I’d love to hear the husbands side of the story. This caller swung from sobbing victim to combative pretty quick.
Well she's a woman so...
I live in Lincoln, NE lol something isn’t right here
I live in Lincoln NE lol making $6/7 a month here is good great money! He lost the job because of most likely doing stupid stuff ! I know few power companies
There is a lot of missing information here
Some stuff ain't adding up on this call, and it's not about the money.
Another call where the husband may be wrongly villainized by Dave because the woman refuses to divulge what happened. My bet is the woman is playing the fake victim here.
Dave is such a simp weakling
Rightttt!!! I want some follow-up and the other side!!
This call has addiction written all over it. Both husband and wife.
A hundred million percent.
That’s exactly what I was thinking.
Yep, for sure.
Spot it a mile away
That’s what I was thinking
Now everyone want to know what the accident entailed. Me too, since it sounds a bit fishy that she refuses to say what happened. Too much self pity here.
I’m thinking an attempt on her own life and so the husband is resentful that she put herself out of work.
@@GingerrrrsnappsI was thinking that or a drunk driving accident.
@Gingerrrrsnapps that would be something you wouldn't want to discuss but calling that an accident would be scummy
It did sound fishy but it also sounded like domestic violence.
@@barbthegreat586 how would that work?
Forget the homeschooling. Put the kid in public school and get to work. There's definitely something you can do. And you need to work together on these issues.
Show: What was your accident keeping you from working?
Caller: Not going there because that's my cover. Let's keep piling on Bubba.
Exactly. Women can pull blame out of thin air. It's rarely one sided.
Drama queen. Enough said. Ms. Piss and moan. What is she doing to help her husband/boyfriend?
Bubba is a BAAAAAAD man
Two minutes later: oh I’m able to work, I just homeschool and stay at home
Sounds like she just lazy and using her "disability" as an excuse
She said of her husband, "he didn't never wanted to go into the power company." I'm sorry what is that grammar? Why is she homeschooling an 11 year old when she can't speak proper English herself?
The accident is a very important detail in this situation and she doesn't want to go there?
probably because she caused her issue....
I bet it was addiction related, drove under the influence and lost her license
She was probably driving drunk
'The ex wife wanted him to earn more money.. '
'I dont think shes evil..you came here asking the same thing..'
Shes a drama queen.
Did she say the ex wife was evil? I didn’t hear that.
I don't think she's a drama queen at all. It sounds like she's under serious stress and pressure because her man is pretending they don't have any serious financial problems. It's hard rowing a boat when the other person refuses to grab a paddle.
Loved that response!
Wait... $2400 a month with a free house, no car, and 1 kid... In Nebraska, where cost of living is 10% below national average... on a farm, that produces food... Get a grip...
I didn't understand. It sounded like he was in a good place at an important time: growing food, helping elderly dad, being worthy of inheritance.
What bills cannot be paid when you have almost no expenses?
Wish that kid was in school though.
He needs to be outside her depression wheel.
@@bernadette573I agree about the kid needing to be in school. I worry about someone homeschooling who doesn’t have a car “no more.”
$2400 / month is below poverty in Nebraska. That's not enough for 3 people
He doesn't make 2400. He makes at least 3400 because he's also getting free housing and living on what sounds like an acreage is worth at least 1000 per month to have, Even in Nebraska. Also, we don't know if he's being paid cash under the table or actually paying even a few grand in taxes on that amount annually etc etc.
I’m having trouble following this one
The wife could totally work a remote job as a disabled person, especially if she can swing a government job and get a Schedule A letter. So many people who become disabled as adults have NO idea what kind of resources there are for us.
I am legally blind and have cerebral palsy (can only use one hand). Been working for the government for 13 years and currently have a remote job).
When people have to be secretive about their “accidents” it’s because they don’t want solutions. They don’t want you putting 2 and 2 together and finding out there’s more they could do in their situation.
