a "kiddie" game when it eventually came out in the 90's. I've always wanted to see a 100 percent guide to Hello Pacman since the game tracks your percentage of "things" you've found but doesn't make it apparent how much everything counts since it only displays whole numbers and most thing contribute a percentage of a percentage.
SNES Ms PAC-Man is the best version period. Tons of different mazes and two players can play *at the same time*

Yeah I think your issues with Pac-Attack were just a "you problem". I had that game growing up as, I think, the one and only game my parents ever bought me (a classic case of "clueless parents choosing what they think looks most harmless for their kid" syndrome, it's NOT something I'd ever have bought myself) and I played it a fair bit because I didn't have that many games to choose from at the time, but not THAT much because honestly it isn't all that great. But I still got pretty good at it, and watching that game footage made me cringe because, no offence, you were AWFUL at it. Then again, it does take a bit of practice and, unlike 10-year old me, you have way too many other games to be spending your time on to bother getting good at it- I think at the time the only other SNES game I had was the packed-in version of Super Mario All-Stars.

'Point and click mood-management' games were an underrepresented genre in the 8 and 16 bit eras. They're a dime a dozen now, with all the 'Super Happy Mario Brothers' and 'Call of Duty Melancholy Warfare' clones out there.
That rope mechanic from Pac-In-Time reminds me sooooo much of the ninja rope in "Worms: Armageddon" :D

It's always really annoyed me that Fury of the Furries got turned in to a Pac-Man game rather than a straight port for the SNES, especially as each of the Furries is a colour of one of the European/Japanese controller face buttons. Would like to have heard SNES renditions of the music too.

It's kind of funny you mentioned Pac-Land as a Mario style sidescroller, since Pac-Land predates SMB by a year (in fact the latter directly influenced the former).

I rented pack attack and I really like the soundtrack on the super Nintendo version because when you get the cancan that song when you're running on the time the super Nintendo has really good no pending capabilities that I discovered in the game and also Pac-Man too I thought I heard Pac-Man say Darcy blows
There was a time when I was a kid that my father got fucking addicted to pacman (the nes Version one), he was playing sometimes until 3 in the night like crazy beating up highscores and even dreaming about pacman, so crazy
Pac-Attack is a fun game, my mom got me a copy back in the day and she even used to play it with me and she got pretty good at it too for a non gamer. Its big limitation was that its not very intuitive to pick up and play, its similar to Tetris but you have to plan your ghosts so Pac man has a route to snake through and get as many ghosts in one sweep as possible and you have to pay attention to the direction he is facing when his piece drops as that is the direction he will travel in once the piece is placed so that combined with its fast pace its the kind of game you will repeatedly fail at till you figure out the mechanics and because of that it was not a game that many of my friends enjoyed. Once your friends do get the hang of it you can have a blast clearing ghosts off your screen and watching them dump onto the other players screen like in other similar games it can get highly completive and fun 2 player experience.
Someone needs to make a rom hack (or whatever the proper name is) and combine PAC IN TIME & TURTLES IN TIME.
I borrowed Pac Man the new Adventures from my cousin and i played the crap out of it. Took a while to figure out things because the game is bizarre but i beat it and enjoyed it

The SNES game is not a reskin of Fury of the Furries, the DOS version was.
this has similarities but it is by no means a reskin. I had Fury of the Furries and Pac in Time for DOS as a kid, I know them well. I also played the SNES one a great deal.
Pac In Time reminds me of Umihara Kawase with its rope mechanic, gotta take a look at it.
If you play Pac-Man 2 with a 1.5x overclock it's the same exact game but 1.5x better
I have fond memories of playing Pac Man 2 as a kid and having no idea what to do. I mostly just pissed Pac Man off all the time.
They created the original Pac-Man games, then just bought out other games and re-skined them to be Pac-Man.

Oh man I had so much fun trying to see what would happen to Pac-Man in Pac-Man 2. Crazy hot dog vendors, Pac-Man pops some balloons, then the vendor gets mad and fills you full of air, crazy cats, Pac-Man breaks a drum set in a dept store and gets yelled at. Pac-Man eats a weird fruit and gets either high or sad, Angry cow, and angry Ms Pac-Man.
You forgot to mention to was also on the Sega Genesis.
You made a little mistake with Pac-In-Time.
Every version EXCEPT the one for SNES is a reskin of Fury Of The Furries. The SNES version has the same mechanics but totally different levels.
The SNES port of Ms. Pac-Man is my favorite because of the extra levels and simulltaneous 2-player.

I thought it was just your older videos because you were newer at making videos, but I can’t help but notice that your voice audio seems to get louder at points and quieter at others. Ever since I noticed, it’s hard to ignore. I’m not familiar with making videos and proper audio control. I have no solution, but I do know that it is distracting. I love your content and I look forward to all the great content in the future.
Maybe the wavy audio levels are just part of the whole drunk thing and I’m looking too far into it. It’s like you’re moving your mouth further from and closer to the mic

When I was a kid I had the zsnes emulator on my pc and it came with a Pac-man game and I can't find it anywhere. It was the classic pacman but remastered with more boards and music :((( In some levels it would play a christmas song.
