That new documentary on Max about Stax records was really eye opening. I didn’t know Isaac was their kinda in-house record producer for years, who, after Otis Redding died, finally spoke up on his desire to sing on a record. And then he became the label’s first bonafide rock star.
Yes! Watching it as well...my mom loved Issac Hayes music so I grew up listening to all of his albums. The fact that Stax Records gave him freedom to explore, put them back in the game and inabled them to produce some major artists and fantastic music.
Walk on by was originally written by Burt Backrach and song by Dionne Warwick..Issac Hayes put his own little twist to this song, that's why it is one of his greatest 🎶🎶☺️
