I had "escaped" one or two years ago in solo and I loved it. Yesterday night I started a play through with my wife and it was a blast. Cooperative mode adds a whole new level of fun and skills, taking care of each other, e.g. First time in six years marriage I played a video game with my wife :))
I swear to you, I bought this game 4 days ago... I like it, it's kinda slow paced but you still gotta pay close attention to what you're doing. I've finally made it to 55 days.
Massive potential , shame devs burned out, i spent a bunch of hours but it just STILL feels not completed, and i wont even mention the ending oof.. Hope they keep updating and adding stuff ,altho I doubt it will pan out, would recomend it only when its on a SALE otherwise it aint worth :) Edit: Great video you realy touched on almost all points props!
@@zrakonthekrakon494 Deff is,if u like survival games and island survival its fun,the problem is if you supported and followed them, they let the community down by burning out and giving up on the ending
I have 2265 hours in this game, much thanks to the editor where i can build my own islands. i never fought a boss or completed a run, i have two scenarios with several hundreds of days on them. I guess it's not for everyone, but i think you forgot to cover the cartographer function? it's absolutely my favorite part of this game.
@@coreyfountain5333 Do you mean like post my islands in the Workshop? If so I'm sorry i don't really know how too, the explanation i got once, on how too was a bit confusing. So i left it. Also, my islands have a ton of materials on them because i like to build like a lot XD, so it's a lot to organize to begin. I do think they are pretty when thats done though :)
I left a gigantic 5000 word review on this game a couple of years ago, it had epic potential and seemed like it was going to be an incredible game… then it just went downhill from there. Whether it was just over ambition or lack of interest, the devs seemed to give up and scale it back so much that you pretty much can do (complete) the game in just a few hours. When I played it last year it is painfully easy and within 2-3 hours I was already realizing that there was nothing else to do. It really is such a shame
Imagine if BeamTeam (Stranded devs), Vector3 (Sunkenland Devs), Redbeet (Raft), & all the others who do similar, teamed up pooling ideas & resources, rather than stretching budgets competing for the same audience$
I loved the game until I realized you had to fight giant sharks to win. Idk why it kinda ruined the immersiveness for me, but I still really enjoy the game! Crafting is fun and just surviving is fun, I just never see myself actually finishing the game.
At first I thought it was great. Buuuuut…minimal items respawn, the water requirement is higher vs playing multi/single player, and try flipping over a 5 by 5 panel raft. And the building mechanics…not able to place in certain spots, that are completely clear…I went from loving to hating…quickly.
I mean it says procedural generation. But I started three worlds and had the exact three starts every time, from underwater to island locations etc Honestly it seems more like they slapped the tag on but didn't actually implement it, thinking nobody would want to play multiple files.
@@mort4930 So... proving the point then. You have to specifically request a different spawn, which means it's not procedurally generated if it always generates the same things without manual interference.
@@Azothifyno thats not how it works, it is like making a minecraft world and everytime you make a new world it takes the same seed unless you gemerate a new one. its still procedurally generated, it just keeps the same seed until you change it.
I like this game. Anyone have any recommendations for similar games? No zombies or heavy action please. Just survival, home-stead style in beautiful scenery
jst stumbled across this. i love this game. been playing it off and on since early access days. only part i dont like about the game that ruins the experience for me is texture pop ins and pop outs that exist in this game. the rener distance is really bad in this game. ships you come up to dont fully render until youre like 10 feet in front of them and same goes for rocks on the islands and even your crafted buildings. id like the game a lot more if the devs fixed the render issues. but still a rather small complaint. the game ist self does grat for the survival vibes
This game took me 4 years to finish. Why? Because the navigation system in this game 100% trash. You literally have to go to the main menu and to view the map. That right there makes this game suck hands down.
The downfall of this game was when they changed engines. The game felt so much better with the original engine. I just don't think they ever could get it to work like they thought the would.

I've been playing this game since the demo, and it still holds up, best relaxing survival game ever.
Relaxing?!? I was traveling in my boat just to get flipped in the middle of the ocean and got eaten by some sharks

How is this not a 3+ player game!? Only 2!!! It’s a survival game bruh 💀
I remember when it was a very simple game back in 2015, i kinda miss that version of the game.
Is this game support 60 fps on ps5?
I just played it for the first time on my channel. Personally, I’m enjoying it so far!

You have to change the islands in the cartogropher, to make them rondomized

Green Hell, if you turn off enemies it's very quiet survival and building in the amazonian forest, it's very realistic and gorgeous.

Grounded? Green hell, astroneer, subnautica, no man s sky, tribes of midgard, the settlers?

Stranded deep and Green Hell are the best survival games for consoles !!
No. You’re better off playing Green Hell. It has so much more to offer and it’s pretty similar to Stranded Deep.
Im playing right now. Ill never leave my island's.
This game would be worth playing if it didn’t run like shit
The Forest, Green Hell, Subnautica, Breathedge, even Starsand are best ones, stranded deep is good but very shallow
lol only reason people cry about this game. is because its single player :)
its co-op tho?
Anyone want to play on PlayStation?
Yes it's worth it
play sunkenland,alot better
Too many bugs to be worth playing.
