Everyone has got a story of being stranded while cycling weather it’s of a full blown bike packing adventure or just a little local ride. I share my 5 most memorable memories of getting into a pickle while cycling.

I,ve got more battery range on my e bike than i have bum range , after 40 miles my battery says yes but my back side says no lol

I was walking with my rottweiler along a disused railway track in Caerphilly, when I fell backwards down the embankment and landed on my shoulders , feet sticking up towards the air, in a bramble bush. I gave a loud karate scream, and despite being covered in thorns, twisted my body and dragged myself through the bush. I was covered in blood, but had no choice other than scream and get myself out. Lottie the rottie was very relieved.

I really appreciated you sharing this. I think the human spirit surprises us when faced with adversity. I’ve had a few trips where I thought, that’s it I’m done; why am I doing this but yet I wake up trying to plan my next adventure!. Thanks for showing, at least me anyway,😁that I’m not the only idiot who thinks like this. Thank you brother!

Never knew we had the same fat bike, I have Fatty V2, Done loads of miles on mine but i run Surly Lou/Edna 4.8 front / 4.3 rear Tubeless

Been very lucky with punctures on my e bike , 40 mile plus rides but 3 punctures within one mile of arriving home , the exception was on the sea front near blackpool when i had no spare tube and the glue wouldn't stick the patch properly so ten mile push back to the hotel , went to sticky patches after that and now always carry two spare tubes.

Greetings from sunny Bournemouth. I stayed up in a small campsite at the top end of Lagos just past the fort called ‘Camp Trinidade’ lots of friendly travellers so was easy to get someone to look after your kit when you showered etc. lovely place but had to keep your wits about you at night in some areas

Stranded 😖not ideal ! My worst ,not a long one but just the worst feeling .My friend and i decided to do a 50 mile plus Yorkshire Dales MTB from Apperset ,Hawes.My mate informed me his Mrs has sent me a big sandwich with everything in it ! Great !!! cheers , i told him to hang on to if he could , i would grab it later which i did when i had eaten up so asked for the gifted super sandwich ! He informed me that he had got hungry and bloody eaten it !!! Well , we got onto Lady Annes Highway or somewhere and i got hungry,in fact starving ,then couldnt ride up hills,then any sort of rise at all ! The ' bonk ' was heading in my direction.After another 10 minutes it was hallucinations ,dizzy ,had to lie down ,couldnt even walk ,this was no way being a wuss ! i had broke the record for The 3 Peaks cyclo cross V50 so i knew how to hurt.Had to sent my mate down to the car for a mars bar and coke that i knew i had in the glove compartment, i always remember saying could he manage to bring me it back without eating it !! Happy Days 🤣🤣🤣🤣

This is Sharon (unsure why it posts the hubby's name) .. The Dorset Dash ... sounds awful! I'd rather watch the sun-rise with a cuppa in my hand. Your adventures amaze me!! I once got stranded when my bike pedal fell off, I had to walk/limp a whole 2 miles home ... pales into significance to your troubles.

Night riding is not for everyone but I’d definitely recommended giving a go it’s a complete different experience.. top tip if your pedal falls off you can still scoot your bike, that’s always fun 😆 and a little quicker than walking.

I've only gotten into cycling fairly recently. One of my first few rides, only about 7 or 8 km away from home, I punctured my tire and had to walk the rest of the way home. Wasn't as terrible as other people's experiences but it taught me to always carry a spare tube! (Patches didn't work )
