It is most likely because they have the mindset that Genshin is too big to fail. They don't feel like they need to treat their community well, because they are still spending billions on banners even when they are mad at the state of things. The best way to reverse this, is for people to stop spending, especially the whales as they have a bigger impact due to high spending and having a community of their own they can influence.
Whales are not the ones that bring in the most money. If 500 whales spend 1000 on a banner, that's 500k. If 100k people buy Welkin that month, that's also 500k. But guess what? Millions of people buy Welkin, not just 100k, hundreds of thousands buy BP, thousands are small dolphins. The big money comes from small spenders, because small spenders are millions, whales are a few thousands at best. My point is, it's not a whale problem. Everyone spends a little thinking it's fine and it IS fine for them because it's only 5$ per month, but miHoYo becomes billionaires in the end

Even then, it was moreso about their refusal to properly communicate when the entire community was confused for several weeks. There's also the fact that they don't fix well known issues that have existed for months, or buff characters like Amber and Qiqi who have been obsolete since day 1, or the fact that the moonchase charms we collected, which it was stated ingame could be exchanged for prizes, simply turned to dust, wasting everyone's time. imo the most glaring issue is that genshin entirely runs out of content after two months or so of playing. This game is supposed to have a 10 year plan, but after 1 year there's nothing for high AR players to do but spiral abyss, daily commissions and grinding artifact rng. I bet if this game's community wasn't so vibrant, most of them would have already quit their favourite game.

I've got the feeling that their marketing team had a plan for 2 years that wasn't taking into account the big explosion in popularity it had, and that instead of changing the original plan that was aimed at lower amounts of players, they decided to keep to their original plan. Which is stupid. I love the game since I don't have time to put 4+ hours a day on a game so the pacing is good for casuals so it won't die for this reason. With the way MHY is using the Genshin community like advertisment fodder, I don't want to know MHY. Love the talent there, and the games are pretty good, but hate the company after a year of Genshin crap this last 4 months. I have no faith that Genshin will progress as a game (they've showed little or not signs of improvement in a lot of ways).
They focus their rewards on the game that is declining in popularity. Why bother to give good rewards to Genshin players, when everyone is basically hooked. They are trying to get more players back to Honkai. The problem is Genshin makes a ton more money than Honkai, I believe Genshin already made more in 1 year than what Honkai made since launch. Obviously miHoYo is super rich right now so they don't really care, but if people actually start quitting Genshin and the billions stop coming in, miHoYo will realize where their focus should be right now

These free promotion schemes always feel scummy, but like you said, this one is truly bizarre. It's almost as if they got a bad AI to design a community event and took the first horrid idea it spit out. It feels like Mihoyo just doesn't care what the community wants. It'd be one thing if everyone was demanding expansive multiplayer raid-like experiences, but we just want some sort of meaningful end game content.

Literally the only reason that I haven't quit is that I've spent over 1k on the game during the year before the whole anniversary shit and I don't want to lose that. Plus, the actual game developers are genuinely good and made a beautiful game with amazing lore and music. The events and characters are still so fun to me. The ONLY thing is the PR. If the PR team was on the level of the people actually making the game, this game would be perfect.
Last I checked miHoYo's posted financial info some months back, Genshin was still making upwards of 40x that of Honkai collectively across all servers. Yet in Genshin they are absurdly stingy with rewards, the way their banners work are far, far worse in Genshin, there's no characters that can be farmed in Genshin through game play, while since launch all equivalent 4* characters, and some equivalent 5* characters can be farmed from in-game content in Honkai, and on, and on. Honkai is miHoYo's love child game, Genshin is just their cash cow.
Honkai 3 was kind of stingy early on. No competition until Punishing Grey Raven which released 3 years after in CN. Basically, 3 years with no competitor. PGR released and MiHoyo gave everyone an S-rank.
@@digichu007 One may regard the rewards to have gotten better after PGR, but it had all 4* equivalent characters, and even some top tier ones that could be farmed through content from the start, much better banner mechanics than Genshin has, the old bounty system for equipment farming wasn't as good as the new one, but it at least worked okish while there weren't as many things to get through it early on, and other such things. The stinginess demonstrated with Genshin, and how they seem to expect everyone to be at "end game" given the nature of challenge events, while at the same time still not adding anything new to do at end game is just nuts.

