I still am in shock. I've been in this cynical state where I was convinced I was never gonna get what I want for the last decade. Nintendo has officially won me over 100%.

TTYD fans who knew it was TTYD when the book appeared along with the music playing in the background are real ones! I nearly cried when I saw the book, God I hated everything from sticker star and onward....

I am literally crying when they announced they will be bringing TTYD to switch. The game is so good that it always embedded to my brain, the moment the book appeared along with the music, i already knew it will be TTYD and was screaming all over place.
TTYD will be 2024 GOTY, mark my words.

I cried as well paper Mario the thousand year door was my childhood on the Nintendo GameCube and a bit of my Nintendo Wii days and seeing it remade for the Nintendo switch definitely made me cry tears of joy as well.👍🏻🥰🥹

TTYD may be a top tier game, but a remake will never even be in the running for GotY lmao. I'm excited too, but we do still want to encourage good new games
I was literally in the middle of my Game Development Theory class lecture when I first saw this (the Direct itself started about half an hour before class), and it took me EVERYTHING I HAD to prevent myself from yelling out with joy. That didn’t stop me from smiling VERY PROUDLY, nodding my head happily, tapping my foot to the nostalgic music, and rocking back and forth in my seat, because the simple fact that Nintendo even remembers Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door AT ALL makes me REALLY, REALLY HAPPY! Has it seriously been almost 20 years since I first laid hands on the original game at my local McDonald’s as a kid (and about 7 years since I finally beat the original game for the very first time)? Welp, no wonder I remember the game's intro music and title theme so well…

@@kennymichaelalanya7134 What are you on about? This game even supports the woke culture with its topics. Regardless they are not going to change any of its content, a REMAKE is just the same game build from ground up or with significantly changed assets, a remake never has significant changes content-wise (that would be a reimagening). That being said, they just released Super Mario RPG - including things like Peaches "toy". This and Nintendos attitude against censorship shows how much fs they give about the woke bubble (none at all). So stop wailing or take a tissue.

I heard the first note of the opening and I instantly knew and was brought to tears. I cannot explain how happy I am that this finally happened.
All the homies need to show up and make this the highest selling Paper Mario game and make the next installment a return to form. Tell everyone you know that has a switch why you love this game so much.
I think the funniest part was the fact that there was three different cheers: One for when the book showed up, causing everybody to think "COULD IT BE???", one for when Mario's house showed up, confirming for everyone "IT'S PAPER MARIO!!!!!!!!!!!" and finally a third one when we saw Peach's letter inviting Mario to Rogueport, confirming that it was indeed TTYD(cause it could've very well been a 64 remake from before that point).
The real ones knew exactly what it was the moment the book appeared on the screen.

@@eb09-onfn It doesnt just look remastered, it looks REMADE. Everything from the lighting, textures, the way they layered everything down to the characters, the new HUD, totally remastered soundtrack which follows the more recent games with its jazz, and hell even changes the sounds of the text. There are also NEW npcs (confirmed by the purple toad in Glitzville.)
@@Herecomesdatboi12I just hope the dialogue hasn't changed much or dumb downed. They showed some phrases and things like some gore have changed . Not gonna spoil it for those that didn't played.
Finally... A Paper Mario with the classic battle style, thought it's a remake, I will love to play it one more time.

sometimes its segment its there a few things related to the announcement like tears of the kingdom had a segment once.

My most favorite game of all time. Such a timeless story and gameplay. I was 9 years old when I got this game for my gamecube, and I remember going with my folks to get it at Toys R Us. So excited for the nostalgia, and I hope they didnt get rid of the Flavio glitch...

So these guys are really screaming in joy because they gonna return to the cash register in shop for buy another time the same game that they have buy and play before but with a more expensive price on the Nintendo Switch with just for get a quarter of exclusive content while the 3/4 of the game gonna just be somes deja-vu between Peach possessed at the end as the final boss, Mario get his own body stolen by Doopliss in Chapter 4, Mario go in Moon in Chapter 7 for try to found Peach but know she isn't on moon anymore and I spare somes others details seriously?
Jeez... I don't want to try to imagine just one seconde how it gonna be the day when Nintendo will made in the future a new console and that they gonna port somes games from the Nintendo Switch to their new console and that somes brainless people gonna scream in joy because they gonna be so happy to be able to buy a second time Super Mario Odyssey from Switch but ported to the next Nintendo console or another time Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with all DLC inside. Sometimes I wonder where is the true Nintendo community? When I say the true community I talk about those who have more taste in video game and like Nintendo when the Nintendo games was "new fresh game" and "various games" but don't want too much remake or port unlike those from now who just care for somes old video game port from 10 years ago and just want more crappy Pokemon games with a unhappy community who ask more Pokemon games and doesn't care about the others Nintendo IP who don't have much attention.
