Super Perfect Cell is maybe a low low level SSJ2 level. Gohan was at half power when he beat Cell. Had Gohan still had full Ki when Cell returned, he would have still beat Cell relatively easily. Dabura is hard to rate. Goku, seems to think they are prolly pretty similar. However, Cell has regeneration hax and other stuff. It's a hard question to answer.
I think its downplaying cell saying gohan would beat him easily cell in the manga as perfect cell didnt go down by ssj2 gohan attacks even though he was taking alot of damage and only got humiliated when he went into that buff form and super perfect cell said his power is almost as strong as gohan and if gohan was way more powerful than cell then he would have easy been faster than cell's blast or tanked it ion see it an excuse honestly and cell still had his hax Gohan was stronger but not by alot.

You have to remember that Cell has all the abilities of nearly all the fighters we had seen so far. If he’s pushed into a corner I’m sure he would resort to some of the Z fighters’ techniques like solar flare, kaioken, or cloning.
This statement is just flat out wrong. Cell has the cells of Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Frieza, and King Cold confirmed and canon by the manga. He also MIGHT (but probably doesnt) have the Cells of Tien and Krillen (and some other earthly fighters only), as this was stated in the English dub specifically (and only there) and there is debatable evidence in the anime only to support it, such as Cell using a techniques that Tien is famous for, albeit Piccolo also knows Multiform; and the Destructo Disc is Krillen's signature move. HOWEVER, use of those techniques DOES NOT indicate they are from their cells, but rather Cell has learned them, as multiple beings have been shown being able to use multiple techniques in general; ones like them or those same techniques. ALSO, these techniques used by Cell are anime only aka Filler... They were not used by him in the manga. So, if you're someone who subscribes to the notion that Manga>Anime, this is a losing battle for you this time. Edit: fixed grammar.
Piccilo and Krillin can use the multi form technique too just like Tien The former two did so against Nappa It’s just the form decreases your overall power by half for each clone you make so why it’s not good to use against a stronger opponent or someone on your level
Another question, if Guru unlocked Gohan's hidden potential during the Namek arc, then did Gohan's potential go dormant again thereby requiring the Elder Kai to unlock it again?
The manga is the true dragonball experience. The anime is amazing but the manga flows perfectly for the most part and gets to the point. The 5 minutes namek meme is because of anime filler. The fight seems way faster in the manga for example. The art is very consistent as well. There are color versions of the first two dbz arcs that are great too. Not sure about the rest of the series having color.

Thank you! I've been saying all this FOR YEARS. Too many Cell fans out here trying to twist the facts to prop up Cell. A few things I want to add on your excellent video: 1. Cell fought so well against the Z fighter because he was specifically designed to defeat them. He knew all of their techniques and how to best use them. He literally never fought anyone else (save for the android, which he also knew everything about). 2. Dabura is an ancient veteran fighter. His experience is literally thousands of years worth of fighting. He has more than likely seen beings similar to Cell considering Cell is a combination of beings from the mortal plane, which Dabura is well versed with. He knows about Ki usage. He knows about magic. He knows about different races of being, Humans, Saiyans, Namekian, which is basically what Cell is. (Whether he knew what Frieza's race is, is fairly debatable). 3. Dabura never went all out against Gohan, as you mentioned. But even him dodging the blast Gohan did against Buu's shell doesn't mean anything. If it does, then characters dodging Ki blast in general can be used as an argument to show they're weaker than who's attacking, which is stupid. Why tank a shot when you can dodge it? Just doesn't make sense. A good example of this is the Saiyan Saga. Raditz vs Piccolo and Goku. Raditz is beyond a doubt superior to them both, even combined..... Although they were capble of hurting and killing Raditz in the long run, to argue that he was weaker because he dodged attacks would be insane to argue. Edit: Beyond that, in that moment, he was saving Babidi's life, who wasn't going to do anything but stand there and be vaporized.
The question is, how strong Dabura was pre-Majin boost? Kaioshin seemed to be afraid of him even without Babidi's control but still I'd say Cell would have an edge. Dabura (pre-Majin) should be around Full Power Cell (before exploding) considering Goku freaked out when he powered up and Kaioshin is compared to that same Goku in some guidebooks.

