- Priyali Sur shares the stories of the women she met as a journalist, and tells us why their inspiring journey is a lesson in feminism.
Priyali Sur is a journalist and documentary film maker reporting on social and development issues with a focus on gender rights.
Priyali has in the recent past reported on the refugee crisis from Greece and Eastern Europe, highlighting the plight of women refugees and unaccompanied minors. Priyali started her career as a television journalist for India's CNN IBN, winning three national awards for her reporting. She also spent time in Washington DC in 2014 on a Fulbright fellowship. She is a contributing writer for the US Women Media Center, and works as a Consultant at the World Bank and is based in Washington DC.

I am a refugee woman from Iran and live in Turkey until to move to a safe country far from Iran and Turkey. Countries , please accept me to experience a normal life as soon as possible. I really need it. It is 4 years that I fled from Iran and waiting for the UN to give me a place to go. I have been hiding myself from people to survive. Thank you
In this and your earlier TED talk you publicly defame your ex husband for emotionally and physically abusing you. That's the exact same person that you drunk called few months ago and after that sent him a SMS saying that you still love him and that you want to be with him if not in this life then in the next. It looks odd that you would say/ write something like that to a person who abused you so badly. You divorced him, he gave you everything he had, you still intervene in his life and you have the audacity to defame him publicly and picture him as a wife beater. Please use another valve for your ego profiling, do avoid the hypocrisy and please do stay out of his life.
