Don't immediately shut down the idea if you don't have any 3-2-1 talisman. There's a part in the video where I guide you to what skill you put in the builder / skill priorities etc. Who knows maybe a talisman you have that isn't 3-2-1 would be able to unlock the cheese. Been gunning for a decade and the moment l realized l was using this and seeing a lot of people using normal 3 on hunts l figured they finally had made normal just the way l wanted, sure you can do more madage up close with spread but with normal and ballistics you have insane damage uptime on any monster + it being very comfy and safe to use on harsher things too
Normal 3 HBG has been what got me through Sunbreak. It may not be the strongest, but it's also the easiest/most forgiving. Useful at both somewhat long and definitely good at close ranges, all the damage loaded into one shot (no dependency on ticks/pellets), and has the most shots before overheat in Crouching Fire
Normal 3 is comfy, the ease of mind personified
The fact that you can really machine gun them in crouching fire makes them much better
Really appreciate the template formula. Is it as minmaxd as a God charm loadout? Nah, but it IS getting me and many others to experiment and learn how to build with these skills on our own.
This expansion is the most I've ever experimented on my own with bowguns and its been a BLAST.
At least we got options! Something I hated from hbg and lbg in world was the lack of normal 3 choices, and having ruinous nergigante locked at mr100 to finally get something worth. Here? I can't decide between rathian, zinogre, final boss, magnamalo, and (oh boy, heavy biased) gore magala hbg. May give this a try since the dmg is good, but the clunkiness of the input when shooting is so annoying. That's the only reason I keep using hbg over lbg. Thx for sharing this build!

ahhh. When I heard you say steadiness 3 is basically an additional ballistics 1, I was like lol ya knew. I was trying to build with that garangolm set and had ballistics 3(since the sailor skirt was like 5 skills including ballistics 3). Then I remembered steadiness 3 and had to rethink it. Either way, I went with giasmagorm's gun for fastest reload so I can proc wyvern counter faster in case I reload, and use spread/ pierce with good recoil/reload when I switch from critical fire power to marksman. Eitherway, can't wait to hear more obscure information like the dango video you made. Thanks for the content.

I wanted to build n3 sets for monsters where the only juicy hitzones are the head, pierce kinda seems a waste in those situations. Also working on the spread sets rn.

Well, the bloodrite lvl 2 build can work if you have a lvl 2 steadiness & norm/rapid up with a lvl 2 slot talisman. Swap the arms armor piece to either barroth or jaggi

edit: no worries about something not being meta, most of us are here cuz we want all the info we can find. there are plenty of places to find what’s “meta.”. also, is Silkbind Boost just gone from the game? there doesn’t seem to be a rampage deco for it☹️..
Original Ramblings: if you’re an HBG guy, just sub in the Garangolm HBG and use the sh!t outta crouching fire to make up for the small clip (only 5) and the lack of critical firepower. the gun has more raw, especially with the power barrel, and the same slots as the LBG.
and if you know your monster, you can use C. Fire all the time. if you hold r2/ZR while coming out of a roll, you’ll go into it without standing up first. you also have a bit of hyper armor when using the move- things like tetranadon’s water bubble “toss” (i guess? the move where he spits a buncha bubbles) won’t knock you out of the move. i also tested using C. Fire every chance i got for a full 12 shots in between firing normally vs. only firing normally with the garangolm gun over the span of a minute, and with the build i had at the time (not this one) it did about 3.5k - 4k more damage than just firing normally. i doubt that’d be the same with a gun that had 10 N3 per clip, but with Golm, using CF matters.
...and to anyone about to comment “wE kNoW tHiS aLrEaDy,” not everyone spends their lives on reddit or discord (or even uses those site at all). not seen many vids on this on youtube, where we actually are now, so i’m just sharing what it know. that’s it. no need to be a butt. it may not be helpful to you, but it may be to someone else.