Dabura has to be one of the most arrogant villains ever and it doesn't bode well that he doesn't have a complete grasp on how strong the Saiyan trio is. That doesn't speak to him being on par with the SSJ2 power.
I think perfect Cell takes it. Dabura has his stone spit, but Cell can lob off a limb or any part of his body that's spit on so long as his 'core' isn't affected. His regen isn't infinite, but he did regenerate from near atomization via self destruction. The moment Cell figures out the stone spit, he'll just do his best to dodge. If we want to give Cell powerup via zenkai boosts, his odds are even better. Cell has the techniques of the Z-Fighters, he's got the evolution factor. Dabura might have some magical hacks we don't know about, but I don't see many win cons for the Demon King. It just depends on how Cell reacts to being spit on
You don't know what you're talking about..... Cell had no idea what Zenkai boost was or is. That was something the Z fighters learned about in space and ONLY then. Gero's computer couldn't know specifically the details or how it works, because the drone wasn't there. Heck, it even missed A LOT of information when they got back to earth. He does not get zenkai boost in a normal way, as if he did, being hit by Vegeta's Final Flash and Goku's Instant Kamehameha would have given him one as they were mortal wounds. And they did not. Cell ONLY got it from attempting to kill himself which IS NOT how Zenkai works, as stated by Vegeta (self inflicting wounds does not cause it). His recombinant genetic code or gero's computer's work resulted in it working this way specifically. So relying on Zekai boost to win is totally out of the question for Cell entirely..... I mean, he doesn't even know if he COULD self-destruct again and come back from it. Literally none of us do. It's a huge gamble to risk. For all we know, it was a one time deal... Also, just like many others, you have a fundamental misunderstanding on how Dabura's spit works. When it lands of the skin, the entire body starts to change instantly. This is CLEARLY seen with Piccolo and Krillen. Gohan's got it on his glove, which is why he himself did not turn to stone. Cell wouldn't even have reaction time to "lob off his head". And even if he did, having to regenerate his entire body would drain a MASSIVE amount of energy from him... Lastly, Dabura is a well versed fighter. I think many forget that he's the king of the demon realm THROUGH FORCE aka he fought his way to the top and remains there. His experience is battle is beyond Cell's by leagues. Cell was made specifically to combat the Z fighters, and has been proven VERY ineffective when encountering something he has no prior knowledge about, such as SSJ, or Ki techniques he has never seen before. And he certainly has ZERO experience with magic.... or even fighters that use weapons. Not to mention Cell is WAAAAAAAY more prideful and arrogant than Dabura by a country mile. He VERY much overestimates himself/is very overconfident. Dabura can be cocky, but he is also extremely rational and will quickly correct himself if he's ever wrong (as he did with Buu, something he is famously remembered for by fans for warning Babidi about). Not to mention, still to this day, we've never seen Dabura go all out. He still held back in the anime, and in the Manga, he didn't even break a sweat. Literally called Gohan trash after fighting him....I don't think he was being overconfident there at all.....As we've established, he is cocky but rational....
It was interesting to me despite being under Babidi’s influence, Dabura was able to keep rational thought and debate his master on how dangerous Buu was He only underestimated Buu at the start (just like Gohan did) beceuse Buu didn’t power up. Base state, Buu can be a weakling (as Goku and Vegeta at their full powers weren’t impressed at first either, meaning Buu before powering up was weaker than a ssj2), but can power up suddenly and very fast, as Gohan instantly went from tryna fight him to running away. Dabura found out too late too once his eyes got poked but understood as well Buu was not weakling
@@TheMissingLink2 The only reason this is even a debate is because Goku compares the two directly. More specifically a statement that Debora is as strong as Cell. Goku then later saying he's stronger than initially thought, therefore he should be above Cell. I don't think this applies to SPC, because the Gohan that fought Cell is not only more powerful than the Gohan fighting Debora, but Gohan was countering all of Debora's hacks/tactics. This same Gohan is weaker than the Gohan from the Cell Saga due to not having the rage behind his power. Goku even notes Gohan would need the rage to return to his prime and Vegeta just simply says he isn't the same as when he was a child. There is an argument for Gohan getting strong in the Buu saga after Kabito healed him. People will go as far as to say this applies to Teen Gohan and means Adult Buu Saga Gohan after being healed by Kabito > SSJ2 Gohan. But the statement is so vague and can be interpreted in many ways instead of just saying "He's stronger than his teen self" because Vegeta still says he's trash compared to his teen self after this. So that argument doesn't hold water and at best means he's just stronger than he was at the start of the Buu saga who can combat Debora in a "high-diff' fight when apparently he's meditating and powering up beforehand. And Debora's statement about being confident about being able to fight Goku and Vegeta doesn't work, because 1: Gohan was still doing decent against him anyway and 2: Debora was down to fight Majin Buu, so his confidence literally means nothing. What you don't understand is feats > statements.
You can say Gohan was weakened when defeating Cell, but he gets power amps from Goku stated multiple times. (Vol. 35/ Chapter 415 for source.) Cell was legit beating Gohan until Gohan caught him by surprise thanks to Vegeta attacking him. It is also stated in the daizenshuu. (This is the manga stating this, not a character.) That SPC is the strongest being at this time, including SSJ2 Gohan. And to back this up even more, Cell bullies Grade 4 Gohan in terms of full power and Gohan cannot beat him in any way without his rage boost or SSJ2. Even when semi enraged in SSJ, Cell is letting Gohan hit him and Cell is still not taking any damage. After the self-destruct and reformation, Cell states he got a powerup similar to that of SSJ2 Gohan. This makes sense, because Cell does have Saiyain cells in him and it's already a debate to say if Cell can even go SSJ or not. So to say that SPC is a relative amp to that of SSJ2 doesn't contradict anything, because pre SSJ2 amp, Cell was already above Gohan and now it's still the same, just them in SSJ2. So let me make this easy for you. That means Cell scales above a Gohan who's stronger than himself at the start of the Buu Saga that's relative to Debora. Cell > SSJ2 Teen Gohan > Starting Buu Saga Gohan >~< Deborah, so Cell is mopping the floor with Deborah. So let me reiterate my original comment. THE STONE SPIT IS DEBORA's ONLY WIN CONDITION. You claim "The entire body starts to change instantly" But unfortunately for the manga here, we don't know how much time passes in between panels. Any other medium depicts the characters with a few seconds to say gross before the petrification happens. Any interactions between the two after that is head-cannon at best. Cell still has the versatility advantage and can regenerate from almost anything, he needs atomized to be stopped. I like Debora, his character design is sick and he has one of the more interesting movesets of anyone in DBZ we've seen, I wish we got more of him, which from the looks of it, Toriyama is finally giving the man some much needed screen time. Unfortunately, he gets destroyed as is and gets sidelined for Majin Buu.
The only way I see Dabura winning is if he spammed his spit and even then he would have to be fast enough to effectively hit Cell, however, Cell would have to have the reaction speed to evade him.
@@ilyas_elouchihi Regeneration is still a small drain on Cell’s Ki. Although I don’t think Dabura lands more than one spit in that fight once Cell figured out what’s going on.

I think it would largely come down to their personalities. Cell has shown a weakness for playing around too much with his opponents. I am not sure if Dabura would do the same? He has shown he is ready to catch opponents off guard and go for the spit right off the bat. I agree that Cell wouldn't be prepared for that. Cell would also potentially drastically underestimate Dabura.
You must be kidding me. His regeneration ability alone and the fact that he knows all the techniques the other fighters use is something puts the Z fighters at a greater disadvantage compared to Dabura.
The work you put in is literally all I ever wish I could, but don't have the time nor the energy to put in the effort. Thanks for being so deeply passionate about Dragon Ball and bringing up such spectacular moments that goes unoticed by so many people, while analyzing perfectly everything that wonders the fanbase for so long.
What a lot of people don't seem to think about is that when bobbidi controls someone he makes them stronger, like spopovich or vegeta, and although dabura is already a demonic being in the first place, he would probably get stronger too. So if cell became majin as well he would get an increase in power. Of course that probably wouldn't make a difference
As a logical fan of dragonball I'm glad to see Dabura win this comparison. Dabura is in my opinion is one of the better designed villians from the DragonBall universe.
If he figured out how to do that safely after the 1st time he could just spam the move , even if the explosion doesnt hurt Dabura enough Zenkai boosts would give Cell the win

