- John "Shrek" McPhee was a Unit (1st SFOD-D) Operator. He goes over the basics of door breaching, plus some colorful stories from his time as a Breacher in Afghanistan and Iraq.
This is a high level view of some breaching techniques. The details are not pubic for safety and keeping information out of the wrong hands.
He seems like the coolest guy alive. So down to earth but so deceptively knowledgeable.

I was a young Marine Sergeant who was fortunate enough to attend the Ohio Highway Patrol SWAT school back in 2007. During ballistic breaching with a shorty 12 gauge I didn’t listen to instructions and look away from the breach point. As soon as I pulled the trigger I lost a tooth because of the recoil. Life lesson I’ll never forget.

Are y'all using wad cutters (rounds)? Reason I ask is I was trained a little differently when I was active and im thinking it is because of the rounds y'all are using.
These are dedicated breaching rounds that fire powdered metal with a wad. The Kentucky slugs are a modification to a normal round, but I don't share it here to protect the information. The hidden full video has the entire presentation, this one has been edited down.

What about slugs?
I think you'd deal with over penetration, the goal is to breach then be able to discriminate. It's not shown but he explains how to modify buck shot into "Kentucky slugs".