@@shuragaming4836 It is completely normal for a new game, in the first while to be in a state that when people rush through content at launch, will be sitting around complaining about there being nothing to do, not enough end game content, and so forth. But after a year, no way, companies normally would have at least started filling out the end game content after two updates, or so. We're at about ten updates in now, and miHoYo still has not added **anything** in the way on repeatable end game content, nothing, zilch, nada, zip. That is not normal at all. To say "it's only been a year" is crazy, that was *MORE* than enough time to add something, redesign the artifact system, or anything else, but nope, just more new areas with one time only content, and resource farm areas, one time only story content, which they have been rushing through lately, temporary events, and the teapot, that's it.

I spent my last $20 at the end of May on 4 welkins, seeing whether or not the anniversary would compel me to keep spending once my welkins ran out. They are businesses, they’re here for money. If one of them is overly generous, it’s not just pure kindness, there is always a good reason for that and most of time it’s because players are leaving (meaning the real game isn’t enough to keep them entertained) and bribing them with gifts works reeeaaaallllly well, to the point where people may say X game is better than Genshin because they are more generous. But if you look at the game itself, none of them can compete with Genshin (music, animations, environment design, open world, sound design, story, graphics,etc.)
They could've made a whole actual event out of this: Make a character called Elon Musk, be Ella's real dad, an inventor (hence why she's smart and ambitious for a little kid) and voice him in the game Make it so that he learned to reprogram a little ruin bot and wants us to help it get some combat experience After a long event similar to the little Oceanid and we get to keep the bot, letting us change it's form to help in a fight. That would've been WAAAAAY better received than what we got
@@souImenace I dont know why this is a theory or what the purpose is of it? Working in a much smaller live game company I can only assume they dont talk with eachother, because we dont. Of course the higher ups do communicate but not the actual developers. PR/Marketing/Community workers are usually completely detached from game developers. But that doesnt mean the PR team cant make a mistake and do this silly community challenge. They should know the mood of the players and act accordingly. But maybe they really thought itd be funny and lighten the mood?

When Blue Protocol releases globally and Tower of Fantasy releases in China, I'm hoping that it will serve as a wake up call to mihoyo since players will have more options.
Both games look cool, but I'm playing Genshin on PS5 and both games are only on PC or mobile. Obviously, the PS playerbase is like 15% only so Genshin will still be affected if the rest switch to other games. I'm just saying I wish I had the option too

honestly mihoyo is so stingy with giving us any real rewards, even when it comes to just in game exploring. i usually just read/watch a summary of the livestreams so when they announced the new chest type i just thought oh cool i will get some free blueprints too?? but no that's ALL u get. no primos, no exp books, no mora. not to mention some of the chests u get for the puzzles in inuzuma , they downgraded their types or just straight up reward u with an exclusive chest for a very complex puzzle. and like i get it inuzuma is supposed to be harder and more difficult but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't get a decent reward for the challenges?? it just feels so frustrating when u spend even more time on the game just to get less rewards. and idk maybe im being a bit greedy but i don't think im the only one that's getting a bit annoyed with all those small things especially when they aren't the only problems with the game rn

People are already thanking MHY when they throw them few primos and resins. Now that Itto and Gorou are announced, some are already planning to spend money again. Genshin community is a mess so MHY is gonna take as much advantage of it as they can.
Well I won't stop playing, but I'll keep using up their servers and didn't spend a dime on the game since the anniversary incident - I'm not a big spender anyway so it won't really hurt them, but I spent money on a BP and Welkins before and now I didn't buy the last BP despite maxing it out due to that

Majority of the playerbase is doing events on the last day just to get the "important/useful" rewards from exchange. Not more than 5-10% players bother to get the grindy milestones that offer 4 weapon enhancement ores. It's already dead mate. Players are just in denial mode rn.

I legit stopped playing Destiny 2 and played Genshin full time when it came out but it progressively gave me reasons to go right back to Destiny and now I’m full time playing Destiny 2, spending all my money there and I’m losing all my hype to co to use playing Genshin. Like I come back for specific characters and I enjoy the gameplay but when it comes to community events, it’s just kinda garbage.
A lot of companies use their playerbase/fanbase to market their product/game, and i'm cool with that - it makes perfect business sense. But if they wanna do this, they must give something useful in return. Basically, good Costumer-Business rapport. It doesn't even make sense business speaking because why do your company to leave a bad taste on people lol.