I would love to see if dabura's flame would cauterize cell during an attempted regeneration of a limb (can't see dabura surviving a self-destruct if the fight gets that far) Keep up the entertaining videos and polls LSM 👍

I'd say that from a writers perspective full powered Majin Dabura was always meant to be as powerful as the strongest version of dbz-Cell. So it would come down to techniques and hax abilities. Yes, Dabura has his spit. But don't forget Cell has every technique of any Z fighter stored in his DNA. I would say that gives Super perfect Cell the edge.
But the problem is that perfect cell is extremely cocky and loves to toy around with his opponents, dabura is more serious than Cell,even if Cell's regeneration would allow him to resist his spit stone abilities, let's not forget that powerful attacks can overwhelm Perfect cell's stamina and since the more he regenerates it takes a toll on his stamina (and i think his regeneration slows down when he's low on stamina), and if dabura slows down cells regeneration and exhausts him of his stamina then he could potentially either turn cell into stone or just destroy him by destroying all of his cells

Pretty sure that would one-shot him if it hits. So Cell has one shot options too. And his move would actually work on Dabura since he has no regeneration. Cell also has Saiyan DNA. He can grow stronger during a fight like he did against Gohan. Other than that he can breathe in space, knows the Kamehameha, can multiply himself. Lets not bring up a possible Kaio Ken that he actually should know but never used for some reason 😂. Cell just has way more options than Dabura.

alot of fans online still believe that dabura is only on par with supressed perfect or regular perfect cell. Its a shame that toriyama never clarified in the manga/anime that goku's statement was about SPC.
I think Cell would take the W against Dabura just cause he is able to adjust and adapt ,chances are Cell would come back in a more powered up form maybe similar to Super Sayian 3 just a theory though
IMO depends totally on if Cell knows beforehand about Dabura's spit. Dabura gets a cheap shot in on that and it's over. If Cell knows to look out for that that gets different pretty quickly.
For Goku to reference a suppressed version of Perfect Cell means that it's even more pathetic that Gohan couldn't do more damage to him. Also Goku wants his son to get mad like he did as a child in order to bring forth more power. That wouldn't be needed because Dabura is trash tier even when compared to a suppressed PC.
the manga is way too open-ended and vague. storyline wise, it makes more sense for dabura = spc. but alot of fans are convinced dabura is only suppressed cell level or even lower. i've always believed that goku was referring to the last form of cell we all saw, which was spc. gohan v dabura is basically gohan v cell (round2), except gohan cant beat him since he's weaker since cellsaga.
Dabura as a plot device served to show that Cell level of power wasn't nothing anymore and for him to be weaker would make no sense, also he can create weapons and an armed fighter have more advantage than an unarmed one, specially in this case that both have almost the same power level.
Not to mention, people seemingly forget that Cell was designed SPECIFICALLY to counter the Z-fighters. He has ZERO experience or knowledge with anyone else or any type of opponent that wasn't on earth. Dabura, on the other hand is the strongest being in the demon realm, who has fought for literally thousands of years against various opponents (not to mention knowledge of beings in the mortal realm).

exactly. its a plothole that toriyama made, and the manga is far too vague and confusing. makes 0 sense for goku to compare dabura to semiperfect or suppressed perfect cell. dabura was used as a measuring stick to compare from the previous saga to show how much stronger the villains are now.
@kiz5562 Dabura is meant as a character to be as strong as the most powerful version of the previous main villain, which was Super Perfect Cell. So that when the new big bad of the new arc Majin Buu flicks Dabura aside like he was nothing, it is to show just how much more powerful the new main villain is compared to the last.
So even a tired exhausted Gohan can destroy a solar system with half his ki and one arm, and Cell can go much further than that and was still holding back? Is Cell saying he can destroy an entire system with the ki he had charged up just right there in that moment, or theoretically with all his total energy reserves if he spent it all traveling all day from planet to planet blasting everything? ... What if Dabura applied spit to his fists?

Since him and Demigra are potentially the same species of demon, does dude have a monster form that could straight demolish his opponents and warp space-time? There's a lot of wasted potential with Dabura. Should've pulled a Darkseid from DC and explained that the (stereotype lookin ass) demon lord that battled Gohan was one of his "weaker" avatars.

I think I just realized that when Gohan defeated Sel, like the actual, literal moment, he may have blasted him with power on in some way relative Ultimate Gohan.... Being that is IS his Unleashed full potential and remembering how he went form PL of I think 13,000 (and rising) being his last known stat to harming 1,000,000+ Freeza So if I'm right about that then measuring either of them against Gohan wouldn't help at all
I agree with Dabura winning. Even if they're about equal powerlevel wise, they do both have options to win. Cell could potentially use solar flare to blind Dabura and the shoot a kienzan or special beam cannon, and he does have regeneration. But depending on the damage regeneration can take a bit, wich leaves him completely open to Dabura's stone spit, and I think Dabura's flame spit could potentially completely obliterate Cell too, if not damaging him enough for regeneration to take a while, thus leaving him open. Considering Cell took a while to regenerate losing his upper body to Goku, a sword hit could potentially do the same, once again leaving Cell's regenerating body open to stone spit.
That isn't Super Perfect Cell. Super Perfect Cell would have EASILY tanked Goku's point blank full power Instant Transmission Kamehameha without needing to regenerate a single body part. Another very stupid DBZ fan who proves he doesn't actually watch the show or understand it properly and is using their own head canon to make stuff up.
They're about equal in terms of power so it forms down to abilities. If Dabura can land a spit attack, he could win unless Cell counteracts the stone by immediately severing what was spat on and regrowing it with his regeneration. If Cell is able to do that then I'd give the edge to him. He has a massive arsenal at his disposable including the aforementioned regeneration.
One thing about Cell’s regeneration is that it does lower his power level so against an opponent of relative strength it might lead to Cell being at a disadvantage power wise post regeneration.
If Cell successfully avoids being turned to stone, Dabura won't get a second chance because Cell can just speed blitz him and finish the fight being privy to the danger his spit poses.
Cell is a tier above dabura lol. Dabura is not spc level. Had gohan gone ss2 in the fight with dabura. Dabura would've lost against buu arc gohan with mid to high difficulty.

