I would say she is more to blame. She is the on that can get pregnant, so her risk is higher, she should have been more careful.

Diapers and formula are expensive.
Single moms have to work and most daycares are over crowded with a long waiting list and babysitters are expensive starting from $600-2500/month. and the list go on and on.

At 34 ,she probably wanted a baby so badly she decided to go to her ex, sleep with him and hope he’ll take her back.
She’s young, 34 years old and already has mobility issues but she’s mobile enough to have a kid…hopefully the kid won’t be a burden of the state but probably will

She already has Multiple Sclerosis which doesn't go away, it usually progresses. She is going to struggle for the rest of her life even without a child. Biological father needs to prepare himself that at some point she will not be able to care for the child, so he must step in at that point regardless of having a new partner at that time.

I have MS and know that it can be exacerbated by pregnancy and cause more disability. I worry for her about that the most. I pray things worked out for her and she and the baby are healthy.

Women love getting run through by exes. It makes them feel like they are still wanted.
His child support, which I hope she has the balls to get from him (she might be too weak), won't solve her financial problems. Doesn't sound like the other kids live with her. Maybe he can take primary custody of the kid instead. That's what I'd pursue in this situation if I was the father.
She shouldn’t have any choice about holding him to his responsibility. Otherwise the taxpayers are forced to stand in his shoes. It’s not fair to us, especially people who made the hard decision not to have kids.
Multiple Sclerosis usually progresses, so at some point she may no longer be able to care for the child herself. Bio-dad does need to step up to his responsibilities to his child, whether it is financial, emotional, physical (like food & shelter), etc. Caller did not indicate there were any other children between them.