I can understand man. I'm reaching my boiling point too. In most games, the anniversary month offers a lot of energy (resin) or bonus Rewards so that people could play more during that time. But in genshin the anniversary was nothing. Totally dry.
I agree with better manegment and generosity in Honkai. I started to play the game 5 days ago and on level 37 account I already have 20 characters and five of them are S-tier _(one upgraded from lower tier to S-tier)_ and still I have not obtained all free characters and "wishes" - the important point here is, the free characters are good, not useless like Amber or under-performing like Lisa/Traveler. From achivements I recived ton of "Mora" and "Gems", in game are daily rewards, value-able expedition, co-op and option when armada _(aliance/clan)_ can help to you with building heroes _(by giving the fragments to upgrade them)_ a many other things which helps you in progress. Probably biggest bonus what I like is system of itemizations your heroes. You no need farm stupid RNG artifacts but they are replaced with 3 slots for stigmata _(fully craftable or obtainable from wishes)_ Combat in my opinion is more deep and fun, and whole dodge system is so satisfying. ... I really dont know, why is Mihoyo in their much more popular game _(with huge money income)_ , giving players less rewards. Good PR and publicity bring more players and probably part of the group of new players, pay in-game for anything.
The generosity exist It's because the game is 5 years old. They have to add new features for new players to easily join the game late. Those rewards you've said and how fast the proggress wasn't a thing years ago. It took me like 6 days to reach level 20 back then and level 40 was a hard stuck. Late game on Honkai is pure hell of dificulty. Especially if you fight Nihulus :v Also note that A rank upgraded to S doesn't mean it's equivalent as S rank base. Even SSS on A rank base characters. "Free characters are good" Bro, ur literally still in early game. On mid-late game, B rank like White comet can't do anything. Also, on late game only a few A rank base character can play. I just wanna say that you've got a misconseption about the game and was just trying to say it so no offense bro
@@kuromaki6226 I understand, the early-mid content is easier, but stats different between my pulled S-tier Yae Sakura _(Mecha - Goushinnso Memento)_ and free S-tier Seele/Vollerei _(Quantum - Swallowtail Phantasm)_ is literally in weapon, when Yae is holding 5-star weapon and Seele 4-star. And usefulness free characters is great too and offering more combos, for example Bronya _(Psychic - Yamabuki Armor)_ is super for shielding your characters and another Bronya _(Psychic)_ offering huge black hole to make crazy combos. Even Raiden Mei _(Biologic)_ as free dps character can make great job _(I just guess, no training her, because my Yae)_ I have now on bench S-tier characters as backup, if would late game to hard, but no training them now and rather then spend the resources on leveling them and gearing up bunch of characters, I'm keeping 3 of them on max possible level and keeping up rest resources.
@@_Libosido We call those S tier that you've upgraded still as a A rank base and most end game players upgrade those to SSS. Goushinsou memento is the only S rank from what you've mentioned and most of them are old valks. Goushinsou memento is one of the oldest valk while Selee came 2 years ago which sort of explains why there are any bare differences btw and stats isn't everything. Those passives of each skills mayter the most including the stigmatas set. So I suggest you get a newer battlesuit for mid-late game (just keep your current comp for early) Yamabuki armor is really great if you SSS her and Give full augment. Most valks that you've mention other than her is useless on end game like literally unplayable. Unless you have her full set weapon and stigmatas (signature) to a almost decent level Do note that Early-Mid game is way way different from late game (more than you think). as without any proper build and support, even your god tier dps don't even scratch them. That's why the generosity exist. Without any of those, you would've suffered pure hell 😩. If you haven't played till chap 17 you won't understand what I'm talking about 😂 Generosity only exist once it is required. That's my point btw. Currently genshin's generosity isn't required "yet"

Ya know this might sound weird but coming to play this game after elder scrolls online, genshin really dropped the ball on events. I remember the last big community event ESO did that I participated in. They gave away an in game house to everyone who owned the new dlc for having x number of players discover all the landmarks on the new map. The entire community got super hype people were basically ubering players to their undiscovered locations and social media absolutely blew up from all the players working together. They gave away like 20 bucks of rewards to everyone and the entire community loved it because of how the event was structured. It was a community event that encouraged the country to work together and rewarded them for it.