I think the spit technique while it might catch Cell off guard, I don't really think it would end him. Gohan was able to rip off his glove in response to the spit, so it obviously doesn't immediately just begin to stone whoever's effected immediately. It also doesn't seem like an attack that can just be used very effectively for combat when it's known about. King Kai's ability to sense others and talk to them, hasn't been shown that the user he is letting communicate with can sense energy levels. But it's probably a moot point, and Toriyama was probably referring to Super Perfect Cell anyways. Just wanted to point that out. In all honesty I'd say they are very extremely relative to each other in terms of power. Dabura could be slightly stronger, or slightly weaker. Dabura could even be stronger initially and as the fight drags on Cell powers up some due to his saiyan genes. But honestly Cell's techniques are superior to Dabura's by a long shot. Solar Flare, Instant Transmission, Tail Suckage, Massive Regeneration, A self destruct that doesn't kill Cell, Frieza and Krillin's Discs of slicey pizza. 17's ki barrier. Multiple versions of powerful Energy attacks. A super Strong Jaw Line to top it off. Almost all of Dabura's techniques that were shown wouldn't be all that effective against Cell other than the spit. So if I'm being honest...I'd give the win to Cell over all.
Gohan had already seen Dabura use his spit technique used prior, not to mention he blocked it with his glove. Moreover Supreme Kai literally yelled at him to warn him about the danger which he had already forgotten about..... Cell doesn't stand a chance.

The anime version was better since the all Z fighters came to help Gohan but still stupid how they did it, instead of attacking Cell from behind they should have helped Gohan by shooting their best techniques together with Gohan´s Kamehameha
If sensing power levels was possible by putting your hand on King Kai's shoulder, then Piccolo should not have been surprised at Frieza's power level after being wished to planet Namek (and this was before Frieza's first transformation). Piccolo specifically tells Gohan he can beat Frieza, which, if he was wrong, would risk the same loss of Earth's Dragon Balls again. Ergo, Goku didn't sense Super Perfect Cell's power level but was giving SSJ2 Gohan motivation talk.
He wasn't just giving Ssj2 Gohan motivation talk. He explicitly knew and stated that Gohan was not using his full power. This is Toriyama we are talking about here, who has no problem giving Goku special abilities. Don't forget all the shit Goku has done in the past like being able to sense people's intentions. And also Toriyama isn't going to purposely confuse readers that Goku's is inaccurately gauging Cell's power levels. Because why the heck is Toriyama going to intentionally confuse people? It should be clear he is referring to Cell's most powerful form.
One thing that is worth noting, is that Cell was distracted by Vegeta, when Gohan overpowered him in their final struggle. If Injured SSJ2 Gohan was still way above him, I don't think he would've needed to exploit that distraction to win. Personally, I think your selling Cell a bit short in terms of power.
When they went into the ship, the way that Goku and Vegeta won tells me they massively out powered Babadi’s henchmen. I always assumed Goku and Vegeta were just reaching and surpassing ss2 teen Gohan. I always assumed Adult Gohan was weaker until the Z Sword put him back in shape. DBM is fan fiction...unlike DBS where Future Trunks fought Dabura. He never slacked off like Gohan and he trained with Supreme Kai. The fight wasn't easy and their was no mention of Future Dabura being weaker like the Androids.
Been watching you for years and this is the first time I’ve commented. I hold your opinions on dragon ball to a very high standard because you’ve shown in every video your vast knowledge of the series. It’s just sad to see that even with a 28 minutes video giving ample evidence to show that Dabura has the upper hand and would very likely beat Super Perfect Cell if it came down to a 1v1, you still have people saying “uhhhhh idk I still say Cell has the edge on Dabura” 💀
Great analysis! Although, it always bothers me in these hypothetical matchups, “who would win” or “Death Battle” suggests there’s a clear winner…. but Vegeta and Goku have fought many times…. Hulk and Wolverine fought many times…. Superman raced the Flash many times, etc, and the results depend on many factors, circumstances, and most importantly what the writer is going for. So these comparisons always seem two-dimensional and omit the fact that these duels are in the context of a greater story that involves fate hanging in the balance. Nevertheless, you investigated thoroughly and made a fantastic video, my money would be on Dabura if it came down to it, keep up the good work!
The gap between Perfect Cell and kid Ssj2 Gohan (full power) is ambiguous. Remember, Gohan got in the Kamehameha clash with Super Perfect Cell when he had only half his power left. Both Dabura and Super Perfect Cell are somewhere between Perfect Cell and kid Ssj2 Gohan full power. Good video btw.

Just a small detail: the reason Krillin’s hand started turning to stone too is because if you look at the panel just before, he is wiping the spit off his face with the back of his hand, meaning he got it on his hand.

This is one of the few flaws with Dragonball, whenever Goku & company reach new heights, they'll meet new foot soldiers on par with the previous *Final* boss' power, which is fine for powerlevel progression but kinda lame for that previous character. I don't mind more central villains being far stronger but Dabra being on par with Cell makes Cell seem like the next Freiza or Raditz.
Whether Dabura or Cell is stronger, they're relative to each other. Who exactly is stronger doesn't matter, because Dabura wins by turning Cell to stone. Cell's most broken feature, his regeneration, is utterly useless against being turned to stone. Cell can't just regenerate instantly; it takes time. More than enough time for Dabura to also turn the rest of the body to stone, assuming Cell is able to rip off the stoned part in time in the first place.
Dabura wouldn’t initially know of cell’s regeneration, possibly depending on how the fight goes. Once cell regenerates, it’s unlikely dabura will be able to pull it off again

Toriyama stated in a interview that Beerus was the "villain" that sealed Old Kaioshin in the Zsword instead of destroying the Kaioshin Realm, which is said to be 1/10th the size of the universe. So 93 billion light years is the diameter of the observable universe and 1/10th of that, is 9.3 billion, with those numbers the Kaioshin Realm at bare minimum can hold around 90,000 milky way galaxies. Can you verify that? Edit: forgot to add that Elder Kaioshin states that Beerus was weaker or not as bad as Majin Buu (Fat) so yeah...

