I remember this event. I remember doing this event. So many restarts cauae I got hit or didn't make in time. It was a a pain. Neve again mohoyo. No no no no no no no 😅
i played since the release of the game, and i gotta tell you. For me the delivery event is the most traumatizing aspect of Genshin impact. More than floor 12 of the abyss
I’ve been a very consistent player since game launch, logging in literally the minute of the servers going live to now where I have a very strong account. There are 2 events I did not complete Hypostatic symphony 1 my account was too weak to get max rewards And delivery event… I took a break from the game for a week. And is to this day the only break I’ve taken from the grind.
I played since a month after launch and I only remember bits and pieces of that event because I just gave up doing that event kekw. I sadly dropped the game a bit after the first anniversary since I'm a mobile player but really considering on redownloading it 😭
At the time it was actually just more efficient to use your resin that way though. The rewards were significantly better than what you'd get from grinding domains and ley lines, and it also was in 1.1 so the cap was increased to 160.
Did you guys remember that one delivery where we needed to deliver food to a person standing on tge cliff next to Dawn Winery? The challenge was that we couldn't be affected by any elements, we couldn't sprint, and we couldn't take any damage; otherwise, the food would turn bad. So our only option was to climb the mountain on the right (if we stand next to a teleporter in dawn winery), but the only problem is that hilichurls with elemental bows pop out of nowhere, and now you're not only fighting against time but also against not being affected by any elements and not taking any damage. It took me a few tries to complete it.
@@cydzerlight1383 Worse, the majority players (including myself) hadn't maxed up the statues of 7 of Mondstadt and Liyue during that period, and we always ran out of stamina halfway through the cliff.
You could take the longer route to avoid the enemies, i swear i missed out by not making video guides for this event, i thought it was easy but apparently everyone struggled

If I recall correctly, many players were just starving for Liyue-based events. When the Lantern Rite event was released, we didn’t even get to interact or see any Liyue characters on the overworld besides Xiao. It was a real letdown for those who wanted to see their favorite Liyue characters get screentime, but instead of that we just did random requests for random Liyue NPCs. That led some to think that Mihoyo loves Mondstadt more than Liyue when the Windblume event was released. They also had a really cool event that had interactions between playable characters Fischl and Mona, some lore-heavy implications and the first introduction to Scaramouche. Then you have Mondstadt 5 stars being meta like Venti, Diluc and Klee (for being Pyro) while you have Liyue 5 stars like Zhongli, who had to be buffed to be playable, Keqing who was considered mid, and Qiqi. There was Ganyu too, but it took a while before she was hailed as the best DPS.
Was Zhongli actually that unplayable? I am not big on game mechanics and got him just because I liked him - I thought he was alright in my team of little baby characters. From what I remember people were mostly screaming about him not making enough damage - but that was basically due to the fact that he was made to be support/shielder in the first place and not actually do a lot of damage? I never got to really dig to the core of people throwing fits about that one - and also don't remember if they were happy with the buff or just accepted it as "at least they did something".
I think I'm the only one who actually liked this event, it taught me that I could use plunge attacks to negate fall damage and the vast majority of deliveries were fun (boat girl is not included, I ended up having to use geo traveller's rock to get to her). I really hope it comes back in a revamped form someday with a lot of the issues ironed out.
There you go, the event forced you to have to think creatively outside the box to solve problems. The person at Hoyoverse who created this was probably a sadistic school teacher before. I myself joined Genshin like almost a year later so I never saw these events. If I had, I probably would have quit Genshin.
honestly same as well, this event taught me about the plunge attack negate and thank god I learn that because I HATED the one where you can't clime, run get wet, glide, and your spawn is at the mountain (you also don't have a custom spanner to use in the old days in Genshin)
for a second i thought this was gonna be about an event that happened after i stopped playing and i was gonna come in and be all like "haha wow i missed some crazy stuff huh" and then i realized what you were about to talk about and alllll the bad memories of this event came back 😭 i still remember stepping in a puddle that looked no deeper than my ankle at best and having the food be considered wet
It wasn't bad imo, it required us to get an idea of the entire surroundings such as checking for puddles, cryo/pyro flowers, electro crystals, know the enemy locations. There were even some creative ideas the community found back in the day for this event such as sliding down cliffs to cut time, last second plunge attacks instead of gliding. The one and only shitty thing was as you shown at 4:37, and it was even worse on mobile. It took some retrying but I would say it was definitely fun. The most annoyed I felt was with 1.3 Lantern Rite side-quests. There were like 20 quests with random NPCs. That was such a chore

The food delivery reminds me of the the delicate flower quest from hollow knight but specifically the video of a guy going through the path of pain for unnecessary hardness. Just pure suffering.
I still remember that customer in liyue in the stone gate above the plateu. I climb all the way up there and when im finally 4 steps near him, it rained.
Ah I remember the time where the only way to finish the event is to commit firefly depopulation because you can cheese the event by just placing Teleporters next to the recipient.
Back in my days the food event is so horrible that if a single atom in your character touched an element, you need to redeliver the food and pray to not rain And the second thing i hate long long long time ago.... was Reckless Pallad And i still remember when Ayaka achieved eternity
The worst part is I was sitting here like “please don’t trash talk theater machanicus” cause that was the only one I thought people would dislike. As soon as you mentioned food delivery I had PTSD flash back to a time and place I had whipped from my mind
I know for sure I was playing when this event was going on but I can't remember it for the life of me aside from recognizing the delivery selection menu. I think my brain suppressed all the memories for my own safety. 😭
There's bad PTSD from an event and then there's good PTSD from an event like the 2.3 Shadows Amidst Snowstorms. Genshin hasn't traumatized me as well as they did then since.