Professional victims
Exactly. If you can call the show, you can probably at least work in a call center.
An "accident" could be she tried to commit suicide due to mental health problems or did something stupid and doesn't want everyone to know. Try not to be so judgemental without any factual basis.
@@heatherc2203 more justifying responsibility avoidance
@@heatherc2203 It’s hard because once you’ve worked in the healthcare system for a long time, you see so many more people with made up disabilities (that are often really more laziness/obesity-related issues/personality disorders…) abusing the system rather than people with valid issues, that after a while you get distrustful and suspicious of everyone 🤷♀️.
Why homeschool when you’re too sick to work? Plus, why be shady over the accident? This call is suspicious. Send the kid to high school and she could find online work. Since she’s being shady over the accident, we don’t know why the husband is acting the way he is.
I agree with you on all that!!
I’m wondering if she’s actually “homeschooling” anyway. Some parents consider homeschooling as sitting their kid in front of the computer while they learn from an education website where they can earn the equivalent of a highschool diploma.
Not wanting to talk about the nature of the accident is one thing but "let's not go there" seems suspicious 🤔
Disability fraud probably
Yeah, what caused the accident if it wasn't a car accident? Some kind of industrial accident? Sounds like she would have gotten some type of disability if it happened on the job.
Could have been a S attempt
I agree.
@@ricana1160 Or an incident of DV
Farm kid from Nebraska. There is a reason why we have a saying, "behind every successful farmer is a wife who works in town."
She's the loss of income. Yeah, he makes a little bit less, but he's got free housing. Housing is a value. Making 2400 with free housing is not so bad. Her 3500 missing from the equation or whatever is the bigger problem
This was a bizarre call.
Amazing how her crying just stopped…
crocodile tears.
Y’all know she’s lying right?
@@Payday-ky7mb Yeah, even if she's not outright lying, she's definitely lying by omission.
Just like Behavior Panel!!
She just Wants Dave to feel pity and cut her a check
I feel sorry for the husband. I can’t believe she wrote to his dad, that is awful. He loves farming, he has been beat up in the past already. My guess is he doesn’t trust women much anymore. This is a mess. Hope they make it through. She need some counselling.
If she had an accident, she's needs to either work at home or collect disability social security. This makes no sense.
disability and social are not always a option especially at certain ages
She had to sell the car. Disability is not that easy to get, takes years. And she thinks she can do something, she just has to figure out what.
Would love to hear the husbands side of the story.
Yeah..i have a strong suspicion we'd get the actual, real story.
I don’t understand how this call kept coming back to the husband being delusional and lazy.
It’s not adding up.
$2,400 is good monthly income in rural areas.
I suspect addiction issues…. Shopping too much to keep up with Jones’s, alcohol or something else.
A rural area AND they have no housing expense. Maybe that is why the father doesn't pay the husband more because he knows it will go up their noses. Pops has figured out the salary accounting for the "free" rent.
Food and obesity
“What kind of accident?”
“Let’s not go there”
Uh oh…looks like someone screwed up and doesnt want to take responsibility.
I spent more time thinking what that could mean than anything else on this call
That’s usually the case with that response. My ex tried that and turns out all her issues were her dumb choices
Hey, watch this!
I'll bet that the reason she doesn't have a car is because she wrecked it in an "accident", and she got a DUI/DWI from the "accident", and now also doesn't have a driver's license, which is why she doesn't work and doesn't want to talk about it.
She stubbed her toe.
I feel sorry for the husband that Dave is beating up based on the very suspicious hearsay. His one ray of hope is that he will inherit that farm in a few years and he can keep it as as sole and separate property from his marital assets with Carol.
I think they’re both equally stupid. The wife is worse for not working at all. But the husband should work a way higher paying job rather than what’s “fun”. Both are dumb
If I’m the only person in the house working, I’m not going to react well to someone telling me they’re not going to be the only adult in the room anymore. If you can push a button, you can do something.