The real question is do we know if Dabura's spit has a limit, we know that alot of the one shot moves stop working on higher power leveled characters, some not working at all on certain characters for other reasons too.
The limit is that it is presumably relatively slow, if it doesn't hit the head Cell just rips off or blasts away the affected part and regrows the lost part and with Cell even hitting the head isn't as likely to work because he can survive blasting his own head off if he notices the effect soon enough.

Krillin hand started turning into stone even tho it wasn't touched initially by the spit because when the spit hit his face he tried to wipe it off with the same hand you can see where he attempted so in the panel luv the channel tho
Another thing to mention, in dragonball Super (I hate it but here's a point). Trunks fights Dabura when he comes to earth and gets his shit kicked in. This is important because Future Trunks NEVER stopped training, and was the 3rd strongest Saiyan during the Cell saga. It took him training with the Supreme Kai (and his unlocked potential), as Gohan did, to have the strength to defeat him.

Cell has the edge cause of the access to a variety of techniques along with the know-how in martial art fundamentals from experts like the Saiyans and Piccolo

I think Cell would win though if he had previous knowledge of Dabra's techniques, you made a good point about the fantasy arch that frfr he wouldn't even know to rip his head off arguably. I also think its a possiblity that Dabra wouldn't know to fully destroy Cell's core. He would probably end up turning him to stone, tipping him over and calling it a day, not knowing Cells core may still be intact. Goku does say that Dabura was about equal with SPC but I think cell had a few other things going for him. Regen being a major and with the cells of other warriors probably having more moves in his arsenal

When in Z? I could see Krillin winning just after Namek given how incredibly much Krillin improved over that time. Ten takes it from the time the Androids arrives to the end of Z because he trains way harder over the 3 year and especially 7 year gaps.

Super Perfect Cell is maybe a low low level SSJ2 level. Gohan was at half power when he beat Cell. Had Gohan still had full Ki when Cell returned, he would have still beat Cell relatively easily. Dabura is hard to rate. Goku, seems to think they are prolly pretty similar. However, Cell has regeneration hax and other stuff. It's a hard question to answer.
I think its downplaying cell saying gohan would beat him easily cell in the manga as perfect cell didnt go down by ssj2 gohan attacks even though he was taking alot of damage and only got humiliated when he went into that buff form and super perfect cell said his power is almost as strong as gohan and if gohan was way more powerful than cell then he would have easy been faster than cell's blast or tanked it ion see it an excuse honestly and cell still had his hax Gohan was stronger but not by alot.

You have to remember that Cell has all the abilities of nearly all the fighters we had seen so far. If he’s pushed into a corner I’m sure he would resort to some of the Z fighters’ techniques like solar flare, kaioken, or cloning.

This statement is just flat out wrong. Cell has the cells of Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Frieza, and King Cold confirmed and canon by the manga.
He also MIGHT (but probably doesnt) have the Cells of Tien and Krillen (and some other earthly fighters only), as this was stated in the English dub specifically (and only there) and there is debatable evidence in the anime only to support it, such as Cell using a techniques that Tien is famous for, albeit Piccolo also knows Multiform; and the Destructo Disc is Krillen's signature move.
HOWEVER, use of those techniques DOES NOT indicate they are from their cells, but rather Cell has learned them, as multiple beings have been shown being able to use multiple techniques in general; ones like them or those same techniques.
ALSO, these techniques used by Cell are anime only aka Filler... They were not used by him in the manga. So, if you're someone who subscribes to the notion that Manga>Anime, this is a losing battle for you this time.

The manga is the true dragonball experience. The anime is amazing but the manga flows perfectly for the most part and gets to the point. The 5 minutes namek meme is because of anime filler. The fight seems way faster in the manga for example. The art is very consistent as well. There are color versions of the first two dbz arcs that are great too. Not sure about the rest of the series having color.

I've been saying all this FOR YEARS. Too many Cell fans out here trying to twist the facts to prop up Cell. A few things I want to add on your excellent video:
1. Cell fought so well against the Z fighter because he was specifically designed to defeat them. He knew all of their techniques and how to best use them. He literally never fought anyone else (save for the android, which he also knew everything about).
2. Dabura is an ancient veteran fighter. His experience is literally thousands of years worth of fighting. He has more than likely seen beings similar to Cell considering Cell is a combination of beings from the mortal plane, which Dabura is well versed with. He knows about Ki usage. He knows about magic. He knows about different races of being, Humans, Saiyans, Namekian, which is basically what Cell is. (Whether he knew what Frieza's race is, is fairly debatable).
3. Dabura never went all out against Gohan, as you mentioned. But even him dodging the blast Gohan did against Buu's shell doesn't mean anything. If it does, then characters dodging Ki blast in general can be used as an argument to show they're weaker than who's attacking, which is stupid. Why tank a shot when you can dodge it? Just doesn't make sense.
A good example of this is the Saiyan Saga. Raditz vs Piccolo and Goku. Raditz is beyond a doubt superior to them both, even combined..... Although they were capble of hurting and killing Raditz in the long run, to argue that he was weaker because he dodged attacks would be insane to argue.
Edit: Beyond that, in that moment, he was saving Babidi's life, who wasn't going to do anything but stand there and be vaporized.

The question is, how strong Dabura was pre-Majin boost? Kaioshin seemed to be afraid of him even without Babidi's control but still I'd say Cell would have an edge. Dabura (pre-Majin) should be around Full Power Cell (before exploding) considering Goku freaked out when he powered up and Kaioshin is compared to that same Goku in some guidebooks.
I always believed him to be stronger than cell and on ssj2 cell arc Gohan level.

