ENGLAND v NORWAY traffic nightmare - VANLIFE UK

- In this episode we set off to meet up with Getaway Geese who have just returned to the UK from their trip to Ireland.
On the way we stop at Reading services to make lunch then head to the historic Roman town of Cirencester where we buy a blow torch, look round St John Baptist Church and do some window shopping.
After a warming cup of hot chocolate and coffee it’s time to head off to our park up. As the winter nights are drawing in we fit bubble wrap to some of the windows and heat up a homemade chilli.

I was about to write something suitably compassionate about being deprived of caramel toppings and then I heard the voiceover about shovelling food…I can’t help you, Ken, you talked yourself out of it 😂 My husband is on a diet too. I have to eat ice cream in the cupboard under the stairs with the hoover on and pretend I’m vacuuming. Cupboard has never been so clean 🤷♀️

Hello guys. I had the same problem with payment on numerous occasions. On one occasion a parking inspector was present and I asked her about the non payment problem. Her reply, we have this problem all the time ,according to her one of two things happen, the transaction takes to long so the card provider terminates the transaction or there is no web connection in the first place. I use the parking aps as much as possible but there are a lot of them. Ringo is quite common. I am impressed with the effort you put into your filming.Grat stuff.
Glad it’s not just us John. We have the same problem with the parking apps. I guess it is in areas where the internet connection is not good enough.

I think smart motorways with no hard shoulder are absolutely crazy! At one point on your journey you would have been around 2605 feet from my house as the crow flies, you should have tooted your horn:)

Nice to see Christmas window shopping in the UK. It has for many years been a dream of mine to see the Isle of Man and I have thus been following your channel since the Isle of Man videos (I watch everything I can find from IOM).
However, I did NOT expect to ever see you guys driving around in my neighbourhood of Nesttun, were it seems you spent the night from Saturday to Sunday when you were in Bergen, Norway. I was in Shropshire in november just to satisfy the anglophile in me and went over again for 5 days earlier this month. Great channel.

Yes, luckily it was a small car park and not very level. We had some surprise visitors in the morning though as you will see in the next video ☺️
Just hate those pay by mobile apps. Took us an age once to park. Had to download the apo and set it up, before we could pay. I was so long, Bernie came to look for me! Try to keep a few pounds in cash in the van now 🥴🐕🚙
Glad it’s not just us that can never get pay machines in car parks to work! I always carry a small purse with coins for emergencies (Carol ☺️) x

The traffic levels in this country drives me insane. I need to factor this in when we would just like to take a nice drive somewhere. Often anticipate what the journey will be like and stay local. Such a shame
It certainly hit us after driving around Norway where it was so quiet in comparison.

We have been following your adventures for quite sometime, however, we are not as brave as you two when it comes to wild camping despite watching your recent “ safety first” video. Anyway to conclude - glad your enjoyed our town of Cirencester if we’d known you were there we could have enjoyed a donut or a sausage roll together.

My grandparents and parents came from the Cotswolds and I know Cirencester very well. Did you visit Tetbury? Very small but charming place.

Hi Ken. Just want to say how wonderful these last few weeks have been with the Norway trip and now just finished the France Spain. The filming was impressive. I want to ask what editing app you use. Hopefully I movies which I have. Again thank you both so much especially you Charlie the fab Chef 👍
Loads of people use iMovie and I did at one time so nothing wrong with using that. I recently switched from Final Cut Pro to Davinci Resolve. It was painful to change but I think I am better off.

Ken : At the doctors the other day she suggested my tummy was getting a little larger and I said to her " you know it's the only good thing about having large breasts , I can't see anything from there down " we both had a good laugh and then she told me I needed to invest in a full length mirror . Lots of your blogs show you guys eating lots of unhealthy processed food such as bacon and sausages and I was thinking you’d put on a lot of weight Ken. Good on you for thinking about your diet, my advice from experience is to eliminate all processed foods and stick to more of a whole food plant based foods. I lost heaps of weight, reversed my angina and type 2 diabetes.
Congratulations on sorting out your health problems. Ken is working hard on cutting out carbs and processed food ☺️
