    More JJOSXL vids plz! I have a 2500 with it and this workflow has been the most inspiring/ motivating one for me out of all the hardware/software I’ve used b4 (mpc 2000xl, Maschine, SP404s). I just got it last year and have learned it enuf to have a pretty smooth flow, but I’m sure there’s more to learn. Still reviewing older vids out here on utube too.

    This is so useful, i had no idea how to get to these functions, i've just been relying on playing stuff in the way i want. Thanks a lot for this and would love to have more videos about JJOS2XL. I'm a pretty new MPC1000 user but i really love it, so much to discover in there :) Cheers

    As someone who's owned a 1000 basically since they came out, I think the most underrated feature of it is the list edit(I think it's called step edit). It's very tracker-esque and allows you to sequence very quickly and easy. Definitely worth having a look into.

    This is why JJOS XL is so good, it shits on the MPC Live and One for sequencing in my opinion.

      I have been surprised how good it is. I’m loving the workflow on the 1000 at the moment and I’ll be interested to see how it feels when I boot up the One again.

      @@nervouscooks yeah you're videos have made me miss my sold 1000 I need to look for one now. I admit the one is better still because you can do so much more, but I wish the piano roll and step was like jjosxl. It's a pita using touch

      I wish they made an MPC 1000 looking just like the old one with JJOSXL, but with modern connectivity and power

      @@BrancoArgenta amen, I be happy with that but doubt akai will do that. I bought a mpc keys 37 which I sold because I just think the sequencer and touch suck.

      @@nervouscooks hey mate, something I've not spent a lot of time with but would like to get your take on is the pattern function. You can create a bank of, say, drum patterns you use often, and then either assign them to be triggered with a pad or write it to the sequence you have.

    Well... I feel stupid. Totally avoided this screen for months. Always went for list edit instead. Got so used to the Live and the One that the 2500 felt too "square" and "unorganic". Those new MPC's really spoil us

    Great i didnt know you can zoom in on the grid, so helpful!.....If just hit main button it will take you to the grid edit screen.

    • @nervouscooks
      @nervouscooks  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@HellcatTheSavage thanks for the tip, you can set this to whatever you like which I only just discovered after you mentioned it. Press main then any pad and it will switch to that screen when you press main. Handy for setting up a shortcut to your fave screens. Same with the numeric key. Go into mode-other pad 10 and where it says num.key f5 set it to mode change. Then you can do the same as above and set two extra screens you use the most to the numeric key! Shortcut city 👍👍
