    Hike Notes:
    The Sawtooth are a joy to hike in the Summer. The trails are great and the mountains and the many lakes offer magnificent scenery. We hiked the Sawtooth for the first time in 2020. Since then I wanted to go back for more backpacking. The route of this trip did not follow an established "classic" itinerary of the Sawtooths; it was more of a personal choice to hike to specific lakes and areas I wanted to visit since our previous trip. I wanted to camp at Imogene Lake, Edna lake and Twin Lakes: they were all as beautiful as I expected them to be. My original plan was to also day hike to the Cramer Lakes but because I reached Pettit Lake at about 2 pm on the first day I had to make some adjustments.
    I truly enjoyed my time in the Sawtooth. I know I will be back for more backpacking in both the Sawtooth and the nearby White Cloud mountains.

    Wow. I love the Sawtooths and you captured them beautifully. So often, we do too much narrating in our films. You let nature do the talking with those stunning shots.

      @whistlepig Thank you much! I truly appreciate your comments as you totally understood the intent of our hiking videos. I took a look at your channel and watched the Pisgah's Art Loeb Trail video. Absolutely beautiful! You did a superb job capturing the beauty of the landscape and I thought your story telling was top notch! Subscribed. Different style and format, stunning none the less. Will watch more. Keep posting. Love your work. Enjoy your hiking.

    Great video! I sure hope to get there one day. Generally, what weather conditions did you experience, specifically the temperature range, and any thunderstorms?

    • @TrailsOfWander
      @TrailsOfWander  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This was a mid August trip. Weather was hot and dry, no rain at all. But frankly some rain / thunderstorm is certainly possible in the Sawtooth in August. Temperature wise, highs were in the 80s and lows in the 40s, but highs around 70s and lows in the 30s would probably be common. Thanks for watching!

      Thank you. Glad you liked it! I used a GoPro Hero 10, an iPhone 12 Pro and a compact Panasonic zoom camera. The combination of them helps me with different focal lengths, lighting and video shooting scenarios.
