me, you, and probably 98% of everyone else who woke up early to buy one today. As a best buy employee for all of my adult life, I'm deeply dissapointed that my company couldn't implement something as simple as cart protection and a dang captcha. How are you going to list an item as "online only" only to be told seconds later that it isn't available for shipping? I hope this ruins Nvidia, and AMD takes over all their customers next month with their new cards. I know I'll be trying to get a 6800XT.
i got it and luckily i had no problems. it has even already been shipped.
I was able to get one, it said that for me but I kept clicking through regardless of the errors and it gave me it. All I can say is that I was very lucky. I hope everyone else here is able to get the card soon. (and for a proper cost)
@@Liquidsevenz Same things going to happen with those cards too. Bots combine with Microsoft and Sony not wanting everyone to go PC before they sell their consoles. I wouldn’t hold your breath. The fix is already in.

Yeah I have trouble waking up early because I work a night shift, so I stayed up all night just to make sure I'd be on top of it the minute it was available. And I was perfectly on top of it. Too bad the Best Buy site spent over 20 minutes jerking me around with strange errors until it finally booted it out of my cart and told me they were sold out. Complete nonsense.

Best buy dropped a lot of cards this morning. Was able to get one of these for $560. Can't wait to pick it up this weekend!

I called Best Buy to chnage it to my full name and then I ordered something random and my order went thru without issue. Should I get the 3070 FE or this xc3 ultra ive heard it has mediocre cooling both will be good just this xc3 ultra has 2-3% more performance for 60$ more.
It's crazy how much some of these AiB partners charge for things that don't give a whole lot of actual return.

I share your opinion. With the pricing of the 3070 AIB Models so high here in Australia, I might just end up with a 2080ti anyway. I should of bought won in the first place, instead of waiting. Especially because the 4k performance is slightly better. I never thought this would happen.

@@hamajangz9586 Just be happy its a 10 series gpu. Before that laptop gpus were "mobile" variants that performed piss poor. The gt 1030 is at least the same in your laptop as the desktop. 30fps from any game on 1080p high/ultra with that gpu you have there is pretty damn good.

When I tried to buy my 3070 it got "We can't ship to your area" I got all the way to the check out and I was putting my card in and when I was hitting BUY it said that message.

This one was pretty easy to get. I don't think you'll have trouble getting one in a few weeks, anyway.
I mean, I feel like people need to calm down, imho you don't need the newest thing right away? I'm waiting 3 months, my hardware still works great and I don't need the newest thing asap. Also, the more time you wait, the more you allow Nvidia to work some of the kinks out of the manufacturing process, like the issue with the capacitors.

They delayed the release just for them to go out of stock again 😭
If you believe delaying had any effect of not selling out then you really don’t understand the logistics lol... People were showing up to micro center 2-3 and a half hours after launch time and still picking up cards so obviously this launch was wayyy better than 3080/3090
They didnt delay for stock haha they delayed so they could release the day after radeons announcement.

I recently just traded my 2070 super and $300 for the non ultra version of this card (the 2070 super by the way i got right before the 30 series launch for $250) I've seen how the community has been toxic about these recent launches (which to an extent they have the right to be) and i would like to say keep up the good work and helping us have the proper info to make an informed decision

For me not really. As far as I heard from a lot of friends and ppl in streams of I believe it was moondye7 AMD has a lot of problems in the end. Especially if you have Intel CPUs. (Most AMD users are probably gonna have a AMD CPU as well but just in case someone did have an Intel CPU i wanted to adress this here).
Agree. I never really like and but all their cards are 16gb which is good for people who don't need the best.. 3070 price range and better I guess.
If AMD could get there drivers together and etter supported I would be more willing to get their flagship, but I've yet to see this from them
RX 6800XT and 6900XT look super competitive but the prizing of the RX6800 is a bit to high

Hey Jay , off topic comment but wanted to share that I just finished my second PC build tonight, and I wanna say thank you to you and all the other tech TH-camrs in this space. You guys constantly give out knowledge for free and helped me find a new passion. Keep up the amazing work!!
Some info on noise and thermals would be good. The performance difference is negligible most of the time, 1-5%, so it comes down to whether the card runs cooler and quieter to determine if it's worth it over the FE.
Got my EVGA 3070 XC3 Ultra last week, I was in the queue system on EVGAs site. Love the car, temps are very good (~64c) under 97-98% load and it stays pretty quiet.

