I plan to try this after my menstrual cycle just to recover. Root and Spring has a soup pack with most of these ingredients. Cannot wait to try it! Thanks for posting such amazing recipes.
I have never tried Chinese Herbal soup but will definitely check it out! Very cool to see how you are able to cook so many different types of traditional foods.
Thank you for defining the ingredients. Brings back a flood of good memories with my parents. Love the 'mom', 'daughter', and 'son' in your video....truly hilarious reminders of my youth! Love it! Love it! You really made my day! Can't stop chuckling. Hahaha! Very traditional soup indeed! Good reminder about the 'nose bleed'. Can't wait for your next blogs and videos!!! Thanks so much!!! 👍👍 Must be the extra toe for added flavour! Hahaha 👣
Thanks Victor! So glad I made your day! 😂 I am sure we all went through similar, memorable childhoods with our parents 🥰. Without the extra toe there may be less flavor 🤔
Samgyetang, which is also a soup that uses chicken and ginseng, is from the Korean cuisine. It typically uses a whole young chicken and includes rice , whereas this video uses Silkie chicken. Hope that helps!
I haven’t tried pressure cooking herbal soup yet, although it has crossed my mind. For some reason I feel like slow cooking is more legit 😂. If you try it let me know how it goes!
actually not only Chinese, remember白蘭氏鸡精(Brand)it is from Royal Chef at Buckingham Palace. Also Freeze it first so that you can easily remove too much chicken fat on the top. That is my mother do that.
I don't know where you live but in Vancouver and Richmond, BC the Chinese restaurants, cut off the nails before cooking them. If that restaurant is negligent in not doing a manicure, forget going there for dimsum.

Aww thank you!!
I’m interested in this especially all the herbs. I wonder if I could use a Cornish hen instead of a silkie

Does it matter on how much water you use for the amount of herbal you use?
We don’t have this kind of chicken here. Would regular chicken work too?

Will it cook faster if I cut up the chicken into pieces?
Possibly but I like to slow cook for hours for better flavors. I have tried reducing the time and it wasnt the same
Hahaha. Awesome Video.
Best Actor and Actress Awards?
You mom video cute & funny 😷
😊😊😊 thank you!
I had dim sum chicken feet last month. The sauce is nice but I'm in no hurry to have it again. Spitting out toenails gave me trauma.
😂😂😂 that’s hilarious! The toenails aren’t meant to be chewed on! The dish is so delish though!
