wow :) that's delicious.. my dad has more than 10 black meat chickens at home here in Philippines. i told him to preserved them :) they just cook a simple recipe bcuz they don't know how to cook it like that. i will tell them to try your recipe if there are available ingredients here. happy to watch more Chinese recipe.

Great! Ask him to refer to this list for the Chinese herbs www.newmalaysiankitchen.com/common-chinese-herbs-in-english-and-chinese/

This is exactly the video I’ve been waiting for that shows the use of chinese herbs and what they’re called in English. I appreciate the translation as I’m a “banana”! I do wished you had elaborated a little bit more on the black chicken and how is the handling of it different from regular chicken. Another great video and love the glimpses of your personal life.

Thank you for your feedback. In future videos, I'll talk more about the herbs and the black chicken. Though I can speak Cantonese, I cannot read. So I've written an article where I translated all the herbs into English. Check it out! >> www.newmalaysiankitchen.com/common-chinese-herbs-in-english-and-chinese/

No need 4 hours. The electric steamer 2 hours setting just enough. 1. One or Two whole leg (Chop bite size), 2. Herbal Mixture ( I put quite a bit herbals) 3. 6 deep soup bowls water 4. Seasoning 1. 1 Tbsp (korean round spoon) kikoman light sauce 2. 1 tsp sugar.

Good one Sara Khong. I just bought 3 packet online and wondering how to cook it. Black chicken is the best and blend well with the herbs for ultimate nutrition, if you cannot get black chicken as substitution I go for the free-range spring chicken or even wild pigeon. Kindly advise. TQ

Silly question, but do you usually eat the ingredients after? When I’ve had it, the chicken is tough but idk if it’s just bc of how it’s prepared than how it’s supposed to. Also unsure if you eat the herbs. Thank your for your video @sara_khong!