I feel that Genshin in their eyes was always meant to be the money maker and Honkai (especially their baby Kiana) was the project they put all of their effort in. If have you watched the 5th ani stream for Honkai, you would that it was such an emotional sight seeing them talk about how far they have gone with Honkai and how greatful they were to be here. Even outside of ani, the Herrscher of Flames Kiana battlesuit reveal stream with all the devs talking about the creation behind it, it showed how much they cared for their creations. They wanted to make a character that not only will we want to play as but also to be as close to her real character in the story. I have been with Honkai since the beginning and I can say that even if there were some pretty bad times in its run, there was never the level of dissrespect towards the players that Genshin has. If I remember correctly we didn't even get an ani stream, we only got a video that let's be honest any editor no matter the level of skill can make. The Genshin team constantly spits on our faces and instead of doing something we just lick the spit and ask for more. Even if we do something, the community just forgets what they were doing after a week and then we see the next "mommy" or "daddy" character and the cycle continues. Would a developer have respect for a community they KNOW they can manipulate easily, just by showing them the new shiny thing. And when we rebel what do we do? We don't try to communicate instead we try to bombard not only their ratings, but also OTHER GAMES"S RATINGS. Yeah, I no thanks.

Ok, let me get this straight, Honkai Team or Genshin Team they all belong to the same company and follow orders from above. The Honkai team is not better than the Genshin one, y’all like to forget how bad and stingy the fucking game was at release, but now is like that wasn’t a reality back then.
Both teams suck fucking ass because both follow the same business model used by MiHoYo THE COMPANY.
I miss the old PR team, Paimon "who Tao??" It still blows my mind that the anniversary for this game just felt like another day of logging into Genshin.
the first few weeks of the game was that exact thing... keep in mind that we wouldn't have been able to get 1600 primos if we hadn't come knocking on their 24 karat gold door.
I legit didn't even know it was the anniversary until the next day. I knew it was sometime around then but coulden't even tell that day
I would say it stood out and was very memorable but for all the wrong reasons.

It is most likely because they have the mindset that Genshin is too big to fail. They don't feel like they need to treat their community well, because they are still spending billions on banners even when they are mad at the state of things. The best way to reverse this, is for people to stop spending, especially the whales as they have a bigger impact due to high spending and having a community of their own they can influence.
Whales are not the ones that bring in the most money. If 500 whales spend 1000 on a banner, that's 500k.
If 100k people buy Welkin that month, that's also 500k. But guess what? Millions of people buy Welkin, not just 100k, hundreds of thousands buy BP, thousands are small dolphins.
The big money comes from small spenders, because small spenders are millions, whales are a few thousands at best.
My point is, it's not a whale problem. Everyone spends a little thinking it's fine and it IS fine for them because it's only 5$ per month, but miHoYo becomes billionaires in the end

@@mariuspuiu9555 This obviously is about more than just giveaways. Almost nobody cares about the anniversary rewards anymore. Even then, it was moreso about their refusal to properly communicate when the entire community was confused for several weeks.
There's also the fact that they don't fix well known issues that have existed for months, or buff characters like Amber and Qiqi who have been obsolete since day 1, or the fact that the moonchase charms we collected, which it was stated ingame could be exchanged for prizes, simply turned to dust, wasting everyone's time.
imo the most glaring issue is that genshin entirely runs out of content after two months or so of playing. This game is supposed to have a 10 year plan, but after 1 year there's nothing for high AR players to do but spiral abyss, daily commissions and grinding artifact rng. I bet if this game's community wasn't so vibrant, most of them would have already quit their favourite game.

I've got the feeling that their marketing team had a plan for 2 years that wasn't taking into account the big explosion in popularity it had, and that instead of changing the original plan that was aimed at lower amounts of players, they decided to keep to their original plan. Which is stupid. I love the game since I don't have time to put 4+ hours a day on a game so the pacing is good for casuals so it won't die for this reason. But to see that they still are trying to use their community for events like these makes me feeling weird.

