I am being myself. If you don't know me personally how would you know? The problem is because Derek is the most popular everyone assumes the rest are just hangers on. But I gotta say, this video was made with the intention of complete satire and a roll of the eyes. "Drive it a mile and a half, give or take a few feet" 😏
Joking about chrome parts adding horsepower has been around since hot rodding began, long before Derek, VGG, internet, etc. Getting projects running good enough to get home has been around as long as car guys have been trying to avoid paying for towing. VGG is great. This guy is new to me, but I'm enjoying his content too. So, Allen Snyder, instead of playing "gotcha", how about you watch a car channel like this gentleman's, get yah some inspiration, and wrench on your projects.
Yep, I'm old enough to remember that saying👍 also "checkbook build" "trailer queen" come to mind. I like the variety you have on your channel. I have four daughters and an awesome wife that all love cars. Myself and two of my girls have projects ranging from my 64 Ford (my daily) to jeeps and BMW's. Looking forward to exploring the content you've put out Brother 👍
Being from Ohio I can relate to the weather changing in the blink of an eye. That Jeep J10 is in pretty good shape. On the rare occasion I see one they are usually rotted out.
That's a pretty cool J10! She came alive pretty easy for sitting a couple of years. I was really surprised the carburetor wasn't just a glueball inside. 🍻

Being a Jeep lover all my life, that's one I never owned and it's a great one for resto. I've made my share of mistakes by modifing and racing some rare pieces over the years. I'd keep it as original as possible... it'll build value.
PBG sent me… I sure hope your more like him and less like all the other wannabe VGG guys ( don’t get me wrong I like Derik just tired of the copy cats) and that’s why really like PBG
Welcome, I to like Derek. I'm more aligned with my friend Dalton. Only Difference between me and him is I'm a sarcastically angry f*cking Gen X'r that speaks his mind 😁😏
sooo whats wrong with champion?? they run best in these amc engines, i have had nothing but problems with any other brand on the 4 Jeep engines i have, 1 being chrysler, but the rest are all amc for me.. ? Im confused on that comment.. fixing a bed like ths isnt QUITE as easy as you think lol, but i guess since most panels are straight it kinda is, but there is O aftermarket for it, so you have to MAKE everything for the beds yourself which is what im doing for mine. The problem is the inner and outer walls from amc were a weird mess of angled metal.. that the bed supports somehow sit on.. its strange... also i dont agree with people driving these unproven death traps on the road home... thats why i rented a uhaul trailer for $50 and towed My 76 J10 home with my wagoneer... Glad you didnt kill anyone
Champion used to be good, sheet metal and self tapers fixes everything, Everything Has brakes and steering in my arsenal and that's what make them safe. It's DRIVERS in any vehicle that make the road dangerous. People that shouldn't have, for any reason, a license. I'm a truck driver. Worst drivers are in the fanciest cars.
@@IrishOutlawGarage Not even close to any other bed. You dont know what ur talking about. Its the poor but complicated way they built these that causes em to rust . The gladiator and J10 j20 beds. Are complicated double walled beds. With weird bends and curves. The bed supports rot out as they sit angled in between the outer and inner wall, the mess you see on the outside thats always rusted on these. A patch riveted in doesnt fix a potential structural problem.. as the bed support holds both walls together. This is why so often you see these with flat beds. Once the outer wall rusts it starts to lose integrity. You gatta stick to your carburetors and engines. You clearly have no clue about these Jeep beds lol.
@@jeepsblackpowderandlights4305 Like I said , no plans on "restoring the bed". To me they are like any other bed. Which means cover the holes and use it. 🤙

@@IrishOutlawGarage don’t care…. Tired of the whole VGG thing. Good luck to you but I won’t be watching. Wish you the best. Now leave me alone and you go do you and best of wishes to you.

I’d love to have that !! It’s better than the one I don’t have
I’m digging the J10 for sure… glad you made it home from that long trip!!
I may need this
Jay's Irish outlaw garage and driveway of extreme automotive diversity. Love it!
It's a disease 🤣🤣🤣
Got to love them j trucks the 20 is the fun one
Irish Outlaw Garage...just what the Dr ordered!!

its a solid looking truck. its one that i've wanted for a long time. it may be worth a lil work to use it as a daily pickem up truck

Those 360s are good powerplants.
👍 Did that similar thing with a 91 jeep 2 yr ago...265 miles tho...
Throwin lit cigs out the window is a bs move. All that aside i dug the video
Agreed, old habit that needs to stop 👍
Love m j series trucks thanks for sharing
Not many J10's left around here good to see one being put to use.
Man you are ticking the box's!! Javelin and j-truck!!
Actually there's 2 Cj7's and a YJ also. And let's just say there's more. Should rename my channel to Irish AMC Garage lol

You can't go wrong with a Jeep!!!
Especially a REAL Jeep
@@IrishOutlawGarage they haven't made a real jeep since Eisenhower was president
That's a solid 2 miles.
🤣
Restore it well worth the effort these J-10s are nice trucks
I was born and raised in Illinois I know how the weather is there it sucks
Pretty cool old ride you don't see them around anymore
Imagine 30 of em lined up. New 1979. Sweet
Love the channel. I would do a running resto... piece by piece. AS you drive it.
I usually just make them safe. Give them a few upgrades, and we drive them. Thanks for watching!
That’s a pretty rust free vehicle for Illinois.
What's hilarious is there's a ranchero beside it that's the same year as what I almost bought instead of the Jeep.
You might be able to flip this jeep and make a few bucks or just keep it and add to the fleet.
I flip nothing. Saving them for family 👍
Make a badass off road rig out of it 👍
Great truck, would be a cool Power Tour ride,so much cooler than the new JT truck.
Seeing I don’t have a car, I won’t mind it
Pretty jealous of your free score. I also have a 79 jeep j10 but mine is black and was far from free especially after all the work mine has taken.
Nice truck. Just needs some Rustoleum Red primer and tires! ;)
It sounds good for an Illinois truck.
I like it
Man you are lucky you made it home from that loooooonnnnng trip😅
Now you're pitching with tunes.
I think radio shack used to sell Optimus head units.
Seems like the clutch always gives problems with a vehicle that's been sitting mouse house and rust is usually the problem
It was parked because of the clutch apparently
👍🏻⛽️🇦🇺💯
How’s that AMC 360 stack up to dodges old LA360? All things considered. I’ve never been around any AMC stuff.
Not sure really. I know AMC's are more torqy I believe
Unfortunately the j series trucks have been pretty much forgotten about. I just finished my 74 j20 minus the wood grain decal
I've been seeing a few restored ones lately
@@IrishOutlawGarage I should upload a video. My paint job and bodywork leave A LOT to be desired haha but I love it.

NGK belong in ATV's