Amennnnn
Oh Ken.. the husband isnt playing farmer.. stop it.
If she can homeschool her child, she could be a virtual teacher or tutor. A lot of places have programs where you can earn your credintials while you work due to shortages. Some private schools don’t have degree requirements at all. Or she could get a phone job. They really didn’t have any solutions for this other than talk to your husband again and I don’t know what she wanted other than to make her husband earn more.
Something does not add up about this lady and the whole situation.
Not adding up at all.
$2,400 is good income especially in rural America. I smell an addiction?
@larose6551 that's what I was thinking, and manipulation
Accident = DUI 100%
Gangbang.
Maybe, but she had 8 surgeries. So she still needs to survive.
That was my immediate thought. Dave was about to give her sympathy about being a victim of a horrible accident, meanwhile it was her that caused it because of drinking problems. Which she might still have.
Bingo
It's related to her obesity
The 11 year old child should go to a public school not homeschooled. This will free up time to enable her to financially help the household. She can work online or bake cakes, cookies, and bread to sell or work somewhere.
Dave was too hard on her husband. There is an incomplete picture of what is truly going on.
Free house. Free food from the land. Wow, I sure wish I have some of that. No one gave me a free house or free food.
So they are entirely dependent on the husband’s father for both the husband’s meager income which barely covers the costs and the roof over their head.
Public schools are glorified dat care centers. Mostly crap. I'd rather have the kid home schooled
@@prakash.srn.17Yeah, but if you cannot afford home schooling, then it is option. Otherwise she has to accept the sacrifice of having very little money when doing the home schooling.
@@prakash.srn.17 They actually are not day care centers. The problem is parents who treat the schools that way and then complain about their kids without putting the time in to see what they are doing. Just attending school is not enough. You have to know what their assignments are and make sure they do them unless you have a miracle kid who is the perfect student.
She sounds a bit naive. Even if her husband’s father gave them more money, what about retirement, medicare, social security.? You have to pay into this for a future or get yourself an IRA.
"Don't want to go there" is a red flag to me.
And unlike many on here, I don't want to hate on the caller. So it's a legit red flag.
💯
Trauma is a thing you know. A victim can be so traumatized they can’t talk. Accident could be a near-death experience.
@@darinherrick9224If you can call the show, then it would be appropriate to be able to say 'I cannot talk about the accident because it is difficult for me'. Her comment was deflecting and compounding - not the type of comment you use when you are honest and responsible.

Seriously, wtf? She contradicts herself in the first 2-3 mins, "i can't work because of the accident....don't go there" and then when pressed by dave if she's physically incapable of working "no"
We dont know the other side of the story (like what's really going on), but im going to assume the caller is mostly at fault for everything that's wrong. Especially the DUI wreck she caused.
Lol! She can't handle the bills...well she doesn't work, so yeah. Everything this lady says, the opposite is likely true.
I'm very concerned that the caller didn't divulge the cause of her accident. I don't know if there is addiction, or abuse, or something, but it's enough that she's being evasive. It's possible that she's just embarrassed about what happened, as I was about my injury, but there's a whole lot wrong even without taking the accident into account. I hope they agree to counseling, because I don't think either spouse will be listening to the other in any meaningful way without it.
She sounds like a smoker. Cut out thw cigarettes to save some money.

Farming is incredibly expensive to get into, so if he gets to use somebody else's equipment, you all live in somebody else's house as part of compensation, 2400 is actually maybe still a little low but not that bad depending on how much he's farming. Do you want to pay 1000+ dollars per month in housing?
the husband checked out because the wife doesn't work. husband is like "we got no money because you don't work!"
Tears that can be turned on and off like with a switch.
Lets not go there means she scammed someone and got a settlement and cant talk about it
Or she was drunk and ran into something or someone.
$2,050.00 pre tax a month here. SS on Medicare. I'm elderly and get by fine on it because I have no debt. What's wrong with people ??