I joined genshin a month or 2 after its release, played for a few months, then didnt come back until after inazuma was fully released so I missed quite a lot... but I also know a lot about it too lol. I VIVIDLY remember smashing the FUCK out of my square button to trigger the conversation before the inevitable water touches my character's foot and i have to do it all over again BECAUSE THE GUY WAS ON A ROWBOAT IN THE WATER
I remember joining on 1.3 and failing to understand how to play the delivery minigame and comunity memes about it. Took me nearly 3 years to realize it wasnt a secret daily mission or something
Man I had completely ERASED this crap from my mind. Like I had to watch you talking about it to actually remember it! Seems like it caused one hell of a pain for me too since My mind simply blocked it. Thank god they didn’t add this crap again
I've been playing the game since day one and I swear this is the only event that made me want to throw my computer out the window. I'm just glad it came out before Inazuma because that would have been hell.....especially Tatarasuna.....
I have to blame that anni drama, because of that i play genshin seriously got my Kokomi (1st 5 stars) in the middle of Kokomi drama and still playing after 2 years.
I woyld like this event to return with even more insane ways to annoy and trigger players, now we have way bigger map for this xD and also to test players skills cause it was so long ago.

Don’t forget the VERY FIRST event with Albedo and the alchemy forge that you HAD TO do in co-op and HAD TO spend SIXTY of your only ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY resin to claim the rewards of…
i forgot about this event, but everytime i do the food delivery daily my brain makes sure there’s no failure criteria for some reason… i think im traumatized 😂😂
i enjoyed this event it, not a casual dialogue skipping hilichurl killing event. it was challenging. i understabd the mobile players, where the connection is usually unstable though.
Not only connection but the device performance itself,potato PC or mobile user will stay away from this event because of the shitty timer, glad I still have decent mobile
Okay this brings so many memories. I was a new player and didn't realoze it was an event until now. I have to deliver food somewhere far in 90 seconds without using the teleporter. I tried and I failed the task. I did not play the food delivery quests again. 🤣
I joined GI during the mid of 1.1 (somewhere when the 1st Childe banner was about to end) and experienced this trauma and I instantly got flashbacks of doing this event and in agony yelled "NOOOO NOT THIS NO NO DON'T 😭😭" the amount of trauma this event single-handedly gave ;-; (esp to complete new newbies who has no max sprint)
Got trauma but at least better than current main events. All are just fight enemies/Doing music thing/ Time challenge thing and we get currency tk exchange for weapons/characters

Getting affected by Pyro in plain grass kept happening to me. No Flaming Flowers or anything of Pyro nearby, yet it kept happening in the same spot.
My pc took 10 minutes to even teleport. I could not survive this event.

I have to blame that anni drama, because of that i play genshin seriously got my Kokomi (1st 5 stars) in the middle of Kokomi drama and still playing after 2 years.
now make a top 10 genshin even that drove players MAD
I woyld like this event to return with even more insane ways to annoy and trigger players, now we have way bigger map for this xD and also to test players skills cause it was so long ago.

That event was so bad that I think I repressed the memory of me doing it because even seeing it played I dont even remember myself doing it but I KNOW I did it
All you had to say is "You know how in Mondstadt you go to Good Hunter..." and my stomach dropped, lmao. When I think of 1.1 I think of the Mona / Fischl / Scaramouche event, which was great. I had completely forgotten about this nightmare.
Thank God I had to go on vacation shortly after that event came out, I played some of it and hated it-

i forgot about this event, but everytime i do the food delivery daily my brain makes sure there’s no failure criteria for some reason… i think im traumatized 😂😂
i enjoyed this event it, not a casual dialogue skipping hilichurl killing event. it was challenging. i understabd the mobile players, where the connection is usually unstable though.
Not only connection but the device performance itself,potato PC or mobile user will stay away from this event because of the shitty timer, glad I still have decent mobile

Okay this brings so many memories. I was a new player and didn't realoze it was an event until now. I have to deliver food somewhere far in 90 seconds without using the teleporter. I tried and I failed the task. I did not play the food delivery quests again. 🤣

I remember this event and reeally hated it. There is a bush that when you approach you get pyro status. Hated it.
I joined GI during the mid of 1.1 (somewhere when the 1st Childe banner was about to end) and experienced this trauma and I instantly got flashbacks of doing this event and in agony yelled "NOOOO NOT THIS NO NO DON'T 😭😭" the amount of trauma this event single-handedly gave ;-; (esp to complete new newbies who has no max sprint)
i bet genshin department in hoyoverse HQ in china have a sadism team that comes with the ideas of how to torture players till everyone quits
Got trauma but at least better than current main events. All are just fight enemies/Doing music thing/ Time challenge thing and we get currency tk exchange for weapons/characters
