Roaring deer

Walking in the park in the evening, I heard a loud, for the whole forest, alarming and at the same time fearless roar of some beast. As there are no large predators in Hamburg, it soon became clear to me that I was hearing the roar of a deer. Usually they are somehow afraid of people, but not this time. Enjoy the film.

😂 great punishable moment!!
🙂
Awesome sailing
Thanks for explaining the gaff rig in such detail! I like it much more than the Bermuda, it's not only beautiful but simple in a hands-on way, it's "honest". However, watching you reef the mainsail makes me want a junk sail, which has to be my favorite for that reason. But, I just bought an old 25' gaff rigged spissgatter here in Norway, so I just have to get used to reefing a gaff sail 😊 I'd love to see more videos on the gaff rig. In any case, you have a new subscriber!
Glad you like it! Gaff sails are for sure much harder to handle and also less effective compared to bermuda. But they are so beautiful that you just have to accept that we are not looking for efficiency or easy handling.
@@Underbrownsails I agree with that. My mainsail should be small enough for me to handle, thankfully 🙂
very cool
WE saw your boat in Morlaix today! Very nice!! Nice trip, enjoy!
J'ai aperçu ton bateau à saint malo !
Qui:) je suis en Roscoff aujourd'hui. C'est joule Saint-Malo!
Lucky you! Hope our tour will be too 🙌🏼
I know 😂
Scottish?
Nope :)
Can you please have a tour of the engine room 😢
Sure! In one of the next video I'll show the engine room.
@@Underbrownsails Awesome 👍
Looks nice! 😊
Brilliant!
Legend has it, this is how the little mermaid ended up on the rocks, all those pheromones in the water
The best comment on this channel 😂
👍 as funny comment as it can be! I really enjoyed it :)
😂
This is a good idea😂!
many times I dove on a 40 footer in west indies, but that was 80 degree water and I had a brownie air pump. But, in Puget Sound the water was 40 degrees, the boat 65 feet no wet suit, no air supply - 3 dives
I Iive in Northern Norway, beyond the Arctic Circle, so no water is too cold for me :)
gaff rigged no winches no autopilot... nice job
Muy chulo .me encanta este barco .
Thanks so much Eugene for this beautyful video and goods words for us! 😊😊😊 Regards, captn. Juanjo Capo.
My pleasure!
Nice that you were invited aboard. Did you get an shots of video to share with us, please say yes...
DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!…😃😁🤣
Much better than with the music, imho.
What's with the music? 🙉 Sorry.

Why aren't these halyards rigged with a block and pulley so the effort is decreased by one-third?
Sure, throat halyard blocks give x3 effort and pick halyard x2 effort. I would say, the effort on throat is decreased by two-thirds minus some waste on friction.
Joshua Slocum, who was the first person to sail around the World single handed, also says he sheeted his jib to the centre. Very good technique. I have also sailed in strong winds with the jib aback, as when hove-to, just to reduce power etc.
I have also read the book about Slocum with great interest and pleasure. We all have it so safely compared to him. I learn from such books, but my Navionics map is on.
Why does he this sound?
It's rutting time.
It's sexy time.
Keeping very fit, lovely workout.
Thank you! 😊
Awesome excercise! Great boat as well.
We agree :)
Bro you are crazy
Hey, I saw your ship in The Netherlands while you were waiting for the “Kaagbrug” to open somewhere at the end of June, and thought it looked very interesting. When I saw the TH-cam sign on the side I made a note to check out your channel, which I did today (and subscribed). Beautiful ship! Looking forward to your future content and adventures.
It is very nice that you remember the ship! Not so many of wooden boats ste left, so I notice them too and remember many of them. Greetings from France now :)
Fine Job! 👍
Thanks! 👍
as I said previously - its always nice to see i making sometthing good out of wood, trash and other kinds of "nothing" :)
Absolutely!
wow CLASSIC!
A very attractive ship with lots of beautiful wood and practical. Great to have a pretty wood stove which will keep you warm in cold weather! Happy home keeping!
Well said!
Nature’s beauty!
I always loved being in command of a ship and having a well organised and safe way to “manage ship”, with practice it’s possible to do well but I am getting rusty now in mid life and an electric winch for the tougher jobs is really appealing! Looking forward to learning something new from you in future lessons. Fair sailing, SkipRay, Kenmare Bay, SW Ireland.
Good job…good learning,video…thanks
Glad you liked it! We continue sailing and making more videos.
Lol only try this only at home not on your boat. Anyway great job. Greatly organised.
It was painful to watch you work so hard, single handed.
No gym needed :)
How does the jib return the boat to a dead down wind course? Is it simply by pulling from the front? I really like your videos so far. What a great boat.
Yes, when the boat deviates from the downwind course, the jib gets some wind and returns the boat back. It can sail like this for hours if the waves are not too big.
OMG.... You've managed to made a vid literrally out of nothing :)
Really enjoyed watching this. You are a true sailor and handle your boat with such ease.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Welcome in Vlaanderen 😊
This is so cute!
This is fun video 😂
So nice🎉
Nice work mate. What timbers is the boat made of I reckon I saw a little Huon Pine in the cabin. I notice you flying the Norwegian flag but is it a Norwegian built boat? There was a lot of Gaff rigged boats down here in Victoria and Tassie (Australia) so without seeing a side profile cannot see the style of boat. Thanks for sharing great videa. Subscribed!
Thanks. It is the Norwegian built fishing cutter from 1935 uppgraded in 1972. More details here: www.atlantictours.net
Absolutely lovely - where and when was she built? Tia
Thanks. Built on Stord Island, Norway, in 2935. Upgraded in 1973. More details here www.atlantictours.net
@Underbrownsails sorry, built in 1935 :)
Super!