Basically what the first guy said. But tbh - I feel like this lbg beats the last boss for N3 just because of the slots because you can fit so much in.
Mech silkbind lets you turn your lbg into smg. It doesn't do much damage but really fun. I even made a smg build lmao.
Basically what I did with the Abyssal Hailstorm though it hits pretty decently

@@funky4280 only raw power and critical.. recoil, reload, etc is fixed. so you just need a set with highest raw possible and WB 2/3. the final boss lbg is perfect for smg build. It is highly customizable since you just need raw skills. You can slot in any survival skills like bloodrite/kushala's regen/extender/etc. I personally like to use redirection 2 too because lot of monsters have big AOE and sometimes force us to parry.
Don’t got an attack 3 4 slot but got a normal/rapid up 2 talisman with a 3-1-1 slot so might actually make a normal lbg set finally.
I'm that weird guy who played all of base rise (Pre Sunbreak) and all of Sunbreak up to HR100 with a N3 HBG :|
It's just way too satisfying to pop the range ring and snipe heads from an absurd distance.
Using rising moon and ballistics + sniper 3 is insanely fun. You can almost shoot the training dummy from the boat at the dock

in the topic of normal shots, I actually use the rarity 10 kamura lbg with pretty much the same skill set-up minus the ballistics range and bloodrite healing so its not as comfortable to use. however, the kamura lbg can use just 1 recoil down to use critical firepower at low recoil and it doesn't need quickload so you can go ham on offensive skills. by far my go to when farming a1 hunts for outfit tickets since you can finish the hunts around 6-8m without thinking as much. but since i have a fear of not using optimal builds by people smarter than me (metaslave) ill probably be swapping that out for this garangolm build.
I use the same gun but with rapid up and using normal 2s since they are rapid fire and the usual normal up 3, wex 3, crit boost 3, atk 4, and some utility and it outdamages normal 3. Havent tried garangolm rare 10 gun since I'm MR 40

AngBata you didn't show use what you did for ranged-centric. I'm having trouble getting the buddy skill on a palamute called ranged-centric and I have been cycling palamutes every hunt and no luck. I guess I could try palico but I don't think palicos and palamutes can transfer skills. That's the thing I keep on cycling palamutes and I'm not getting it with the skill. None of my current Palamutes have ranged-centric.
It only spawns on cats. Good news is your cat can teach your palamute the skill

ballistics and steadiness is a subjective thing. it varies from person to person. if you can live without it then just go for spareshot

why would you go silencer? If you can fit tune up 2 with long barrel go! If you want fastest relaod you need tune up 1 and the gun should not have a silencer or a long barrel

it’s not good to have it at peak. You have bloodlust and that thing actually hurts your uptime. Peak isn’t really that big.

yep. Espinas spread 2 rapid fire is sexy. Which spread 3 one? magna? or the last boss? a min maxed last boss lbg would probably still lead i feel
@@AngBata11 both actually. Though i compared them only side by side with the number of shots (20 shots ea). But in terms of DPS i think spread 3 will still win since firing RapidFire is "slower" than hitting spread 3.
And yes, spread2 rapid fire is super sexy and satisfaction in firing spread ammo, twice, on a monster is on another level

Is rapid fire 2 really not better? When I was messing around with it and normal 3 I was getting 220ish for normal 3 and around 310 for rapid fire normal 2, rajangs lbg. And with critical fire on the gun, you only need 2 points of recoil down and no reload speed deco. Even if not better it should at least compete no?
you are comparing on a per shot basis.
You already shot 2 shots of normal 3 by the time you finish shooting 1 bullet of rapid fire normal 2
and if i remember correctly furious rajang doesnt let you move.

@@AngBata11 I read to quickly, I was talking about regular rajang lbg. It shoots rf n2 with walking shots and walking reload. I believe it does the same with normal3 but party sure it's outclassed by other guns at it.

damn. I say blood rite 3 too much man. Try to reach attack 7 or something. but that is good. Tbh maybe you can make it work with fastest reload. See if you can do tune up 1 there and still keep the other stuff - just remember to make your gun baked if you are going for fastest reload