With the way MHY is using the Genshin community like advertisment fodder, I don't want to know MHY. Love the talent there, and the games are pretty good, but hate the company after a year of Genshin crap this last 4 months.
I have no faith that Genshin will progress as a game (they've showed little or not signs of improvement in a lot of ways).
They focus their rewards on the game that is declining in popularity. Why bother to give good rewards to Genshin players, when everyone is basically hooked. They are trying to get more players back to Honkai.
The problem is Genshin makes a ton more money than Honkai, I believe Genshin already made more in 1 year than what Honkai made since launch.
Obviously miHoYo is super rich right now so they don't really care, but if people actually start quitting Genshin and the billions stop coming in, miHoYo will realize where their focus should be right now

These free promotion schemes always feel scummy, but like you said, this one is truly bizarre. It's almost as if they got a bad AI to design a community event and took the first horrid idea it spit out. It feels like Mihoyo just doesn't care what the community wants. It'd be one thing if everyone was demanding expansive multiplayer raid-like experiences, but we just want some sort of meaningful end game content.

Literally the only reason that I haven't quit is that I've spent over 1k on the game during the year before the whole anniversary shit and I don't want to lose that. Plus, the actual game developers are genuinely good and made a beautiful game with amazing lore and music. The events and characters are still so fun to me. The ONLY thing is the PR. If the PR team was on the level of the people actually making the game, this game would be perfect.

Last I checked miHoYo's posted financial info some months back, Genshin was still making upwards of 40x that of Honkai collectively across all servers. Yet in Genshin they are absurdly stingy with rewards, the way their banners work are far, far worse in Genshin, there's no characters that can be farmed in Genshin through game play, while since launch all equivalent 4* characters, and some equivalent 5* characters can be farmed from in-game content in Honkai, and on, and on.
Honkai is miHoYo's love child game, Genshin is just their cash cow.
Honkai 3 was kind of stingy early on. No competition until Punishing Grey Raven which released 3 years after in CN. Basically, 3 years with no competitor. PGR released and MiHoyo gave everyone an S-rank.
@@digichu007 One may regard the rewards to have gotten better after PGR, but it had all 4* equivalent characters, and even some top tier ones that could be farmed through content from the start, much better banner mechanics than Genshin has, the old bounty system for equipment farming wasn't as good as the new one, but it at least worked okish while there weren't as many things to get through it early on, and other such things.
The stinginess demonstrated with Genshin, and how they seem to expect everyone to be at "end game" given the nature of challenge events, while at the same time still not adding anything new to do at end game is just nuts.

It is completely normal for a new game, in the first while to be in a state that when people rush through content at launch, will be sitting around complaining about there being nothing to do, not enough end game content, and so forth. But after a year, no way, companies normally would have at least started filling out the end game content after two updates, or so.
We're at about ten updates in now, and miHoYo still has not added **anything** in the way on repeatable end game content, nothing, zilch, nada, zip. That is not normal at all. To say "it's only been a year" is crazy, that was *MORE* than enough time to add something, redesign the artifact system, or anything else, but nope, just more new areas with one time only content, and resource farm areas, one time only story content, which they have been rushing through lately, temporary events, and the teapot, that's it.
If destroying Genshin’s reputation is their way of advertising Honkai Star Rail, it’s working. Perfectly.

Why? Because it’s a good game, it doesn’t need to bribe players with hundreds of free pulls. They are businesses, they’re here for money.
If one of them is overly generous, it’s not just pure kindness, there is always a good reason for that and most of time it’s because players are leaving (meaning the real game isn’t enough to keep them entertained) and bribing them with gifts works reeeaaaallllly well, to the point where people may say X game is better than Genshin because they are more generous.
But if you look at the game itself, none of them can compete with Genshin (music, animations, environment design, open world, sound design, story, graphics,etc.)

After a long event similar to the little Oceanid and we get to keep the bot, letting us change it's form to help in a fight.

Of course the higher ups do communicate but not the actual developers. PR/Marketing/Community workers are usually completely detached from game developers. But that doesnt mean the PR team cant make a mistake and do this silly community challenge. They should know the mood of the players and act accordingly. But maybe they really thought itd be funny and lighten the mood?