I think perfect Cell takes it. Dabura has his stone spit, but Cell can lob off a limb or any part of his body that's spit on so long as his 'core' isn't affected. His regen isn't infinite, but he did regenerate from near atomization via self destruction. The moment Cell figures out the stone spit, he'll just do his best to dodge. If we want to give Cell powerup via zenkai boosts, his odds are even better. Cell has the techniques of the Z-Fighters, he's got the evolution factor. Dabura might have some magical hacks we don't know about, but I don't see many win cons for the Demon King. It just depends on how Cell reacts to being spit on
You don't know what you're talking about.....
Cell had no idea what Zenkai boost was or is. That was something the Z fighters learned about in space and ONLY then. Gero's computer couldn't know specifically the details or how it works, because the drone wasn't there. Heck, it even missed A LOT of information when they got back to earth.
He does not get zenkai boost in a normal way, as if he did, being hit by Vegeta's Final Flash and Goku's Instant Kamehameha would have given him one as they were mortal wounds. And they did not.
Cell ONLY got it from attempting to kill himself which IS NOT how Zenkai works, as stated by Vegeta (self inflicting wounds does not cause it). His recombinant genetic code or gero's computer's work resulted in it working this way specifically.
So relying on Zekai boost to win is totally out of the question for Cell entirely..... I mean, he doesn't even know if he COULD self-destruct again and come back from it. Literally none of us do. It's a huge gamble to risk. For all we know, it was a one time deal...
Also, just like many others, you have a fundamental misunderstanding on how Dabura's spit works. When it lands of the skin, the entire body starts to change instantly. This is CLEARLY seen with Piccolo and Krillen. Gohan's got it on his glove, which is why he himself did not turn to stone.
Cell wouldn't even have reaction time to "lob off his head". And even if he did, having to regenerate his entire body would drain a MASSIVE amount of energy from him...
Lastly, Dabura is a well versed fighter. I think many forget that he's the king of the demon realm THROUGH FORCE aka he fought his way to the top and remains there. His experience is battle is beyond Cell's by leagues. Cell was made specifically to combat the Z fighters, and has been proven VERY ineffective when encountering something he has no prior knowledge about, such as SSJ, or Ki techniques he has never seen before. And he certainly has ZERO experience with magic.... or even fighters that use weapons.
Not to mention Cell is WAAAAAAAY more prideful and arrogant than Dabura by a country mile. He VERY much overestimates himself/is very overconfident. Dabura can be cocky, but he is also extremely rational and will quickly correct himself if he's ever wrong (as he did with Buu, something he is famously remembered for by fans for warning Babidi about).
Not to mention, still to this day, we've never seen Dabura go all out. He still held back in the anime, and in the Manga, he didn't even break a sweat. Literally called Gohan trash after fighting him....I don't think he was being overconfident there at all.....As we've established, he is cocky but rational....

He only underestimated Buu at the start (just like Gohan did) beceuse Buu didn’t power up.
Base state, Buu can be a weakling (as Goku and Vegeta at their full powers weren’t impressed at first either, meaning Buu before powering up was weaker than a ssj2), but can power up suddenly and very fast, as Gohan instantly went from tryna fight him to running away. Dabura found out too late too once his eyes got poked but understood as well Buu was not weakling

@@TheMissingLink2 The only reason this is even a debate is because Goku compares the two directly. More specifically a statement that Debora is as strong as Cell. Goku then later saying he's stronger than initially thought, therefore he should be above Cell. I don't think this applies to SPC, because the Gohan that fought Cell is not only more powerful than the Gohan fighting Debora, but Gohan was countering all of Debora's hacks/tactics. This same Gohan is weaker than the Gohan from the Cell Saga due to not having the rage behind his power. Goku even notes Gohan would need the rage to return to his prime and Vegeta just simply says he isn't the same as when he was a child.
There is an argument for Gohan getting strong in the Buu saga after Kabito healed him. People will go as far as to say this applies to Teen Gohan and means Adult Buu Saga Gohan after being healed by Kabito > SSJ2 Gohan. But the statement is so vague and can be interpreted in many ways instead of just saying "He's stronger than his teen self" because Vegeta still says he's trash compared to his teen self after this. So that argument doesn't hold water and at best means he's just stronger than he was at the start of the Buu saga who can combat Debora in a "high-diff'
fight when apparently he's meditating and powering up beforehand. And Debora's statement about being confident about being able to fight Goku and Vegeta doesn't work, because
1: Gohan was still doing decent against him anyway and 2: Debora was down to fight Majin Buu, so his confidence literally means nothing. What you don't understand is feats > statements.
You can say Gohan was weakened when defeating Cell, but he gets power amps from Goku stated multiple times. (Vol. 35/ Chapter 415 for source.) Cell was legit beating Gohan until Gohan caught him by surprise thanks to Vegeta attacking him. It is also stated in the daizenshuu. (This is the manga stating this, not a character.) That SPC is the strongest being at this time, including SSJ2 Gohan. And to back this up even more, Cell bullies Grade 4 Gohan in terms of full power and Gohan cannot beat him in any way without his rage boost or SSJ2. Even when semi enraged in SSJ, Cell is letting Gohan hit him and Cell is still not taking any damage. After the self-destruct and reformation, Cell states he got a powerup similar to that of SSJ2 Gohan.
This makes sense, because Cell does have Saiyain cells in him and it's already a debate to say if Cell can even go SSJ or not. So to say that SPC is a relative amp to that of SSJ2 doesn't contradict anything, because pre SSJ2 amp, Cell was already above Gohan and now it's still the same, just them in SSJ2. So let me make this easy for you.
That means Cell scales above a Gohan who's stronger than himself at the start of the Buu Saga that's relative to Debora. Cell > SSJ2 Teen Gohan > Starting Buu Saga Gohan >~< Deborah, so Cell is mopping the floor with Deborah. So let me reiterate my original comment. THE STONE SPIT IS DEBORA's ONLY WIN CONDITION. You claim "The entire body starts to change instantly" But unfortunately for the manga here, we don't know how much time passes in between panels. Any other medium depicts the characters with a few seconds to say gross before the petrification happens. Any interactions between the two after that is head-cannon at best.
Cell still has the versatility advantage and can regenerate from almost anything, he needs atomized to be stopped. I like Debora, his character design is sick and he has one of the more interesting movesets of anyone in DBZ we've seen, I wish we got more of him, which from the looks of it, Toriyama is finally giving the man some much needed screen time. Unfortunately, he gets destroyed as is and gets sidelined for Majin Buu.

