Kyle is a bad dude, not only being trained for years at the highest level in a US Army SMU (tier 1 counter terrorist/hostage rescue unit) but also deploying to combat including responding to terrorist attack overseas where he was alone at times with little to no support clearing through structures for hours full of innocent civilians and a few gunmen.
Was incredibly fortunate to train with Kyle for a few days. Man is the most humble, knowledgeable and professional protector in the industry. Thank you for all your instruction and content ! 🔥🔥
Excellent video. Kyle is such a professional, and knowing he’s teaching this from a place of needing to use it hundreds of times really solidifies it for me.
exactly..too many LE guys teaching redundant CQB. Former combat arms (ARMY) and current federal LEO. LEO guys can't really teach this stuff, and I've gone to plenty of CQB courses the agency offers.
The scariest part is they never show real speed of their CQB....Unit/Dev clear so goddamn fast it's straight out of a movie. Seems every person getting to the Unit/Dev the first thing they are shocked by is how incredibly fast everyone moves. Stories of Unit guys entering at a frightening speed taking running headshots. Scary and insane to think about what our boys can do!
I'm sure you've seen the leaked video of the delta member clearing a house. Yeah the speed of the guys is insane, I couldn't imagine being the enemy and seeing a human move with that speed and aggressiveness.
I saw a small snapshot of DJ Shipley doing it at full speed. It was him and another guy. He moved so smooth and quick I didn’t even process what he did.
This guy is a great instructor, from what I’ve seen great break down and reasoning! Don’t do everything just because! Do the drills that make sense! Thank you sir!
Really praying for this guy.. Seen his interview on the Shawn ryan show and I seen the pain of what he went through in his eyes. If yall meet up with him again give him a hug and tell him America is with him.
Kyle still looks like hes in his early 20's yet he is as legit modern warrior that there is. Once he mentioned the sling to push forward, it reminded me of the OG SAS troopers in the UK that developed the foundation for CQC. They used sling tension with their MP5's for stability.
This is great stuff- each guy at this level talks a lot about the same stuff but each has their own perspective on the "why." Experiences a bit different, body mechanics a bit different... strengths a bit different... From all these perspectives those of us who aren't immersed in it or didn't make a career about it can understand the concepts and put them to use in our own way- whether it's just in gaming or... whatever folks are up to.

What about shootings that happen through the wall after door is open. So much to think about. Seen door rammed and rounds sprayed across both sides of door frame from inside.
Theres also the peekaboo,a tactical leaning move over potential cover spots where one reduces the chances of getting hit by atleast inches depending of the mass of the structure and angles.
What about shooting left-handed on a button hook if you’re right handed or shooting right handed if you’re left-handed on a button hook instead of taking the path of lease resistance?
You are thinking too much into it, they are not going to crack the door and stand there to look. He is talking about by the time the door is cracked he has already gotten a snapshot and started to map the room BEFORE he enters. He is breaking it down into digestable chunks otherwise he would be moving so fast you wouldn't be able to tell what the hell is going on.
Pulling the gun out of shoulder is old shit we used in early to mid 90s to manipulate our MP5s and CAR 15s in VEHICLES. How it got in room clearing is fascinating to me. Each to his own. It’s not fundamentally sound in the dark in a cluttered room is best way possible to lose complete of your weapon and get jammed the fuck up trying to transition. Each to his own
I would love to hear Mr. Morgan's thoughts on the Israeli LimPen system, as I see elements of it in his techniques. Also, would he recommend yelling "BASIC-@$$ BITCHES!" prior to entry?
It was experimented with in Iraq because bad guys started putting bunkers / fighting positions indoors. It was abandoned as a stupid idea. It's even more stupid in the U.S. where pretty much every wall is drywall.
Serious question, because I genuinely have no clue, but what would be the reasoning for the breacher just to crack the door open first, rather than wide open? In my mind, I'm thinking if perp notices the door being cracked open, he can get himself in a defensive position, and would be hidden from sight initially. Flinging the door open would expose and surprise, right? Great to see Kyle sharing hard earned knowledge to common folks.
I think in the case of the video, cracking the door was just an example of what to do with a door that you arrive to which is cracked. In most cases, the door would be opened by the 2 man quickly and completely.
CQC is a legitimate term but it usually referred to as being more than just CQB involving combatives, knives, and many other elements. It's not a "guntuber" term.