When Blue Protocol releases globally and Tower of Fantasy releases in China, I'm hoping that it will serve as a wake up call to mihoyo since players will have more options.
Both games look cool, but I'm playing Genshin on PS5 and both games are only on PC or mobile.
Obviously, the PS playerbase is like 15% only so Genshin will still be affected if the rest switch to other games. I'm just saying I wish I had the option too

honestly mihoyo is so stingy with giving us any real rewards, even when it comes to just in game exploring. i usually just read/watch a summary of the livestreams so when they announced the new chest type i just thought oh cool i will get some free blueprints too?? but no that's ALL u get. no primos, no exp books, no mora. not to mention some of the chests u get for the puzzles in inuzuma , they downgraded their types or just straight up reward u with an exclusive chest for a very complex puzzle. and like i get it inuzuma is supposed to be harder and more difficult but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't get a decent reward for the challenges?? it just feels so frustrating when u spend even more time on the game just to get less rewards. and idk maybe im being a bit greedy but i don't think im the only one that's getting a bit annoyed with all those small things especially when they aren't the only problems with the game rn
common chests in inazuma now provide primogems and all chest in inazuma have something to level up the tree that you could turn in for various rewards

So I see what mihoyo is doing, they are trying to probably be the first to create the first ever virtual reality mmo and make bank. So they team up with Elon and create a new generation of video games

People are already thanking MHY when they throw them few primos and resins. Now that Itto and Gorou are announced, some are already planning to spend money again. Genshin community is a mess so MHY is gonna take as much advantage of it as they can.

If not for those 60 primos, nobody would do even those dailies. Many AR56-57 players aren't even using all their free resin anymore. Majority of the playerbase is doing events on the last day just to get the "important/useful" rewards from exchange. Not more than 5-10% players bother to get the grindy milestones that offer 4 weapon enhancement ores.

The paimon part in the beginning came across as ransom and the rest came across as using us to clout chase. ALSO genshin has 2.4M on the main account. I legit stopped playing Destiny 2 and played Genshin full time when it came out but it progressively gave me reasons to go right back to Destiny and now I’m full time playing Destiny 2, spending all my money there and I’m losing all my hype to co to use playing Genshin. Like I come back for specific characters and I enjoy the gameplay but when it comes to community events, it’s just kinda garbage.
A lot of companies use their playerbase/fanbase to market their product/game, and i'm cool with that - it makes perfect business sense. But if they wanna do this, they must give something useful in return. Basically, good Costumer-Business rapport. It doesn't even make sense business speaking because why do your company to leave a bad taste on people lol.
I mean I get it. It's business. But ruining your own rep makes no sense. You can't expect people to help and not give them any recognition or something useful in return. Like what is this? Why would anyone want to follow. What will we gain from doing so? Why would i want to watch some stream that I have no interest in. Why would I care about someone going to mihoyo HQ. A rich enough person can ask for permission and pay for a 1 day visit or whatever. Like seriously this event makes zero sense

I can understand man. I'm reaching my boiling point too. In most games, the anniversary month offers a lot of energy (resin) or bonus Rewards so that people could play more during that time. But in genshin the anniversary was nothing. Totally dry.
They did give some resin in mail problem is they only gave it after review bombing and still continuing not to communicate

I agree with better manegment and generosity in Honkai.
I started to play the game 5 days ago and on level 37 account I already have 20 characters and five of them are S-tier _(one upgraded from lower tier to S-tier)_ and still I have not obtained all free characters and "wishes" - the important point here is, the free characters are good, not useless like Amber or under-performing like Lisa/Traveler.
From achivements I recived ton of "Mora" and "Gems", in game are daily rewards, value-able expedition, co-op and option when armada _(aliance/clan)_ can help to you with building heroes _(by giving the fragments to upgrade them)_ a many other things which helps you in progress.
Probably biggest bonus what I like is system of itemizations your heroes. You no need farm stupid RNG artifacts but they are replaced with 3 slots for stigmata _(fully craftable or obtainable from wishes)_
Combat in my opinion is more deep and fun, and whole dodge system is so satisfying.