While it is debatable who is stronger between super perfect Cell and Dabura, I honestly think that Cell has the slight edge.
The best way I can see Cell winning is using the Solar Flare, which he uses a lot, and then uses his tail to drain Dabura’s life force.
I think it would largely come down to their personalities. Cell has shown a weakness for playing around too much with his opponents. I am not sure if Dabura would do the same? He has shown he is ready to catch opponents off guard and go for the spit right off the bat. I agree that Cell wouldn't be prepared for that. Cell would also potentially drastically underestimate Dabura.
You must be kidding me. His regeneration ability alone and the fact that he knows all the techniques the other fighters use is something puts the Z fighters at a greater disadvantage compared to Dabura.

What a lot of people don't seem to think about is that when bobbidi controls someone he makes them stronger, like spopovich or vegeta, and although dabura is already a demonic being in the first place, he would probably get stronger too.

I'd say that from a writers perspective full powered Majin Dabura was always meant to be as powerful as the strongest version of dbz-Cell. So it would come down to techniques and hax abilities. Yes, Dabura has his spit. But don't forget Cell has every technique of any Z fighter stored in his DNA. I would say that gives Super perfect Cell the edge.
But the problem is that perfect cell is extremely cocky and loves to toy around with his opponents, dabura is more serious than Cell,even if Cell's regeneration would allow him to resist his spit stone abilities, let's not forget that powerful attacks can overwhelm Perfect cell's stamina and since the more he regenerates it takes a toll on his stamina (and i think his regeneration slows down when he's low on stamina), and if dabura slows down cells regeneration and exhausts him of his stamina then he could potentially either turn cell into stone or just destroy him by destroying all of his cells

How would Dabura react to a well aimed destructo disk? Pretty sure that would one-shot him if it hits. So Cell has one shot options too. And his move would actually work on Dabura since he has no regeneration.
Cell also has Saiyan DNA. He can grow stronger during a fight like he did against Gohan.
Other than that he can breathe in space, knows the Kamehameha, can multiply himself. Lets not bring up a possible Kaio Ken that he actually should know but never used for some reason 😂.

alot of fans online still believe that dabura is only on par with supressed perfect or regular perfect cell. Its a shame that toriyama never clarified in the manga/anime that goku's statement was about SPC.

the manga is way too open-ended and vague. storyline wise, it makes more sense for dabura = spc. but alot of fans are convinced dabura is only suppressed cell level or even lower. i've always believed that goku was referring to the last form of cell we all saw, which was spc. gohan v dabura is basically gohan v cell (round2), except gohan cant beat him since he's weaker since cellsaga.
Dabura as a plot device served to show that Cell level of power wasn't nothing anymore and for him to be weaker would make no sense, also he can create weapons and an armed fighter have more advantage than an unarmed one, specially in this case that both have almost the same power level.

Even if they're about equal powerlevel wise, they do both have options to win.
Cell could potentially use solar flare to blind Dabura and the shoot a kienzan or special beam cannon, and he does have regeneration.
But depending on the damage regeneration can take a bit, wich leaves him completely open to Dabura's stone spit, and I think Dabura's flame spit could potentially completely obliterate Cell too, if not damaging him enough for regeneration to take a while, thus leaving him open.
Considering Cell took a while to regenerate losing his upper body to Goku, a sword hit could potentially do the same, once again leaving Cell's regenerating body open to stone spit.
That isn't Super Perfect Cell. Super Perfect Cell would have EASILY tanked Goku's point blank full power Instant Transmission Kamehameha without needing to regenerate a single body part. Another very stupid DBZ fan who proves he doesn't actually watch the show or understand it properly and is using their own head canon to make stuff up.

They're about equal in terms of power so it forms down to abilities. If Dabura can land a spit attack, he could win unless Cell counteracts the stone by immediately severing what was spat on and regrowing it with his regeneration. If Cell is able to do that then I'd give the edge to him. He has a massive arsenal at his disposable including the aforementioned regeneration.
I think cell could just tear off the affected area of the spit attack and regenerate. On top of that he has instant transmission.
One thing about Cell’s regeneration is that it does lower his power level so against an opponent of relative strength it might lead to Cell being at a disadvantage power wise post regeneration.
If Cell successfully avoids being turned to stone, Dabura won't get a second chance because Cell can just speed blitz him and finish the fight being privy to the danger his spit poses.

I think the spit technique while it might catch Cell off guard, I don't really think it would end him. Gohan was able to rip off his glove in response to the spit, so it obviously doesn't immediately just begin to stone whoever's effected immediately. It also doesn't seem like an attack that can just be used very effectively for combat when it's known about.
King Kai's ability to sense others and talk to them, hasn't been shown that the user he is letting communicate with can sense energy levels. But it's probably a moot point, and Toriyama was probably referring to Super Perfect Cell anyways. Just wanted to point that out.
In all honesty I'd say they are very extremely relative to each other in terms of power. Dabura could be slightly stronger, or slightly weaker. Dabura could even be stronger initially and as the fight drags on Cell powers up some due to his saiyan genes.
But honestly Cell's techniques are superior to Dabura's by a long shot. Solar Flare, Instant Transmission, Tail Suckage, Massive Regeneration, A self destruct that doesn't kill Cell, Frieza and Krillin's Discs of slicey pizza. 17's ki barrier. Multiple versions of powerful Energy attacks. A super Strong Jaw Line to top it off.
Almost all of Dabura's techniques that were shown wouldn't be all that effective against Cell other than the spit. So if I'm being honest...I'd give the win to Cell over all.
Gohan had already seen Dabura use his spit technique used prior, not to mention he blocked it with his glove. Moreover Supreme Kai literally yelled at him to warn him about the danger which he had already forgotten about..... Cell doesn't stand a chance.

