A realy light minimalist bare essential set up, i must admit i drag around a few more things with me, but i do use them all. I love a hot coffee in the morning!!
Great stuff you are a proper minimalist, I am now considering losing the sleep Mat, the inflatable pillow, the pub clothes, flip flops, the cooking pot and burner, the woolly hat, first aid kit, and the wash kit. After careful consideration I’m now keeping them 😂 but absolutely agree with your logic and placement of things. I guess as I’m 68 I need a few more bits, anyway like the look of your smiling adventures shirt good luck get it out for Xmas.
Cut a couple of squares from an ice cream lid, they can be used to cover sidewall slashes if you have a blow out on tubeless, bit more protection for when u put a tube in👍
I waterproofed the outer of my Topeak bag Josh, use clear builders silicone dissolved in spirit and paint it on. Works a treat, look it up, how to videos on YT. HTH
Toothbrush? Great set up. I do like a cook kit if im on an overnighter. Yeah, i need a sleep mat. Defo would buy that long sleeve Shirt. Keep smiling 😀
Great seeing your kit Josh. That down stuff certainly packs down like magic! For myself I think I'd add a little stove and pot to boil water for a cuppa or 'pot meal' and merino wool leggings for camp. I've also discovered Capricorn *mohair* socks are the absolute dog's do-das for long lasting warmth and wear.... Oh yeah... and a sleeping pad obviously😄
Nice. Light, small, functional. I used a regular trekking pole as a bike stand (tucks under the saddle and holds a loaded bike perfectly). I guess if it would suit you, you'd squeeze 2 or potentially 3 functions out of it (given you leave a bike and go for a walk😉) Thanks for the video.
Nice vid! It's amazing what you can fit into those bags. Ha ha re sleeping mats. I wasted £££s buying 4different ones, all much too bulky/heavy before the Panceltic. I took a tiny one and used it once, but unless you sleep like a log you will end up on the ground anyway. Not taking one this time but i've tried putting a sleeping bag inside the bivvy bag and rolling it up like a sausage and putting it in Restrap front bar bag, inside a drybag. Usually I don't take a sleeping bag ,but now I'm "old" I don't cope with the cold🥶🥶🥶
Really informative video Josh , love watching your adventures , although I’m not a hardcore wild camper I do enjoy an overnight camp . Happy to buy a shirt when there in production. What was the brand of dry bag with valve you’ve got ??
What tent would you prefer to use instead of the Alpkit Soloist? Commendable to keep using until its bust despite having issues with it. Thanks for sharing yet anotehr great video :-)
Like your content! I’m starting the same myself here in Ireland. Been exploring it for almost 2 years and I think documenting is a great way to show others the nature outside of city life. I like your setup….i might go for saddle bag as it seems appropriate for off road riding….why this new channel? Why not on the same channel?
Great to see inside your bags Josh. Thanks for the tour and explanation. Impressively minimal. Do you carry the drone and camera gear in your backpack?
it's a Sonder Camino Titanium version 1 (Alpkit brand). He bought the frame and built it up himself. I have version 2 of the frame and did the same thing.

Rain in Wales! I recommend that you cycle in Machynlleth, it never rains and perfect for bikepacking

Wow, you sleep warm. I use one of those sleeping bags during the summer in Scotland. Thanks!

The Topeak Backloader and the Blackburn framebag are also my go to bikepacking bags on my Ritchey Outback
Great vid. Seems you have a sort of similar distribution of gear to me, but... where do you carry the drone? What drone and what camera do you use?
I'm planning to build a flatbar gravel bike like this. Wish me luck!! I'm a fan from Indonesia.
FJERN...lol. That is how I would say it too, but it is a funny sound.

I would use some suspension on my new bike when I get it.

How do you cook on your trips?
No idea how you sleep in the winter in the pipedream 400… I get cold in the 600

no toiletries or first aid kit? where do you take a dump?
No cook kit or hot drinks kit ?
Very minimalist , but no food or stove or even beer for camp 🤷♂️

That's my question too. Where do you carry the drone? What drone and what camera do you use?
Have you tried putting inner bar ends?
What made you change the Alpkit soulo for the tarpster ?
What about the backpack? You always ride with a backpack right?
what 1L bottle do you use? Need to replace mine
What’s the garmin/exposure light mount set up?
What bike model is this my brother