Good PR and publicity bring more players and probably part of the group of new players, pay in-game for anything.
The generosity exist It's because the game is 5 years old. They have to add new features for new players to easily join the game late. Those rewards you've said and how fast the proggress wasn't a thing years ago. It took me like 6 days to reach level 20 back then and level 40 was a hard stuck. Late game on Honkai is pure hell of dificulty. Especially if you fight Nihulus :v
Also note that A rank upgraded to S doesn't mean it's equivalent as S rank base. Even SSS on A rank base characters. "Free characters are good" Bro, ur literally still in early game. On mid-late game, B rank like White comet can't do anything. Also, on late game only a few A rank base character can play. I just wanna say that you've got a misconseption about the game and was just trying to say it so no offense bro
@@kuromaki6226 I understand, the early-mid content is easier, but stats different between my pulled S-tier Yae Sakura _(Mecha - Goushinnso Memento)_ and free S-tier Seele/Vollerei _(Quantum - Swallowtail Phantasm)_ is literally in weapon, when Yae is holding 5-star weapon and Seele 4-star.
And usefulness free characters is great too and offering more combos, for example Bronya _(Psychic - Yamabuki Armor)_ is super for shielding your characters and another Bronya _(Psychic)_ offering huge black hole to make crazy combos.
Even Raiden Mei _(Biologic)_ as free dps character can make great job _(I just guess, no training her, because my Yae)_
I have now on bench S-tier characters as backup, if would late game to hard, but no training them now and rather then spend the resources on leveling them and gearing up bunch of characters, I'm keeping 3 of them on max possible level and keeping up rest resources.
@@_Libosido We call those S tier that you've upgraded still as a A rank base and most end game players upgrade those to SSS. Goushinsou memento is the only S rank from what you've mentioned and most of them are old valks. Goushinsou memento is one of the oldest valk while Selee came 2 years ago which sort of explains why there are any bare differences btw and stats isn't everything. Those passives of each skills mayter the most including the stigmatas set. So I suggest you get a newer battlesuit for mid-late game (just keep your current comp for early)
Yamabuki armor is really great if you SSS her and Give full augment.
Most valks that you've mention other than her is useless on end game like literally unplayable. Unless you have her full set weapon and stigmatas (signature) to a almost decent level
Do note that Early-Mid game is way way different from late game (more than you think). as without any proper build and support, even your god tier dps don't even scratch them. That's why the generosity exist. Without any of those, you would've suffered pure hell 😩. If you haven't played till chap 17 you won't understand what I'm talking about 😂
Generosity only exist once it is required. That's my point btw. Currently genshin's generosity isn't required "yet"

Ya know this might sound weird but coming to play this game after elder scrolls online, genshin really dropped the ball on events. I remember the last big community event ESO did that I participated in. They gave away an in game house to everyone who owned the new dlc for having x number of players discover all the landmarks on the new map. The entire community got super hype people were basically ubering players to their undiscovered locations and social media absolutely blew up from all the players working together. They gave away like 20 bucks of rewards to everyone and the entire community loved it because of how the event was structured. It was a community event that encouraged the country to work together and rewarded them for it.

I feel that Genshin in their eyes was always meant to be the money maker and Honkai (especially their baby Kiana) was the project they put all of their effort in. If have you watched the 5th ani stream for Honkai, you would that it was such an emotional sight seeing them talk about how far they have gone with Honkai and how greatful they were to be here. Even outside of ani, the Herrscher of Flames Kiana battlesuit reveal stream with all the devs talking about the creation behind it, it showed how much they cared for their creations. They wanted to make a character that not only will we want to play as but also to be as close to her real character in the story. I have been with Honkai since the beginning and I can say that even if there were some pretty bad times in its run, there was never the level of dissrespect towards the players that Genshin has. If I remember correctly we didn't even get an ani stream, we only got a video that let's be honest any editor no matter the level of skill can make. The Genshin team constantly spits on our faces and instead of doing something we just lick the spit and ask for more. Even if we do something, the community just forgets what they were doing after a week and then we see the next "mommy" or "daddy" character and the cycle continues. Would a developer have respect for a community they KNOW they can manipulate easily, just by showing them the new shiny thing. And when we rebel what do we do? We don't try to communicate instead we try to bombard not only their ratings, but also OTHER GAMES"S RATINGS. Yeah, I no thanks.
