Thanks for explaining the gaff rig in such detail! I like it much more than the Bermuda, it's not only beautiful but simple in a hands-on way, it's "honest". However, watching you reef the mainsail makes me want a junk sail, which has to be my favorite for that reason. But, I just bought an old 25' gaff rigged spissgatter here in Norway, so I just have to get used to reefing a gaff sail 😊 I'd love to see more videos on the gaff rig. Glad you like it! Gaff sails are for sure much harder to handle and also less effective compared to bermuda. But they are so beautiful that you just have to accept that we are not looking for efficiency or easy handling.