If sensing power levels was possible by putting your hand on King Kai's shoulder, then Piccolo should not have been surprised at Frieza's power level after being wished to planet Namek (and this was before Frieza's first transformation). Piccolo specifically tells Gohan he can beat Frieza, which, if he was wrong, would risk the same loss of Earth's Dragon Balls again. Ergo, Goku didn't sense Super Perfect Cell's power level but was giving SSJ2 Gohan motivation talk.
He wasn't just giving Ssj2 Gohan motivation talk. He explicitly knew and stated that Gohan was not using his full power. This is Toriyama we are talking about here, who has no problem giving Goku special abilities. Don't forget all the shit Goku has done in the past like being able to sense people's intentions.
And also Toriyama isn't going to purposely confuse readers that Goku's is inaccurately gauging Cell's power levels. Because why the heck is Toriyama going to intentionally confuse people? It should be clear he is referring to Cell's most powerful form.
One thing that is worth noting, is that Cell was distracted by Vegeta, when Gohan overpowered him in their final struggle. If Injured SSJ2 Gohan was still way above him, I don't think he would've needed to exploit that distraction to win. Personally, I think your selling Cell a bit short in terms of power.
When they went into the ship, the way that Goku and Vegeta won tells me they massively out powered Babadi’s henchmen. I always assumed Goku and Vegeta were just reaching and surpassing ss2 teen Gohan.
I always assumed Adult Gohan was weaker until the Z Sword put him back in shape. So Dabura getting clapped by Super Perfect Cell.

DBM is fan fiction...unlike DBS where Future Trunks fought Dabura. He never slacked off like Gohan and he trained with Supreme Kai. The fight wasn't easy and their was no mention of Future Dabura being weaker like the Androids.

I hold your opinions on dragon ball to a very high standard because you’ve shown in every video your vast knowledge of the series. Great analysis! Although, it always bothers me in these hypothetical matchups, “who would win” or “Death Battle” suggests there’s a clear winner…. but Vegeta and Goku have fought many times…. Hulk and Wolverine fought many times…. Superman raced the Flash many times, etc, and the results depend on many factors, circumstances, and most importantly what the writer is going for. So these comparisons always seem two-dimensional and omit the fact that these duels are in the context of a greater story that involves fate hanging in the balance. Nevertheless, you investigated thoroughly and made a fantastic video, my money would be on Dabura if it came down to it, keep up the good work!
The gap between Perfect Cell and kid Ssj2 Gohan (full power) is ambiguous.
Remember, Gohan got in the Kamehameha clash with Super Perfect Cell when he had only half his power left.

This is one of the few flaws with Dragonball, whenever Goku & company reach new heights, they'll meet new foot soldiers on par with the previous *Final* boss' power, which is fine for powerlevel progression but kinda lame for that previous character. I don't mind more central villains being far stronger but Dabra being on par with Cell makes Cell seem like the next Freiza or Raditz.

Whether Dabura or Cell is stronger, they're relative to each other. Who exactly is stronger doesn't matter, because Dabura wins by turning Cell to stone.
Cell's most broken feature, his regeneration, is utterly useless against being turned to stone. Cell can't just regenerate instantly; it takes time. More than enough time for Dabura to also turn the rest of the body to stone, assuming Cell is able to rip off the stoned part in time in the first place.
Dabura wouldn’t initially know of cell’s regeneration, possibly depending on how the fight goes. Once cell regenerates, it’s unlikely dabura will be able to pull it off again

Can you make a video on if Majin Buu (Fat) and Kid Buu are galaxy level or beyond? Toriyama stated in a interview that Beerus was the "villain" that sealed Old Kaioshin in the Zsword instead of destroying the Kaioshin Realm, which is said to be 1/10th the size of the universe. So 93 billion light years is the diameter of the observable universe and 1/10th of that, is 9.3 billion, with those numbers the Kaioshin Realm at bare minimum can hold around 90,000 milky way galaxies. Can you verify that?
Edit: forgot to add that Elder Kaioshin states that Beerus was weaker or not as bad as Majin Buu (Fat) so yeah...

The real question is do we know if Dabura's spit has a limit, we know that alot of the one shot moves stop working on higher power leveled characters, some not working at all on certain characters for other reasons too.
The limit is that it is presumably relatively slow, if it doesn't hit the head Cell just rips off or blasts away the affected part and regrows the lost part and with Cell even hitting the head isn't as likely to work because he can survive blasting his own head off if he notices the effect soon enough.

These two fought in the DBZ Multiverse Tournament and it was awesome! Dabura tried turning Cell to stone and Cell just rid off his own head then regenerated.

Another thing to mention, in dragonball Super (I hate it but here's a point). Trunks fights Dabura when he comes to earth and gets his shit kicked in. This is important because Future Trunks NEVER stopped training, and was the 3rd strongest Saiyan during the Cell saga.
It took him training with the Supreme Kai (and his unlocked potential), as Gohan did, to have the strength to defeat him.
His potential did not get unlocked, and unlike future dabura, present dabura was struggling with gohan.

Yeah but reality is, all those techniques are sort of useless. Cell just used them when he was toying with goku, then he stopped using them.

great talking points, I think what youre saying holds weight and Dabra would win. I think Cell would win though if he had previous knowledge of Dabra's techniques, you made a good point about the fantasy arch that frfr he wouldn't even know to rip his head off arguably. I also think its a possiblity that Dabra wouldn't know to fully destroy Cell's core. He would probably end up turning him to stone, tipping him over and calling it a day, not knowing Cells core may still be intact. Im not sure what Cell could do if his core is not fully obliterated in such a way. I could see cell pulling some dipshit move, self destuct from the core come back jocking all of dabras techniques, lol.

Since they're roughly even, Dabura could probably just spit on Cell who wouldn't see it coming, get turned to stone and broken into pieces then vaporized. Unless Dabura spit and missed and happened to hit a lizard, Dabura is gonna win.

Goku does say that Dabura was about equal with SPC but I think cell had a few other things going for him. Regen being a major and with the cells of other warriors probably having more moves in his arsenal

When in Z? I could see Krillin winning just after Namek given how incredibly much Krillin improved over that time. Ten takes it from the time the Androids arrives to the end of Z because he trains way harder over the 3 year and especially 7 year gaps.
I like Cell as a character way more than Dabura so I’ll be cheering for him regardless

Gohan was very confident when he powered up again (before taking a blast for Vegeta) and his full power when Goku motivated him obliterated Cell’s newfound full power

What he meant, by “he got stronger after the brush with death because of his saiyan cells” meant is that every time a saiyan is defeated, they grow stronger. Remember when vegeta had krillin shoot him through the stomach on namek before facing Frieza? They get stronger with every brush with death
Super Perfect Cell was slightly weaker than SSJ2 Teen Gohan and Adult Gohan was equal to Dabura while not having trained for 7 years and without rage boost. Cell destroys.
