If you build with lots of stone, ignore the stone storage and just have Kelvin complete the fireplace blueprint structure.when you want the stones, disassemble the fireplace toward a log cart to auto collect nearly all of them.
thats awesome lol - i jus started a game on the hardest diff.idk wtf to build tho, i was guna hug a cliff near a pond for stones but im near too many roads. there are so many good spots but a bit harder to find one that can support you during the winter
One of the better building mechanics imo. Fallout 4s building was horrible so war Day z. The only games to have a really good mechanic was this one, Enshrouded and Minecraft.
@@j-s-m IMO it's more Sons of the Forest, Enshrouded and valheim. You don't really have a 'free' build in minecraft, everything need to fit as a square. But the voxel add a lot for the creativity of course. In comparaison, in valheim/Enshrouded, you can take a plank and put it everywhere on the wall, The placement is totally free. Everything need to 'snap' in minecraft

It locks the diagonal beam in place, enabling the vertical snap point :) #37 is also not needed anymore since there are corner ramps now. intruded and extruded. The triangular frames no longer need a vertical beam. but i can't make corner overhangs and arch bridges anymore. Since 1.0... :)
i feel with the handcrafted firewood walkway if you lined the edges with stone it would add even more to it incredibly so if you incorporated a creek or something running through your base

How do you create the fence at #12 because for me after i put the 2 sticks pointing up on the existing fence it won't let me put the 2 sticks in the middle like a fence, just sticks pointed in random directions??
IMPORTANT: If you are trying to build upon existing structures and the software won't let you do it, this is probably due to the existing structure being damaged. The game won't let you build upon damaged structure. So grab your repair tool and fix stuff. THEN you will be able to continue building.
Install WeMod and activate it while you are in the game menu. Then activate the option to enable the debug console Press F1 and type LogHack On to activate it, and then LogHack Off to deactivate it
when ur in the game...just standing there...type *cheatstick* ...just type it with ur keyboard even tho there is nothing to actually type it into...and after that u can press F1 and when the console commands are there u can type *loghack on* and if u dont want it u can type *loghack off*
This game seriously just needs to remove the building restrictions / add a modifier key to ignore them. They clearly are screwing up the 'restrictions' resulting in needing to do dumb workarounds like 5:05. And we're already existing in a world where you can build on Ice and have a floating house in the summer. So just let the players have fun.

Building in sons of the forest is immensely satisfying... if not a little frustrating at times 😂
The realistic nature of chopping down trees and managing wood structures is what sold me on it

With floors, if you simply right click it will change the orientation of the planks/stones. No need to worry about angles or existing structure.