@@thatrandomguycommenting1261 also they could implement a 2 level purchase system, where you would receive a confirmation sms to your registered phone number with a code, and you should give that code at the end of the purchase. So everyone could buy only 1(limited quantity) per phone number and you should give a valid phone number to purchase. I guess these changes would make it much harder for the scalpers, to write a bot what has a legit phone number and have access to the sms, also can parse the required code from it. They could also add some random factor to the confirmation sms, idk changing the text randomly to make it harder to parse. I am pretty sure these changes could have been implemented in the last 1-2 month, after the 3080 shit festival :(

I was able to snag a 3090 ftw3 ultra from EVGA. Signed up 9/24 @ 3pm pst. Very pleased how EVGA handled this no other retailer cares about getting products in their customers hands honestly. I don’t mind paying a little extra for a company making the effort.
I got the card waiting on line outside in the NY microcenter. They had so many cards. Apparently in Brooklyn, I was 14th in line, but there was a total of 100 ppl, and 80 of them got cards. (I got the gaming x trio from msi)
The one in Yonkers? They said they sold out at 1:30pm. Didn’t get one though :/

The micro center in westbury had 150. I walked into the one in queens 3 hours late and still got one. No line no Hassel.

I’ve come to the conclusion that I will never probably get a FE at this point.
The Founder's Edition has a more "professional" look to it; they usually do. That, plus the fact they're DIRECTLY from Nvidia itself. They are definitely unique cards with a certain appeal.
@@CollateralHK I am one of the few who actually like this positioning, I love lineup cables and enjoy them surrounded by other components rather than tuck all of them in the backplate

You get rage mode just with the card. That's basically just automatic overclocking. The smart access memory is what you get when you pair it with a zen 3 cpu. Just saying.
Rage mode is also going to be the description of the buying experience when the AMD cards sell out instantly as well.

US$500 is a recommended retail price excluding any sales tax which will account for a good chunk of the difference.

i just saw an EVGA rtx 3070 for 820€ (=960USD). WTF !!!
I also managed to get it in my cart (or so I thought) 3 times and then when I was in checkout it would say the item wasn't available to ship to my address and it also wasn't available for pickup within 250 miles. Real frustrating especially now that I'm seeing scalpers trying to sell for 2X the MSRP.
I just got one through the que system. Super happy with the way evga went about it. I know it may be late in the product cycle but it was at the new msrp which is still better than scalper prices. I am now a evga fan. Replaced my 5600xt with the 3070 ftw3

Obviuosly hes teying to sell old merch and no ot stopping completly. Merch is cheap to make and easy to make money from. Which is why everybody sells merch. This is especially true for bands and rappers when they do shows. Most money is made from merch.

i was at MC the day before and there were people camping outside as early as 10am.. clown shit.. i showed up at 8am the next day and there was 100+ people in line. i took a chance and got an FE card.. lol imagine camping overnight in cold weather just to get the same card as someone that showed up late on launch day.
Where? There were 10 cards at my local Micro Center. - edit... that was for the 3080.
After my "no longer available for shipping" issue at best buy, I booked it to the nearest microcenter 2 hours away and got the last FE. WHEW.
I got my XC3 from microcenter when the person who was qued for it didn't show up. Got lucky to be #1 on the waitlist they started.
The Microcenter in Michigan had almost 300 cards on launch day (all but 7 were FE). I grabbed myself one and they didn't run out until around 11:30 am which is fantastic!
Got a FB marketplace local used 3070 xc3 for $375 today. Great condition, worked flawlessly.

From what I've seen via reddit fans, evga is currently sending invites to people from special 17th around 9am for the ftw3 ultra and the xc3 ultra is currently at 9/16 4pm. So depending what card you signed up for, you will likely be getting it soonish

the fan blades on this card are inverted, which direction are the fans spinning ? and if it's not the traditionnal way, if we put case fans in front of the gpu they may be intaking air in the wrong direction, may it cause turbulence ?

