I find the dryer handy, but if you take the meat, it instantly spoils in my backpack. You need to eat if directly from the dryer. Just a quick clarification.
is this a bug? I cannot even use the dryer correctly no matter what the food keeps spoiling so idk how to use that thing despite reading and seeing it on the wiki
Correction if you are building a base of any decent size out of mud the mud charcoal is also necessary, as you can't passively produce enough campfire ash to complete the job.
Came here to find out if i can have more floors on my tree house, now i know there is something like wet and dry season 😂 thanks mate for this tutorial
@@basebard Thanks, I'll probably build another base in the area... mainly been doing Tree bases and made an Ewok Civilization in the trees... it also somewhat trivialized needing the Climbing Hook... Any plans to do a build video on Tree House settlements and all the tips and tricks to get those going at full blast? or maybe one on the Firekeeper Horde Mode base style?
@@jakeforgey5378 what do you mean you made Ewok Civilization in the trees? :D Hmm I didn't think there was much to say about tree houses (except just the very basics which may be confusing for new players), what did you have in mind?
@@basebard Basically, I made a bunch of Tree House 3x3s and connected them, this allowed me to easily go almost anywhere, and I made each one a home in the trees... I also had a crap ton of traps...
@@jakeforgey5378 oh that's awesome, I wanted to do that but I couldn't find a place where there would be enough large trees around. where did you do that?
How do I actually build the tree house? Also, any recommendations for building a base in a no water zone? You said build a mud shower, but I need water to make the mud....
You need to build a tree house frame by looking at the trunk of a brazil nut tree Regarding no-water zone... yeah that's a problem, I had to carry all that stuff on a sled - pretty time-consuming, but maybe there's a river nearby?
@@rixxy9204 yep, you just bring resources and look up with your mouse and try to aim into each resource slot as indicated. It will later let you use a rope to get into your house. It's clunky like that
idk how you call traps "situational" I just got the game so Iam still a begginer and I was not aware how unlock the basic traps, and was constantly pestered by Juaguars and Natives
Jaguars and natives are not a big problem, really, you just have to learn how to fight them :) but by all means, if traps work for you. I just found them sub-optimal
@@basebardyou have to make a place to funnel them into your base and force them to run into traps. Also animal traps (killer trap is best imo) are amazing ways to get food and bones.
What bed and what structure? Beds should fit under a frame with a roof. If you're talking about beds and shelters, read this: greenhell.fandom.com/wiki/Building#Shelters_2
I dont like animal husbandry that much i still get the frog strecher caus ewhy not hah but i probably debushed about half of the forest just feeding the capyies unless the devs fixed this they need to add another way for animals to eat that wont involve spending 90 percent of my day grabbing leaves
exactly, lol. You can see in the video I had 2 pens, but one of them is empty. I wasn't expecting to need so much food (RIP my tapir friend), can't imagine how many plants I'd need to grow just to satisfy a couple of those gorgers for a sustained period of time
Husbandry are only good for producing Fertilizer for Plant Cultivation, snare trap is the best for catching animal. You can plant trees on the roof top on the trees house where provide up 60 sqt for you to plant massive of trees
You forgot about the greatest tip ever : DO NOT BUILD YOUR BASE NEAR A MICE SPAWN LOCATION or else your real life sanity will suffer 😅
I actually did and liked them, they're my little furry pets, and they always run into those stone traps :P
I find the dryer handy, but if you take the meat, it instantly spoils in my backpack. You need to eat if directly from the dryer. Just a quick clarification.
Works with the grill rack and stone ring too, even with perishables that can't be cooked
if you let it dry all the way it should'nt spoil right away but it could be a bug that was happening during the flame keeper update
is this a bug? I cannot even use the dryer correctly no matter what the food keeps spoiling so idk how to use that thing despite reading and seeing it on the wiki
I don't think is a bug, you must construct a platform with a roof over the dryer so it won't spoil.
Dried meat last any where from 3-5 days once fully dry.
I can have a pet capybara? Looks like the game for me.
The same reason me and my little brother brought the game 😂
I ALWAYS settle down at the Docks it's by far the best location
Why
I really liked your guide, different than what's out there. Happy building 😀
Thanks! Hope you found it useful :) Are you new to the game?

@@trashmakr I see. How did you stumble on this video if I may ask?
@basebard It was recommended on TH-cam feed based on my recent views, most likely.

You're welcome!
meat does go bad in drier, it just takes longer then in your backpack
Thanks for making this video. Very well explained
You're welcome! Love your shoebill avatar, one of my favorite birds :)
Thank you. Inspiration came from Kracc Bacc's The W.
They just added fences!!!
EXCELLENT TUTORIAL.
Glad it was helpful!
Have the fixed people and animals going through the walls?
Grate Video keep on
Question... where did you make your floating base? I recognize the area, but can't remember the coordinates...

made the mistake of placing my armadillo that took me an hour to get back home 3 feet from the river therefore drowning it on the spot

Natives can swim I have noticed.
They couldn't at the time of recording this video. Maybe you saw them wading through very shallow water/bugging out?