Maybe she wants $10,000 a month but that is a want and not a need. I doubt that electric, water and internet is running $2,400 a month. Food is getting more expensive but not that much more expensive.
It seems that Dave decided to latch on to a neat, tidy, easy to pigeon hole narrative, which I believe is a huge mistake. Dave should have asked the husband his side of the story. I would delve a lot deeper into what else "the bills" entails. I have trouble believing that "she" is the only one making adult decisions in their house.
She speaks in the singular about the bills.
10k a month and they have nothing now. The importance of saving and investing and prepare for when things change.
They are throwing this guy under the bus just from her side of the story. They have no clue what’s really going on in that household. She seems shady!
She needs to get off the sauce and the expensive cigarettes, it's wrecking her voice. I'd like to hear Bubbas side of the story.
“God is providing, we are so thankful.”
Really, then why are you calling a radio show in tears having sold all of your possessions?
It’s just sad that people have to say things as if they think god is listening and will throw them down the stairs again if he is displeased.
Something is very off here
If his dad is 84 years old, the discussion they should be having is when is his dad going to retire and let him run the farm. I am from a farm family in Iowa, and the same thing happened to my brother. Luckily he was also a CPA. And once my dad finally gave over the reins, then my brother could start making decisions for himself for the farm. at 84 the guy has been hanging on too long. He expects basically a low paid farm hand from his son, and it’s not gonna change until the sun takes over complete complete control of the farm.
Made up story. Crocodile tears. Just want Dave to feel pity to write her a check.
AA is a good program if you take it seriously lady.
Dave screwed this one up. Dudes being taken advantage of by a wife who is “unable” to work. Get off your ass and work if you want more. This didn’t add up.
She's lying. We need the husband's side
Why are you guys writing off any accountability for her? She can physically work
Because she’s a woman. That’s what they do now. They must have gotten that the demographics of people who watch this show are bitter middle aged women
@FrankS111 then you haven't been listening. Ken literally told her to start working
Dave and his employees always blame the men in every situation. They never have the women take accountability for anything. She didn’t want to go into the accident because it was a herself getting a DUI. That’s why she lost her car and license.
@@AuschwitzMyPantsdoubt it. You are biased and hear what you want to hear.

Yup, that made it more mysterious.
1 of them was probably to remove a bottle from her hand. No idea what the other 7 were 😉
Dave was quick to throw the husband under the bus -- especially given that the wife is not leveling with Dave. And Dave makes a grand assumption -- based on zero facts -- about the reason the husband's previous marriage ended. This call is a complete fail for Dave.
Couldn’t she get a work from home on the phone type job? Put the 11 year old in school or homeschool around her working hours. Even a couple hundred a week would change her life.
An 11 yr old can do a lot of school work on their own. Mom can definitely find something to do.
Farming is dynamically different from any other real estate/business situation that Dave is familiar with. Without knowing the nuances of her father-in-law's farming operation an intelligent financial decision can't be made here. (It's entirely plausible her husband needs to be actively involved to maintain continuity of the business relationships created by her father-in-law.$$$$$)
Everything else aside, it's so hard to adapt to price increases over time. I go through the drive through and I'm still shocked every time the bill is more than $5 or $6 because in my head I'm still expecting 90s pricing.
I can’t feel sorry for someone who is struggling by choice. She can work and he can make more money.

This reminds me of a video a few weeks back where the lady said she is looking at her pool and she cant fix it up and starts sobbing 😂 I wish Dave would get the guys side of the story before taking sides...
My guess is the family has a dysfunctional mindset. She doesn't have a car, so likely a car accident happened, and she sounds like she is wallowing and blaming the world and everyone else. That is rubbing of on the husband as if he blames his ex-wife for making him take an unhappy job... he blames everyone but himself. They both need to take responsibility. They won't, because they are mindset stuck.
Definitely a DUI…also, sounds drunk on the call