It did not sag much in my B550 Gaming F MB, but I got an anti-sag bar anyway.
I live in Germany, I tried to buy one multiple times in the linked site, but as I added to the shopping cart and moved to pay, it frozed and my shopping cart returned empty, multiple times, and I tryed to buy from the very first second on... it didn't worked out for me.

Got a 3070 founders on launch day from microcenter for 499, The downtown Brooklyn store got about 28 cards which all went an hour after the store opened
I finally got a 3070. A few years later. The EVGA 3070 FTW3 Ultra. I've used EVGA since my very first build and have never had any problems so I kept with them. Thanks for the video. I know you got alot of hate when making these videos but you were right when you said we'd need them when we could actually find them.

Wouldn't bother, Get a used 2080ti as the 11gb vram will out last the gains of the 3070 or 3070ti. In the next few years 8gb cards will become like the now 6gb cards. Depending on how much the pro wannabes push for FPS instead of substance, stagnating game progression, like the last decade. That's the only way 8gb will last...
I snagged a MSI Ventus 3x OC at Microcenter on launch day. I showed up at 9:30, no line, still quite a few cards available when I arrived.
Do you think that you can put the Warzone statistics in there too? I really want to see what would be best for that game as well.
I have had the EVGA RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra now for 2 years after finally getting one through EVGA and I love this card, great temps and wonderful game play. cost me $750
picked one up used about 4 months ago and temps are beautiful. it's kinda in a hot location, so i was worried for a bit, but it runs SO cool.
I was able to have one in my shopping cart right before the whole BestBuy website went down. So frustrating.
Don't worry here in germany it was the same with "notebooksbilliger".
Hello Jay. Will you test the 3070 on a 11520 x 2160 display. I wounder if the card will be anle to push 60hz. At the moment i am running a 2070 super stovk and it can only push 30hz on my 11520x2160 display.

Jay I managed to buy this card last week. Prices are high here in Australia. Awesome card, runs cool and quiet.
In this review the 2080ti performs better in synthetic benchmarks like Timespy but in gaming the 3070 is mostly superior. I like how in your reviews you include synthetic and real world benchmarks to paint a more accurate picture.
I remember when the RTX 3060 was released not long ago, when compared to the previous generated RTX 2070 is was slower in synthetics but faster in most games.

WHEW my evga que from nov finnaly came up for the xc3 ive been trying to get a gpu with normal drops for so long but work makes it hard to get on during those mid day best buy drops and ive never managed to win newegg shuffle or been fast enough on stock notifications. I had almost forgot I had that in que waiting and got the email yesterday I wish everyone else on the same hunt the best of luck
EVGA sent me my email for my card today. Checked my email and bought it with only 15 mins left on my 8 hr time limit! I signed up the day it came out, so almost three months.

@@marioStortuga Amd announced a month or two prior it will throttle the production to not have as bad as of a scenario as nvidia did

@@tytlyf Nvidia, too said that there would be less stock issuses with the 3070, hence why they delayed the launch. Don't trust what brands say until they prove it with their actions.

Literally just bought a Gigabyte 3070 OC at 10pm from Umart, either got insanely lucky or people only check one or two online stores
same here in germany. how about the pricing? my tuf oc cost me 675€, which is a pretty high price. i expected 550€-600€.
the cheapest card was some msi card for 599€.
@@sniper0073088 Pretty much the same in AUS, cheapest 3070 i can see that isnt the FC is $949 AUD, average is about $1000 and there are some "master" versions for $1200 ish

Just managed to buy one, I made sure to sign up for the queue for every SKU on launch day and finally got my card today (this was also the model I wanted, perfect sweet spot for price, performance, and size). Still had to come back to this video before I pulled the trigger though, but I'm glad I even had an opportunity to buy one let alone get time to even think about the model I was purchasing because trying to buy one as they come in stock on Newegg requires trying to buy literally any card and just dealing with what you get if you're even lucky/quick enough to get anything.
The EVGA cue system works great. I clicked "Notify Me" about one of the 3090 cards on the afternoon of launch day. I received an email this week notifying me that my card is available and my 3090 is out on the UPS truck for delivery today.
It still has the "iMa firin' mah LaZOr mouth" !
