I've been loving the Ilia multistick in Lady Bird thrown in my socket line and even on the lower lash line. Its the perfect red/brown raisin color that makes my green eyes pop without looking done.
I totally agree about red lipstick/any bold color. It is soooo annoying to keep up. I am always drinking water or eating something or I accidentally touch my face and I am so worried that I smudged my lip product or it's on my teeth. So I thought liquid lips were the answer but they are so drying and hard to get off. So yeah, lip gloss and tinted lip balms ftw 🤭
Go for the bright red of your dreams ❤️ ever red would look amazing on you ❤️ it’ll be the only way you wear red lips for the rest of your life I’m warning you ✨
Omg thank you for the sub!! I’m back and making content! I was MIA because my wedding was a couple of weeks ago. My next video will be my wedding look and then 2021 favorites most likely will be next. Thank you for being here!
Loved seeing Your best products! I just posted mine but I am always curious what natural products other people are loving - especially if they are make up artists :)
Yes!! I did a fill ere Perez review and I had the lighter shade. I loved it thoroughly but decluttered it because it expired. Fantastic product that smells divine!
I definitely love the new one, esp for covering spots on the face. It’s just not very distinguished from other concealers in my collection, meaning, it’s a fuller coverage with a dry down finish. Whereas the old one is very unique to me, and super beautiful and special for dry skin types. I’ve also been using the new one less-and any other concealer like it-because I started using retinol and experiencing peeling. So ultra moisturizing concealers have been my staple.
Kind of random for this video but I was wondering if you think it’s possible to do a seamless makeup look with any type of foundation or tinted moisturizer? My skin is very even and clear but I wanted to enhance my cheekbones and eye area. The main reason I am asking is because I have tried every clean foundation and skin tint and none have matched my skin tone at all; they are all many shades lighter than me and in the summer I get much darker so I don’t think I’ll ever find a match and my undertones are different throughout my face so I am just wondering if you think I can have a good look without it?
I know how difficult it can be to color match, most people have different skin tones (and sometimes undertones) around their face or from their face to their neck to their body! I recommend going with a skin tint. If the colors you've picked out are too light, then purchase a deeper color. I would use two colors for you: the lighter color concentrated on the center of your face, and the darker tone around the perimeter of your face and neck! I promise some shades will work for you! You just will need to use different shades. You also can absolutely use bronzer as contour, I do that all of the time!
My favorite bronzer is the butter bronzer by westman atelier ( bit.ly/33RVlLJ ) or the fenty bronzer ( bit.ly/32ColGs )! Contouring in the most professional-sense is to chisel out your features in a subdued way, by adding a cool tone deep shade to specific areas of the face (typically your cheek bones). Bronzing is intended to add warmth to the face, which naturally contours it through spots on the face where the sun would hit (foreheads, top of cheekbones). I highly recommended using bronzer and allowing that to naturally contour the face. I personally don't like the overly-chiseled look. If I want to be slightly more defined, I will use the SMALLEST amount of cool-toned contour (by westman atelier bit.ly/3AFIyIg ) underneath my cheek bone and a little along my jaw. But that's it! It's very easy to go overboard! Hope this is helpful!
Hi Carson. Love your content. I have a medium, olive skin complexion. Can you please recommend an Ere Perez cream blush shade that will compliment my skin tone? This year my goal is to only purchase cruelty- free make-up and skin care and cleaner products. I love that Beautycounter eyeshadow palette but it’s not appearing on their site.
Hi Elizabeth! Thank you so much for watching. I think 'happy' or 'holy' ere perez cream blush shades would look gorgeous on you. If you wanted to go more muted in tone, then 'healthy' would also be fantastic. Berries and warm corals and bright reds are made for you. Here's a link to the blushes in the shades (I wish this blush weren't so hard to find online!) bit.ly/3tfoQid In terms of BC eyeshadow: you're totally right. I think it might either be discontinued (which would break my heart) or rebranded in their new logo. I hoping its the latter. If it's replaced with a new palette, I still trust their formulas and I'd get a review up asap! In the meantime, I highly recommend aether beauty palettes, 'summer solstice' is my most used palette, but go for whatever palette speaks to you. The formula is fantastic! linked here: bit.ly/3oCsijy Let me know what you decide to go for! Excited for you and your beauty journey
Can you please do a natural glass skin look for oily skin? I have about every product at Sephora but I am looking to re-haul bc I can’t get that look for the life of me. The bases don’t last. The primers don’t fill my pores. Powders don’t keep me from becoming super slippery oily. Want a concealer that doesn’t crease and counteracts blue.
So, here's the thing with glass skin for oily skin: it's a bit of an oxymoron! This is because you automatically have 'glass skin'. There are two ways to accomplish glass skin with oily skin: natural skin or full face of makeup. For natural skin: tinted SPF and then powder in the places you DON'T want glass skin (forehead, between eyebrows, chin, nasal-labial fold) will do exactly the trick. The tinted spf will have plently of glow and then your oily skin will do the rest. No need to add highlighter or anything else. For full makeup: use medium coverage foundation with moisture. Use a lightweight highlighter (saie super glowy gel is my ideal pick for all skin types, especially oily: bit.ly/2Zeu7Zu ) in the places you'd like more glow. This would be all over the cheeks ideally and not much place else. Then apply powder where you get oiliest or all over, depending on how long you'll be wearing the makeup and what the purpose is. And there you have it! Glass skin for oil. If you're trying to prevent oil at all costs, and need long wearing foundation, you're not going to get that natural 'glass skin' effect. It's not possible because it contradicts the definition of glass skin. BUT if you want to glow with a full coverage and longwear face, I recommend checking out Jackie Aina's videos because this is her specialty! I hope this is helpful. Thanks for watching!
I started grad school and it’s been increasingly more difficult to record and edit videos, however, I just recorded a full face of westman atelier and can’t wait to get it up! Thank you for your kind words ✨
@@commedecarson Best of luck to you! I’m planning to buy some Ilia products from their annual sale. I don’t own any Ilia products, but you and thecleanbeautycode highly recommend the the brand. I just went back and watched some of your Ilia videos.
Hey Carson, can the ilia liquid light serum be used on moisturized skin without a foundation or skin tint? Or does it have to be applied over foundation?
Hi Nafeesah! It can be used anyway you want to. I LOVE it on bare/moisturized skin with concealer. Or mixed with foundation. Or on top/underneath foundation. However you want to do it will work out beautifully ✨
I've been asked this before, and it's really difficult! It's more about focusing the glow where you want it, and doing everything you can to stay matte/natural everywhere else.

That Uoma concealer looks so good 😍 And the Ilia mascara is one of my faves too!
If you know any super moisturizing, medium-full coverage concealers that manage to also not stay tacky, please hit me up 🙏🏻
i can’t believe i just found your channel!! i hope you do a 2021 favs for makeup and skincare if you’re still making content. 😇

Is ilia still your favorite liquid highlighter?
Teehee freaking knew you’d like the Fitglow lip serum. I’m just over here trying to ruin my friends’ wallets 😂
HA! But honestly, I get it now.
